Do we need to still execute the ADF package to push the data from ADF to Azure Purview?
Can the meta-data be auto pushed instead of running the package?

Hi,
Yes - the execution of the ADF pipeline brings the metadata into Purview. As of my knowledge, there is no other option available for bringing ADF metadata into Purview automatically.
