Hi Dusty, Marissa and Brooke. Love watching yall working with the bison. Yall got a lot of yearlings. Cool watching the process of harvesting the pecans Brooke was enjoying riding with him picking up the pecans. Thanks for taking us along. God bless and love yall ❤❤
Thank you so much, for showing us how things are done. Ive always taught my own children and grandkids how I was taught. Hands on, from a very young age. Thats how we all learn best. Im so proud of you Dusty, and Marissa, for including Brooks with the ranching and pecan harvesting. It brings back such wonderful memmories for me.😊
This is an awesome video. Pecans are the only nuts I use in my cooking and baking! Lots easier than using a small hammer and watching them fall into my apron, as I did with my elders in southern Alabama as a child.
🇮🇪☘️🇺🇸 I’m SO excited for you!!!! What’s best is you do it AS A MULTIGENERATIONAL FAMILY - and that is beyond rare today. Ty for allowing us to learn how you’re doing it- here in N.C. we too love our backyard pecans and black walnuts … self reliance self respect the American way🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸!!! Blessings 🙏🏼❤️
That’s great that Brooks is interested in things like that. At her age is when I started learning to have my own chores when we lived on our farm. Hate to say it but I still miss that kind of life but my body I don’t think can handle doing farm life anymore
I remember as a child in Louisiana collecting pecans from the back yard, as well as we went to a big field somewhere. Then my folks sold them, I think for like 50 cents a pound, but we're talking 50-60 years ago so I could very well be mistaken! Happy holidays all!
This is the most expensive way to do it, but you get the highest yield. When my family and I lived in Tulsa, our next-door neighbor had a pecan tree that more than half the pecans fell in our yard, and the show was kill the grass so starting in September I would always check every day and pick up what I found my dad and I would, show them while my mom made a cinnamon sugar coding to put on them and bake them in the oven. That’s some good eaten!! This was an interesting process to see, but it reminded me of my family’s own process of doing it.
This is awesome that you are helping to promote local small business. You all should get together and make a tourist map of places to visit eventually branching out to the entire state.
DUSTY and Marissa super video. Really enjoy your video on all the job's but watching the part about harvesting your pecans. Merry Christmas to the family, Brooke is really getting into being part of the farm animals. 🤶🎅☃️☃️⛈⛈💞💞🦃🦃🐓🐓❤❤❤.
Another great video! I am fascinated with your bison. Harvesting those pecans is a lot of work. Loved the hail storm of pecans. Looking forward to seeing them in your merch store..
To a wonderful year with you and your family hope you and Marissa, Brooks, Kevin, and your Mom have a wonderful Christmas and can't wait for New Year to what coming, From Summerville SC
Thank you for the pecan adventure! That’s a lot of work. Makes you appreciate each morsel. Wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and A Very prosperous and Happy New Year!❤❤
My home town is Las Cruces, NM. I love pecans. Our family farm grew cotton, onions, green chilie, alfalfa, lettuce, and corn. We had pecan orchards all around us. Every crop is a truly interesting event. Merry Christmas 🎄 🎅 to your family and Blesdings for the coming New Year.
Hey Yearlings 😊🦬 Hey Blackjack you Knucklehead 😊🦬💜 Pretty neat process for getting the pecans!👏👏👏 Hey Brooks, and Marisa 😊🌸💜 Keep on Bison Ranchin, Happy Holidays to you all! 🙏🦬🌸🎅💜
VERY COOL Brooks is an amazing little girl she Absorbs from you that is really Obvious SHE is going to be a Hard worker just like Mom and Dad 😍😍😍😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 GOD Bless and Keep on Keeping on
~ Merry Christmas to you Dusty , Marissa & Brooke🎄🎄♥♥😊😊Thank you for sharing your day to day with the rest of us . Your smiles and positive attitude brighten my day . I'm a subscriber from way back even though i do not comment much . Many blessing to you all !♥
It was pretty cool seeing the Savage machine lift up & dump into the bag. Pretty interesting seeing the process. I heard or read where the shaker actually stimulates the roots. I’m not sure if that’s true but it still is interesting. Brook was enjoying herself picking out the bad stuff. I’m sure I’ve already said it but we wish your entire family a very Merry Christmas from Denise & I in snowy Minnesota. 🎄🎄🎄🎁🎄🎄🎄
Really interesting to see how the pecan was being harvested and processed! I checked your pecans the other day and they were SOLD OUT! I hope you will start having a pecan orchard and make a go of it! Thank you and have a Merry Christmas!
Before 2 months ago, I lived in between Ada and Stonewall. I know just where yall visited! Now I'm in Ardmore! Gotta love Oklahoma. It's fun to see places I've been before on here, and learning about new stuff is fun! ❤🫶🙏 Merry Christmas, yall! 🎀🌲🎅🤶☃️❄️
This was a fascinating video! I love to learn from all of you! Have a very Blessed, Safe and Merry Christmas! With loads of love, prayers, and gentle hugs to y'all and your critters too. May God bless y'all always, from Donna Gulyas in Florida. 🥰🙏🙏🙏👍🐕🐎🦬🦃🐔🐓🎄🌴
Fascinating!! Had no idea how pecans are harvested. They are like little pieces of gold! Nuts are a great part of my diet. Thanks for showing this. Happy Holidays to The Baker Family and CTB❤
That process was really interesting to watch. I love how you use your land to start new enterprises and projects. Are you going to plant more native pecan trees in the future?? Brooks was having a hayday working beside you. May you all have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. ❤❤🎄🎄🎄
Fascinating! I enjoyed this! (I wish I could have seen the turkeys when you went in to feed and water them.) Nice looking bulls, especially the one you've designated to travel to Denver!
Of course, we didn't have as many courses or animals to feed on our little farm when I was a kid, but in the barn, we kept the cattle feed in metal barrels to keep the mice out of it. Chicken feed was in a more rodent proof building so were okay in just the bags. I don't think we had the big plastic barrels back in the 50s-60s.
this is so cool .. my granddaddy only moms side was from Georgia and any time his family would come to Maryland they would bring fresh Pecans .. unfortunately I can no longer eat them developed a tree nut allergy after doing radiation treatments for Cancer .. but oh my I loved them for so long

It would be nice occasionally to see the greetings passed along, and their reactions.
Never been to your channel, but I grew up on the family pecan orchard. When I saw yall sorting in the thumbnail, I just had to click. Gave me a few flashbacks to different times.

You need Troy Landry from Swamp People to bring you A” Tree Shaker” gator to harvest pecans.
I would like to have a smaller version of the machine that picks up pecans for trees. I have 7 pecans trees in my yard.
Merry Christmas ❤❤🎉🎉 Very impressive 👏 😀

Hard shell native pecans are best harvested after a hard frost.
In Italy, they put down big tarps so the olives all fall onto that. Could this be done w/ pecans? Just curious.. You showing the process, this was very interesting. Thank you!
Christmas blessings
I loved this video. I will order. I'm from S. MO. enjoy your videos re Bison.
Merry Christmas. This is the way almonds are harvested in California
Exciting Pecan process...can't wait to try some...

The harvesting fingers look much like the plucking fingers for poultry harvesting.
That was very cool. Thanks for sharing the process. Wondering how Daniel and DeJay are feeling about you competing with them in the pecan business, lol.
