I looked up how elephants affect feng shui. If you place an elephant or pair of elephants at your front door, it's supposed to bring you good luck. They are also seen to be guardians and protectors of the household. If they are placed in a bedroom, they symbolize love and faithfulness between two people. The materials of the elephants also affect the meaning :)

I love how spacious it is and it's a perfect example that you don't need to cover every square metre with furniture etc to create a homey atmosphere. Now I' super excited to see your new home! :-) BTW, every time you talk about moving and moving your most beloved pieces with you I'm always so curious to learn about the process: how did you look for companies for moving, is there any restriction from customs point of view, etc so really the practical side of it. We moved to London over a year ago and started to think about moving our furniture back from Hungary. I'd loved to hear the process how you decided what to cut vs what to sell instead and then about the execution. :-))

actually, if you mix the RGB color chart, white is the result. Like, in those old TV's, if you watch very closely, you can see that the white areas are formed by red, blue an green light spots. So you can say that white is not only one color, but a mixture of several colors :) and it's my favorite too! :D

Mimi, supposedly, the elephants bring good luck and fortune but only if their trunks are pointing towards the windows. You have them in the opposite direction. They are suppose to face the light (to bring in light into your life). Hope this helps.

Wow, such an incredible flat! I especially love the ceilings; I have high ceilings in my flat (about 12 feet) but they're just plain as its a modern flat. There's something so special about the decorative cornicing and ceiling roses you have, something for my dream home Pinterest board!
