i never seen before people cook this fruits like this...because in here we eat it with 'sambal'..or make 'jeruk' if we cook it we peel of the skin and chopped it nicely... cook with sambal... nice.. but this is interesting... we learn and see how people cook and eat their food in their own way...

I just know if I had to cook like that in a sari I would be up in flames in five minutes. I don't know how they do it. I would be covered in soot, spatters, grease marks, food, blood from the knife from cutting myself.......

Oops, apologies. Thanks for the correction. I only meant that I could never wear something so long, flowing and elegant to cook over an open flame. I have problems wearing yoga pants and a t shirt. These ladies cook over what is essentially an open camp fire, a full evening dress, jewellery and still manage to produce a full meal from scratch. As for that machete thing between the toes? I would have lost several toes and fingers years ago. Love the ladies, love the videos, LOVE the food - looking forward to the cookbook....

These are not hog plum. In the Caribbean they are know as pommecythere, golden apple, Jun plum just to name a few. Hog plum are smaller and have a different type of seed.
