    @majorsromo No, we did not add any "false" clapping at the end of the video, the sound is exactly as it was in the room, we just added very soft music at the beginning and at the end. A few people did in fact clap as it was very unusual that the current women's world chess champion beat the current overall world chess champion and the game had been incredibly tense.

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @Nickalispicalis The game was played at the official FIDE Blitz time control, which is "3+2", meaning the game is 3 minutes per player for the whole game with an increment of 2 seconds per move added from the very beginning of the game. The increment allows for much higher quality games to be played, as the risk of losing with a big material advantage is practically gone. The games lasts about 10 minutes with this time control.

    beating the world champion. That must be a rush!
    Nice game, nice commentary - 5 stars.

    @Bjazz Thanks. That game was at the official FIDE blitz time control 3+2 (3 minutes for the game + 2 seconds per move). On my channel I also show many classical games played with slow time controls.

    Anand is not in his best form right now. But still this victory is amazing.

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @Bjazz The official FIDE time control for blitz is 3+2 (3 minutes + 2 seconds per move). It's about the same as 5 minute blitz, but gives better quality games. On my DVD all the games are commented from start to finish.

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  15 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @zereniaa Of course we shake hands, at the beginning of the game and at the end of the game. Vishy Anand is a very nice and polite person.

    Is that, at the righ side of the video in the beggining, a DVD you are selling about blitz game playing?

    You will find on my channel also games I lost, in particular, a game against Stefanova and one against T. Kosintseva.

    In this tournament I beat Carlsen, Anand, Aronian, Morozevich, Grischuk, Judith Polgar, Gashimov, Naiditsch, Tkachev, all rated 200 points higher than I. Indeed it shows I am stronger in blitz than in "classical" chess. However, if I were you I would never say "always", as sometimes unexpected things happen... ;-)

  • @Bjazz

    Nicely played! Was it a 3 or 5 minute blitz? Your videos are really nice, but I'd like to see the annotations and analysis for the full games. Let's root for Anand on the current championship games.

    Those who have written that a woman chess player will become chess champion. My reply - NEVER EVER! Currently in the list of 100 best players only ONE female.

    Great game and accomplishment Aleksandra. It is really nice to see a world champion replying to our random posts.
    Love your work!
    Who do you think will win Anand or Toplaov?

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Cliroxs Yes in chess there are women's tournaments and also mixed tournaments, where women can play with men.

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    In chess it makes absolutely no difference if you play with your right or left hand. If you're playing blitz chess without incremental time, the left handed player will play faster with the clock on his left, and slower with the clock on his right, but that issue exists for right-handed players who have the clock on their left side. In any case, nowadays, most blitz games have some incremental seconds added each move, so the issue practically does not exist.

    Alexandra Kosteniuk these videos are terrific I just wanted to let you know that. There is a sense of humor in your instruction and the irony of your victories brought upon by your masterful skills makes them fun to watch. Just love your work, amazing job. Just wanted to also add that we teach a great group of female players over here and they love that you stomp the big boys. Thanks again.

    @mikethedevil I think exactly at that time Vishy saw the maneuver Qc8+ and Qf5 which puts him in an extremely uncomfortable position with the pinned Knight on e4.

  • @adityamookerjee.

    Anand is an unusual champion. He plays very fast, but he plays, according to those who know, classical Chess, which means he either plays by his own classical rules, or he doesn't have to think about the requirements of classical Chess. The latter situation means that classical Chess is natural to him. I think there is no dividing line between the two situations, in his play, perhaps. Well done, Ms Kosteniuk!

    @ChessQueen Thanks. You are very kind to answer all our questions here ( not just the mine ones ). I will check out your DVD, maybe your tips help me in winning the "WinB( C)" more easily, the chess engine of the Internet Chess Club, my daily enemy there. :) I am not a strong player, sometimes is hard for me to win the WinB (C) there in blitz games. I hope the DVD can be sent to Brazil. Thanks for your excellent channel in TH-cam.

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @maschinenmeister Yes you are right, it's "only" blitz. It's a fast chess game. The whole chess game lasted just about 10 minutes. Blitz chess is fun, it's the future of chess. It brings more unpredictability in the game, much more interesting for the spectators to watch (and often also for the players to play!). In a blitz tournament in one day one can play up to 20 games, which is impossible in a regular time control.

  • @ChessQueen

    OMG!... it's fantastic!! the precision transforming possibilities ... Your positional sacrifice was simply amazing, even more in blitz, when you don't have so much time to calculate every line!! ... The mathematical mate position ending the game.... You simply was a machine here!! ha ha ha.
    Congrats Alexandra, this wonderful game is in my collection of «Golden Games»

    Thank you for your video, chess blitz are like the rush 400m in athletic games , and chess bullet like the rush 100m or ping pong. Yes, there is also the 40 km marathon, but every sport need different levels, and I guess Miss Kosteniuk is a genius in every level.

    Do you have any observations about left handed chess players?

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @x33mmm My classical chess ELO rating is approximately 2520. Range 2500-2550 recent periods. But in blitz it would be higher :-)

    Yes it's true Bobby Fischer once said that... but I think times have changed and he would not be able to say that now. Top women chess grandmasters are considerably stronger now and can give a real fight to any man on the planet.

  • @zseriu
    @zseriu 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    This question can be applied to every sportsperson but i'm curious about your opinion.
    You tell that somewhere deep in your heart you wanted to take revenge.
    Is it always the case that the top sportsmen/women are ambitious people? And isn't this noxious for someone in long term?
    I know that you weren't that serious and it was a figurative speech but still "revenge" is a very strong word. It's also commonly used in sports.

  • @Ray0X0
    @Ray0X0 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Beautiful and exciting game ... Defeat Vishy must be very a demanding task!
    I'd like who is in your opinion the current strongest player in blitz mode (please, include yourself.)

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @familyguy1231 I like all styles of chess, blitz, rapid and classical. Blitz and rapid are more fun because you get to play more games in a day and the player that loses does not get that upset as there are more games to play almost immediately. As you can see from my videos, the quality of blitz and rapid chess can still be quite high.

  • @ChessQueen
    @ChessQueen  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    @zereniaa Sure on this channel there are many classical "slow" games (including from the world championship), rapid games, even Chess960 games, and of course blitz games.

  • @Vedioviswritingservice
    @Vedioviswritingservice 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    What were the Time controls ? If is a rapid game, it is even more of an accomplishment, as Anand what thought to be the one of the best in the world in this area. As a WC, Anand perhaps can be considered a first amongst equals.

    @VinnyLog I have a daughter, at the moment 4 years old. I'd love her to play chess, but not professionally, just during the pre-school and school period since it helps a lot in developing the intellect of the child, memory, concentration, logic. However, I will never force her to play chess is she does not want to.

    I agree with you, Ruxistico, women's titles are needed, otherwise many women would stop playing chess. When we will have more women playing professional chess (it's happening little by little), the level will go up, and the difference with men will be less.

    @ChessQueen I totally agree. IM are more than amateurs playing chess for hobby, you must devote time to chess in order to reach their level. @pixarian72 The world is going faster nowadays, people have less time to play tournaments that last 9 days and 7 hour games. On the web, by fear of computer use, everybody is playing online blitz. Society as a whole is now doing less in-depth thinking, more multi-tasking. Blitz tournaments with many games in a day would seem to be more and more popular as time goes by. How can one wait for 7 hours until you see your next email, SMS, chat message, TH-cam comment, missed phone call?
