Just subbed this channel came over from in the wood yard! I love everything outdoors hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, shed hunting, firewood and anything else the outdoors has to offer
Morning fellas, this looks like it’s gonna be a lot of fun Chris, quite a morning of new rollouts, don’t know how to “Process” all this! There’s a TH-cam channel “Mikes videos of Beavers” ( yeah really, wasn’t what I thought it was) might help you and Ken get into the minds of the crafty little critters. Take care.
Hiya Chris, new channel is looking great! Also, good way to double up income, from TH-cam, which is always a good thing! Photography/scenery is wonderful! Looking forward to more outdoors stuff with Kenny and associates! Good move Chris, all you need now is more time! 10/10 for: effort, content, performance, and results. Will be watching with interest and curiosity. Keep up the good work y’all! Len (Devon 🇬🇧)
In that hole you had to drop the trap in if you turn the trap sideways and use a longer cable you can put both springs on one stick one side of the run and hold the cable to the steak and put it in deep without dropping it and then use another angle through the jaws the opposite side as a non swivel stick and you have total control of your trap, just a suggestion works great
Man oh man can feel that beaver hat already guys. I think this is going to be a big channel. Did you see that short I think from tic tok where the tree crushed the beavers head when he chewed it off? It was awesomeness 😆 no trap needed ha. Have a great season.
Wow, Chris and Kenny, I learned a lot. I knew nothing about beaver trapping. At one point I thought you might need to put a lanyard on Ken. (I don't think he can have that much "fun" in icy water, but what do I know) Carry on. Do people eat the meat? Hmm, an Otter Purse?👜
We sell them. They are used for making cowboy hats, beaver fur hats, coats, meat for dogs or fur farm foxes and mink, tails for leather, castors for perfume.
Are those gauntlet gloves insulated? I haven't seen blue ones. I have a PVC pair that are green and gatered together. Kinda a pain in the butt especially with super cold water and colder air. Damn cold yet your hands sweat in them making it real bad
how much area are you covering with all the sets out , looked like a couple dark ones there at the end, get alot of red ones up here think the call them red rims
We had two lines that we checked every other day one was about 140 miles and the other 100ish. All total we had out about 250 traps for 2 weeks and caught 529 beaver. Lots more to come!
Funny my wife won’t even try certain parts of a cow like the tail or the tongue...can’t imagine if I said “hey honey we’re having beaver for dinner tonight!”!🤣
Life in the deep north.. Very different than where I’m from. I can’t wait to see more. Why were you worried about leaving tracks from the trap to the road? Thieves? I’m sure it’s not the cops.. lol
I have no idea of hunting seen the ice fishing video, Ken and Chris who thought you to hunt for Beaver? I’m gathering they cause lots of damage looking at that tree...
Would you ever do a trail cam so we can see the catch? I guess you'd have to create a channel that's not monetized and just send people to it so we could see the catch, shootings, etc.
I’m loyal in the woodyard and out of the woodyard … Really enjoy your videos.
thanks!

Yes, Ken is not a camera man!
Well Chris I would love to get a beaver hat I just don't know when the heck I would ever wear it living in Southern California.
Selling the Otter or making something of them? Selling the castor too? Great new channel Chris!

First year trapping county road GG??
No, we have trapped there since about 1986 and hunted deer there since 1975, but our dad hunted there in the 1950s so ya, we have been there a while.
Wow I was 344 subscriber, Now I have to find more time to watch.
Just find it everyday! HA!
are beaver good to eat?
Yes, they taste just like beef, great jerky too!
I have no idea of hunting seen the ice fishing video, Ken and Chris who thought you to hunt for Beaver?

Our grandpa was a full time professional trapper, we started at 7&8 years old!
Would you ever do a trail cam so we can see the catch? I guess you'd have to create a channel that's not monetized and just send people to it so we could see the catch, shootings, etc.
Yes, some day I will do that and this is the channel for it!
helo do you eat them beaver and sell the fur
We sell the whole thing to a buyer.

Great, thanks for watching!
Do any of you or Ken's kids ever trap with you guys? Seems like this will be a lost skill to the next generation.
