I'm staying far from downtown during the RNC! I'm thinking of leaving for the weekend.
We have all attended childrens birthday parties where the parents spent a fortune to give their child the best kid birthday ever and the kid acts like a spoiled monster on crack and craps all over the event; humiliating the parents in the process. That is what I believe is going to happen at the RNC convention. When Dementia Donnie sees the princess castle jumper instead of the Spider-Man he requested, all hell is going to break loose.

I am very center-focused almost left-leaning for a Republican, especially as I get older and wiser... I am for social programs to benefit people, but I want to see the plan on how these programs get funded without taxing the unholy heck out of everyone. I am not against prisons, but I would like to see them move towards reform instead of punishment. I am ok reducing funding for law enforcement, but only if that funding is then used (with a ton of additional funding) for programs to house/treat the mentally ill, provide drug rehab, and other programs so that Law Enforcement doesn't have to be experts in all of these areas... we are asking/expecting too much of our police departments for them to operate successfully. Oh, and we sure as heck need to address climate change... like yesterday... that sh*t is real and it is only getting worse... Hope that was a bit helpful...

Just a correction on Haley, she did say that if you wanted an abortion it was up to you, but her personal stand was she wouldn’t. She is personally pro choice since she used IVF to have her children. Of course the RNC will back the MAGA. Trump owns the party now, he appointed his daughter in law as co-chair of the party. But that does not mean the party rank and file agree with this. The old time GOP conservatives are NOT on board with Trump, who does not represent any conservative values. Particularly the one that says a felon cannot ever be president. The MAGA are so brainwashed of course they will (violently) go along with this, but in fact the MAGA base is only half the party, 45 million at most, and that is nowhere near enough to win, or even get close enough to cheat and steal their way in. So this really could be the end of the (R) party as an ongoing thing. Of course some conservatives would hold their noses and vote for him anyway, but the ting is Trump lost last time by 7,042,000 votes, meaning he not only cannot lose any republican support he has to find at least 7 million new voters, and in the meanwhile there will be about 3-4 million new voters in 2024 over 2020 as new people turn 18. I would say there is a 90% chance of Biden winning if he stays healthy. I only leave the 10% margin because the (R)s will have some sort of coup up their sleeves yet again and maybe one of these days it will work. If it does it would plunge the US into gross instability. Might even end the country. I know at the least I would be gone, no way would I live in a USA Fat Ass is running. Or, RUINING!
