Roof! Roof! Roof! So glad the rafters are there and I'm so impressed at Julie's rapid adaption to climbing up into the rafters! That says to me she's in great shape and I'm praying for you all to recover those sore muscles. God bless you! The sheeting will go quick if the wind stays down. So proud of you folks! :)
almost ready, the roof will also be completed soon,..wow,is that the first snow comes.. hope can be able to stay in homestead before really snows come..
I have to say Julie looks very impressive. She was a closet framer and roofer the whole time, and now she's blossomed into a beautiful flower. And her husband by her side leads the way....worried sick about you guys freezing.
Hope the roof sheeting and tin go quickly and smoothly. I admire the positive attitudes you all have with all the adversity of North Idaho fall weather.
Excellent progress guys ! The trusses look great, and yes, it is finally starting to look like a a legit house ! Great job guys ! Keep up the great work !
Funny story now.. you mentioned dominos, our old place in rural alberta, canada while my dad was putting up our trusses the wind blew pretty hard one day and they all fell on another like dominos. It wasn't funny to him at the time, but now we get a laugh out of it.
Idaho weather is so unpredictable. This is the first time in all my life of living here that we had snow in September. We normally get a really nice Indian summer and this year we didn't have one. I've worn shorts and a T shirt in October to rake leaves. But you just never know what the weather will bring. I am glad your able to work on the roof with the trusses up now.
Hello how are you I hope you are fine I work with wooden houses and I have a strong experience and work the same way and I am looking for work in any country and I am from Lebanon and I have a lot of huge works and houses that reach an area of 500 m
walls windows, doors, and roof sheathing, then roofing material. You can do the floors & ceilings later. You want to get it weather tight first. Then work inside all winter to finish.
Every time, lately, when I see your videos, I have to say a silent pray. That Heavenly Father will help you get dried in and that your family will not be cold. God Bless you
Ah! Man! I was hoping for more! I sure hope you got the vapor barrier on before all that wet weather! But, then again, did you get up at least a temp "roof?" OSB and moisture so do not mix. Update soon?? (I'm no longer a new sub, but please put me out of the misery of worry.)
I'm slowly catching up , it is Nov. 17 now that I am watching this....My question is : When you move in on Nov 1 , will Sarah and Seth put their tents inside for more privacy until the bedroom walls get finished ?

LOL Tux dont want anything to do with the snow or cold. Congrads on the truss. Already waiting on another video. lol
It's a crazy year, we got our first snow of the year also. Word around town is this winter is going to be long and cold. Stay warm over there guys. :)
Those are the screws I was telling you about a long time ago. That's what I used on my house instead of the metals Ty's. So much easier to use
Courage

You need the 'No snow Guarantee' .... Sending Flakes of Love instead
Snow in September? Its normal in North Idaho?
Be careful climbing on the damp wood. Once it starts freezing they become slippery. The snow was a no show in southern Idaho, thank goodness.
Hi😊
I'm slowly catching up , it is Nov. 17 now that I am watching this....My question is : When you move in on Nov 1 , will Sarah and Seth put their tents inside for more privacy until the bedroom walls get finished ?
At this point in the series we are not sure how that will pan out. But soon you will see. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I thought you wanted no load baring walls?
Be carefull to hight
Wow people won't be flipping out over it not having a roof.
I just caught a glimpse of the truss, no wonder it took forever
Tux just wants to get warm. Will you all get the cabin built before winter?
Too bad the metal braces had to be adjusted . I thought that they would be perfect for you . Still going to build dormers . Lots of work to be done .
Woww..salji nya kuat turun. Ibu Julie orang indon mana bisa tahan dengan sejuk salji..hahahaha😁
