    As you repeatedly say your spoiled by the larger sensor cameras. I took my Fz2500 out today with some other photographers to shoot birds in flight. I got many sharp images - some of Osprey catching fish in a lake. There are features / settings on this camera that you might not be aware of that can help overcome the limitations of it's one inch sensor. I like to use AFF - auto focus flexible - if the camera detects movement the focus becomes continuous. I use i ISO - again, here, when the camera detects motion the ISO & shutter speed are increased. I set the ISO limit to 3200. Metering - multi. Burst rate - high or med. Shutter - Auto. Auto focus set to ' One area ' with an increase in size & I shift it up 4 notches. Sometimes I'll use the 4K burst mode & extract the individual frames I want. I also like the built in Macro feature.There is no perfect camera. At some point I'm sure I'll be getting a larger sensor camera. I just hope it doesn't get left at home because I instead am grabbing the Fz2500 which is so versatile & an all - in - one. Cheers.

      Thanks for your comment and sharing your experience! It definitely is a versatile camera that has been jam packed with features that a few years ago were not available. Haha we have so many options so it makes it hard for someone like me to stick to the camera having the larger sensors with really excellent hands-off tracking and just being to crop to a similar field of view or something like that. But yeah, by no means a bad camera!

      @@MACROMARVIN One of the Fz2500 other features I like & often use is in the SCENE Mode. It's named ' Hand Held Night Shot ' & is great for low light situations. The camera takes 5 exposures at a high shutter speed - which freezes any motion & at the same time a high ISO setting - getting any possible light - which also eliminates noise - and combines them into one photo. Because It's an autonomous option in the SCENE Mode, I'm not stuck with the camera's ' deciding ' to use it in Auto Mode. A friend in our camera group has a full frame Sony that takes sharp images but she complains that whenever she changes lenses she gets dust on the sensor. I've herd this is somewhat common with Snny's.

    I've read many reviews of the FZ2500 which was not flattering for shooting still images. However, since I'm a videographer more than a photographer, I decided to for the FZ 2500 as the reviews for videos were quite excellent. What I want to point here is that it is a bridge camera, meaning it is a bridge between a stills and video camera and as someone below said, the presets are excellent for still photography but they need to be chosen wisely. I just wish you had played with it more before returning it.

      I agree that more time with a camera helps, but since already know what I’m looking for only a few days with it is enough to either convince me or not. It’s a decent camera just not for me

    I have a question: You show us nice clear in focus shots of the diving pelican , yet you say the image quality is less than you desired. Were the diving pelican shots taken with the FZ2500? They seemed good to me!

      Thanks for your comment! To clarify, the shots look ok but they aren’t files you can play with much. The files get ruined very quickly with a few LR raw edits, and you can’t crop very much because it gets pixelated quickly. So although you’ll take a good shot here and there at best I’d be printing these at 4x6 or 8x10 with some compromises. They just feel like snap shot images compared to what I’m use to with a larger sensor as well as lens quality.
      In regards to focus some hit some were misses. It’s not the best focusing system. It’s an ok travel camera at best for me to be honest.

      @@MACROMARVIN Actually, I do completely understand. I bought an FZ300, then looking for more, I bought an FZ2500. Then I bought a used a7r2. At first the 28-70 kit zoom, later the 24-105 G f4. Finally, wonderful image quality. But I still had the FZ2500, so I experimented because I also stared using the Sony Play Memories software. I do not develop raw files with much skill, so I tried the FZ2500 STD profile, -4 sharpening, -4 noise reduction. jpgs with the SPM software. I was amazed because suddenly the FZ2500 jpgs were useful to print out to A3+! The a7r2 is superior, but the results are closer than I expected. Still there is no real room to crop more than 20% of the image, and the focusing is slow for anything except landscape and portrait. But I do like the whole system in my hand grab and go light aspect of it. BTW I learned the hard way do NOT save SPM improved jpgs to the same card used and reinstalled in the FZ2500. The resulting software incompatibility causes the Panny to freeze up. Requiring a reformatted SD card and a total Reset of the camera!

      Thats great! Sounds like you’ve found a way for it fit with your uses. But yeah it’s hard to beat the Sony goodness haha

      @@MACROMARVIN You are correct! Sony is better. I happened to see an interesting TH-cam video comparing "Hasselblad X1D (II) SENSOR vs Leica SL2 SENSOR | Clear Winner". 19:18 in length. Very interesting!

    I have five of these. You're not even recommending it to the right people. Amazing camera for the right use cases, which are video. I've only taken a few photos with them just playing with it. For filming sports it's great. You can leave it running as long as you want. No overheating. As a video camera for multi-cam sports broadcasts it's amazing. A video camera form factor with a 1" sensor is going to cost a lot more.

    Once tou get used to apsc and full frame looks its hard to go down to a 1 inch ughhh. That sucks that the pelican shot didn't come out it looks extra epic. Im running with the z50 now they have the yellow program so you can buy it for 30 days try it and return if you dont like it. Im 20 days in and i already sold my a7rii lol.

      Yeah dude the larger sensors just make the image look so much better. The pelican shots came out ok but left a lot to be desired in the quality area.
      Neat dude! I’ve been seeing your Nikon shots. That’s the one camera brand I haven’t owned yet haha
      So far I’m running Sony as my pro setup and Fuji as my everyday

      They are gonna need to bring out more Z lenses for the Z50! Have you adapted any from the dslr mount?

    Thanks.
    What features will you recommend to #Panasonic #Lumix if they want to upgrade this camera:
    #Panasonic #Lumix #FZ2500MII / #FZ2000MII:
    The #FZ2500 or #FZ2000 Mark 2 =>>> a #G90 / #G95 or #GH5 with fixed lens?
    This Bridge is pretty popular one for video content.
    I think all bridge superzoom cameras should be a good Hybrid tool for stills and videos..
    The reason why you will buy a bridge to have a bit of all in one body.
    Thanks.

    Hello, can this camera Shoot vlog?

    • @MACROMARVIN
      @MACROMARVIN  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could definitely try at 24mm with the image stabilization, although many vloggers may prefer wider lenses (this may be the biggest limitation). The flip screen is a plus slowing you to see yourself. I’d say the autofocus would be decent to track your face. Also has a standard mic jack so you could mount a shotgun mic.

    I got dizzy watching your video. The background is shaking so much it looks like you're in the middle of a 9.3 earthquake.
