I have always loved old cars and my father realized he had one and they don't make them money like they used to I love old cars and used to work at a old car show on Friday nights but miss it I like seeing all old cars and beautiful cars I wish they would bring them all back

One of reasons 56 Chevys are rare is the strike at GMC Jan 1956 to June 1956 both in USA and Canada

I am always SOOO pleased to see original cars painstakingly restored to their original factory state and specifications!! They are wonderful time capsules and a great teaching tool to those so much younger than the cars themselves!!

As a snowbird, I have seen this show for years, and it has always been fantastic, I was just saying how I feel. But after seeing hundreds of car show, across North America, and as time has went by, I notice that more and more of these cars are showing up, it's almost as if every possible 55/57 has been restored no mater where you go. My point is the cars of all maker's in the 50's are worth being restore before they all disappear forever.

Now this is where I just about cannot resist mentioning that I like to poke a little fun at the fact that I like to enjoy a "Metropolitan" ice cream bar, and inadvertently call the Nash a Neopolitan.

It amazes me how many can I have stuff on the bonnet obstructing your view of the road.
Pete peeve of mine as well! Keep in mind these cars are static displays in most of this video, stuff could be added for effect at the show.

Not too sure... 38 to 41 chevy wagon gray with wood bow, top any other fine features, most certain the time to just make show ready, is more that what it would take any other five cars there, ... an trust me there are some sweet rides there. Damn nice camera work!

Can anyone tell me what model and year of Chevrolet is shown starting at 56:37? God, what a car! What a restoration job! I can't imagine how many thousands of hours, and tens of thousands of dollars went into restoring that car, but it has my vote for Best in Show! What a gorgeous car!
Thats a 1938 Chevrolet Suburban, the nicest I've ever seen
I've owned five [1994 through 1998] Suburbans in the past 20 years. I just love these cars. I love the old Suburbans most of all, but I've never been able to afford one. I agree with you, this is the nicest example I've seen. I think he's done a little coustomizing, though, in his treatmemt of the engine [especially the air cleaner[ and to the wood of the rear deck.Did you notice that? It is truly amazing!
