I don't think a lot of ppl realize that it takes a certain kind of personality to become a TH-camr. To be able to just talk to strangers and start conversations with ppl you don't know it's NOT EASY. And to be confident enough to speak another language with them when you're not fluent, even if conversational, is HARD.
And if u want to make money from TH-cam u have to be creative and fun with your videos.

Been at this dating rodeo for 10 years now. I have always dated outside my race/nationality. Long story short, I''m not most Filipino guys' type and I also don't match well with the values of most Filipino men my age. And so I have dated black, brown, white etc. For me, it was never so much about cultural differences that was the problem; it's always the small repetitive things that reflects their traits which create problems. One guy I dated was so messy and negligent with his things and it exhausted me to pick up after him and remind him every day. I had troubles with another guy who kept criticizing my choice of work or career and woudn't stop yapping about how it would be better if I wore more neutral colors. As for other people, shit talkers will always talk shit because THEY are never happy. I'm dating a black guy? "Oh your babies will be dark" (he was Nigerian-Lebanese and we literally had the same skin color). Dating a white guy? "You only want money from him" (despite me being more educated than him). Dating someone who looks like me but is actually a foreigner (which is my case now)? "If you would date a foreigner, why not just go with white men so you can have cute babies?". I swear, assholes will remain assholes. And it's best to just shut them up with a good comeback and mind your own relationship and business and be happy. :)

There are ppl of every race that will love and marry someone of a different race however most ppl marry others who look like them (due to community, culture etc.). There is nothing wrong whatsoever with falling in love and marrying outside your race but if that is your goal it is a problem. If your primary reason for dating someone is because they are not black it is a problem. In general, I would not approach a man first. I need to feel that he wanted me and made an effort to get my attention. Also my standard is that he needs to now how to be a leader and I feel if I make the first move then I will always be the one leading the relationship. I didn’t want that so I never approached a guy first…my husband approached me and he worked to get me. When he makes me mad I get real satisfaction thinking back on how he pursued me - lol.

Secondly, when you start off your video with "....a Nigerian youtuber in .....", then you're projecting representation. My beautiful sister, 35 years ago, my Asian mother and Jamaican father got married. They’re still going strong Alhamdulilah. However - the other day, someone made a comment about how Asian people “don’t marry black people” and my mum and dad looked at each other and burst out laughing SO hard. I am going to say something controversial. Its something that I notice and that I see often.
When its a black woman and a non black man the black lady is GORGEOUS...like you Amanda, or someone like Sade Adu.

when it comes to culture and marriage, stereotyping can cause negative effects.
First let me start off by saying I recently saw some of your videos. I think you’re funny and you give off a positive vibe. My dad is African American & my mother is Mexican. Therefore I embrace both sides of my cultures. My parents raised me to respect other ethnicities. I just got married and my husband happens to be Chinese. Did i marry him because of his ethnicity? Absolutely not. In the end of the day people are people. Everyone is an individual and we are free to choose who we want to be with. In honesty it’s really dumb to limit yourself based on your ethnicity. My parents didn’t have an issue with my husband being Chinese. Then on the other hand his mother has an issue with him dating someone who isn’t chinese. She even made a comment when we were dating saying “ what if the children come out dark?” She has never seen me nor I her. She has never gotten to interact with me. She is more focused on my skin tone. She didn’t even care to ask her son if I was a good person. If I treated him well. An actual mother would worry about that. That made me see her differently. It didn’t hurt my feelings because I know stupidity comes from everywhere. If they come out dark what is wrong with that? I never thought being black was “ugly” and no one could tell me any different. I don’t need her acceptance. If she has a problem with my skin tone or ethnicity then, the real issue is her. In the end people will always have their comments. What really matters is your own value and perspective. It’s great that you know what truly matters is what you want for YOUR life. Continue to live the life you want for yourself. I’ll be looking forward to new videos 🙂

I’ll always be respectful to his mother but if she still has that mindset I wouldn’t want her around my future children. In honesty I’m around the same complexion of my husband but I’m still half black. I love both of my sides. Plus my genetics can make my future kids come out darker and if they do that perfectly fine. There is beauty in all skin tones and ethnicities. I wish the best for you. Remember being respectful is fine but that doesn’t mean you put up with nonsense either. You can only live for you, and that's how you will be happy. I listen to people when I was in my 20s and early 30s, making many mistakes from those advices. Now in my 40s, single again but living my life. I don't date a person for his race, I do it off how the person is overall. I dated Black and Asian, men. This is not going to go so well with black men after reading this. But Asian men treated me with more respect and embraced me more for who I am than the black men. So, live your life for yourself and not for others

I am currently engaged to someone that's outside of my race and and we get a lot of looks that I have noticed and he's just so carefree and unbothered by it so from him I have learned to ignore what other people and just be happy with each other. And those people are just projecting their own insecurities and their beliefs on you because for them it's uncomfortable for them to see someone talking to somebody else outside of their race because they were taught that it was a taboo and you shouldn't do it.

My husband is wht/ American and I'm a blk/American woman. His parents pretended to accept me ,but i did have some small microagressions from them. when his narcissist mother realized I wouldnt be controlled or bullied she disowned my husband. We haven't heard or seen her in almost 13 years. Even though it's sad for my husband he is better off not having the toxic influence in our lives. It's best to have family support and everyone to get along. However if you love your partner that's the thing that matters the most

I have the same perspective as you on this topic, but it's also sad to see that people still think this kind of negative way in the comments (of the video ur talking about) but maybe it's just a lack of open mindedness or ignorance, idk.
To answer some questions you asked in the video,: I myself wouldn't mind a girl coming up to me and making the initial move because I think some guys are just to shy to make the first move but then regret not doing it and cry about it in their bed later :p I also have come across some people that say "you don't have to date this kind of people because..." *blablabla/some stupid prejudices* and then I ask in my head "What is wrong with you, who has hurt you to say such bs?". If you really love someone no matter their culture/religion/looks you wouldn't discriminate and that is what I call real L O V E

There are a lot of Black and Asian people who think the other race wouldn't dare be with them. That is not true. We both have ignorant people who likes to say racist, anti-Asian, and anti-Black things to the other. Not all of us are like that. Then people claim someone is fetishizing as if people of different races cannot find someone outside of their race attractive. Let people date whoever they want. The only time interracial dating is a problem is when someone is bringing down their own race to uplift the race of the person they are dating or fetishizing someone because of their race. The actions of a couple of people does not represent the whole race.

I'm in an interracial marriage coming up 25yrs in December we have a 19yrs child, we are the love of each others life. I found his family welcoming and very nice (I won't use accepting because I never seek acceptance from others) but I'm never relaxed around my mother-in-law I don't know if it's me or her but I always feel like she's interrogating me. We always have a great time but I'm also an introvert so I don't go to a lot of family gatherings. I'm in a happy and healthy relationship because we love each other but I also find that this relationship is the one that gives me the best of everything...so sometimes getting out of our comfort zone and finding common ground outside of one's race can open a whole lot of possibilities on the love front. When love comes trust and believe you'll know it regardless of race!

I am dating someone outside of my race. I date black men too, but my longest and best relationships have been with white men so far, and so for that reason I would never limit myself. I am not a black woman who advocates about dating interracial either, but there are communities on youtube that do, which I lurk on occasionally. It’s a pretty wild corner of the internet.
