    Good review that, you covered everything nicely. It will be interestiing to see what you end up putting on it. I'm not sure it really needs that much though. A quiver would be good of course, and I know you like to have a torch on your crossbows, so I dare say one of those will be fitted soon.

      Thanks Zed, i will get a weaver / picatinny rail for it soon and then decided what to put on it, knowing me everything i can, lol.

    Great review Mike, looks like a decent crossbow great that you can change the string yourself as well.

    • @WeaponCollector

      Thanks Stu, yeah thats a game changer really isn't it, makes this quite a bit more useful now where as before without being able to change the string it wouldn't be.

    Been teetering over whether to get another fma, but the string issue with the fma, couldnt get one, this i like, might have to get it, nice cocking mechanism, instead of the handle

  • @chriskraut2547
    @chriskraut2547 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The cocking mechanism is one of the best features for me. Much easier than any Ive seen. Wonder why larger bows dont have a similar, built-in mechanism.

    • @WhySoSerious551
      @WhySoSerious551 ปีที่แล้ว

      I owned an fma supersonic and i was getting around 30-50 shots before the string gave out. Other than that it was fantastic, but every time i cocked it i knew it could only be pulled so many time, too many moving parts, redback could literally cock and shoot that all day every day for a year without an issue

  • @john9147
    @john9147 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I bet your broadheads would really get great kinetic energy from this platform as well as the fma supersonic. They seem to get their best kinetic output with bolts between 200 to 250 gr.

    hi mate, please tell me what kind of picatinny can fit this bow? I see it has screw holes at differant placements so not sure all picatinny rails will work? much appreicated, Jacob.

    Hello Mike ,
    If you look on the cams from front or rear are they also canted inwards a little bit in the uncocked position ?
    Mine is like that and I wonder if its only mine or generally the drakons.
    Greetings from Germany!

    • @WeaponCollector

      Just had a look mate and yes mine is like that too, so it must be part of the design.

    Hi, How do you rate it to the Adder?

    • @WeaponCollector
      @WeaponCollector  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its hard to say, i like the adder, but i had a few issues with mine and started to think it was dangerous, it depends what you want from a crossbow, i'd say this and the adder are very different crossbows, the drakon is basically one the smallest single shot "full size" compound crossbows you can buy - thats its "selling feature", the Adder is a under lever crossbow with magazine - thats its "selling feature" so it depends what you want, both are really good in there own way and at what they do.

    • @Scout887
      @Scout887 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WeaponCollector what issues do you have exactly with the adder, magazine-related issues ?

    • @WeaponCollector
      @WeaponCollector  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Scout887 All magazine related, bolts not feeding properly, string jumping over the bolt and crushing it and slightly damaging the magazine too.

    • @Scout887
      @Scout887 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WeaponCollector hmm thats what i heard from others too, also the case with magazine pistol crossbows, even tough i read in the forums that newer generations of the stinger models work better. Due to the friction between the bolts and the magazine, the bolts doesn't drop perfectly onto the groove every time i assume. You probably have to test with open magazine and look what exactly is the issue, just repeating the action infront of the arrow backstop till you see what is happening wrong, pinpoint the problem and then you can maybe fix it.

    • @WeaponCollector

    • @opdarager4997
      @opdarager4997 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WeaponCollector it's a annoying how they think about banning things when someone uses them for something illegal it wouldn't even make a difference the guy could have easily had a 3d printed gun and they'd ban 3d printers too or at least talk about banning it like over here in Canada they banded the cobra pistol crossbow without a stock cuz some guy in a 10 story building shot some homeless guy on the streets and he lost almost all of his blood but it wouldn't make a difference if it had a stock or not it makes no sense.

      Even a long kitchen knife can be used as a ' threatening' weapon. With the same logic, it should be banned too eh?
