This song + Bruce driving on his motorcycle in the night = absolute chills
Absolutely. Loved the camera behind the helmet too and the orange tint. Such a perfect song for that scene.
I used to play this song really late at night when driving home from work, idk what it is about this song but it's great
Man.
BEST SCENE EVER
Plus the first look of his cave and he entering that.
I was not expecting this on The Batman. It was amazing.
Yeah, me too man
Perfect usage in the scenes they used it for. SOOO good.
♥️
It was in the trailer, so I did expect it, but yeah, it was perfect for the film.
Being a hard Kurt Cobain fan it was really amazing hearing this song twice in the batman. I got chills lol

Yes we had it good unblemished by a lot. No one would correct you we not speaking properly Karen’s just come as you are. No joke

I love the cello in this song. It's such a small part of the piece, but it adds so much to it. Beautiful and haunting.
... definitely adds the authentic cry to the bit. I wonder what they used in the original recording.

Can we stop to appreciate how much Lori Goldston's cello playing takes this song to just another level. She really was a big part of what made the Unplugged album so special. Her playing is so haunting.
Been saying the same thing for years. The cello adds such a rich sound to this event.
Absolutely
That's the main part of the song that sends chills down my spine honestly. So amazing.
I wonder if she understood at the time, how much of an impact that concert would have.
Wow I honestly never realized how much she meant to this . I was a kid and now I realize it was the cello that made me feel those emotions. Great comment just flipped my world upside down.
It's like Kurt didn't even realize how much of a big deal he was. Even today he's one of the biggest Rockstars ever
He did and he hated it so he acted like he wasnt
@@eggbock9704 which made him even bigger
He had a depression. Which is difficult enough without being on the forefront. So ofc he hated all the attention, he couldnt cope with it.
@@Thomas-cr2pt Pretty much this. I think he expected attention, just not that much, and as someone who also has depression, you don't always want that attention. There's attention and expectations and sometimes they both such big time. I'm really sad he couldn't get the professional help he needed.
The greatest artist all have something in common: the dark side controlling them. Depression, abuse, addiction and so on...they just performed to survive

You DEFINITELY have to appreciate Dave’s style of “quiet drumming” during this whole unplugged set.
He was definitely struggling to hold back haha
Apparently Kurt kept telling him to be quieter during rehearsal
Omg. Somebody's feeling important! Lmfao
He's using a special type of drumsticks designed to be much quieter.
It's a brush technique. The drummer is there for tempo in the design of a "final product" . If you were to just "jam out" , it wouldn't create the right affect/intimacy with whoever is observing it; in an attempt to put it simply. Peace

More than a lyricist, a poet. More than a musician, more than a singer, every note is a sensation. More than songs, art.
The cello with Kurt's voice is so damn beautiful. This has always been one of my favorite songs... glad that Batman movie gave a new generation an appreciation of Nirvana.
Right that cello coupled with Kurts voice just vibrates tears out of me

Truth is, he was a soul in despair, and he ended his life tragically, how you can expect his soul to rest in peace?
And I can't imagine from a religious pov, he also s not resting in peace.
We tell ourselves that in hopes of finding some sort of comfort but it's not always the reality. I'd wish he, as I do hope my idols such as Tupac is also resting in peace, but who knows, truth be told we'll never know the answer till we die.

The girl on the cello and the back up guitarist, gifted to be apart of one the greatest performances ever. The people who saw that whole set live = blessed.
‘The back up guitarist’ is Pat Smear a part of Nirvana already playing in multiple live performances and already an established name in the underground scene before joining Nirvana. He’s also the reason they ended up covering the man who sold the world which has been monumental for the history of this live set.
It is a damn shame the best artists/ songs come from such a dark place that we lose them. We love these artists and some of their best work comes from them pouring their souls and demons into their work but if only we could help them before it’s too late

Made me so happy to share this song with my children while watching the new Batman. Since I was a teen when this first came out, I've always loved it.. It always spoke to me. @49bars don't take anything to seriously these days, and don't think too hard about things that will be important later on in life there is a time and a place for everything but make the more mature decisions if you're capable of it, An if you take advantage of the fact you can already see and accept that the world's a lot darker of a place than what it's painted out to be maybe it won't hit you all at once and leave you with all these questions if you just prepare yourself for the truth. And I don't really know how to help you specifically cause I don't know what you're going through exactly but everyone has problems if someone said they don't there lying or just too naive or young to see it. Just take things one step at a time you'll be fine bro 👍

oh, believe me... Every one of us who had the priviledge of seeing Nirvana live KNEW how lucky we were. Kurt was already a legend when we were young.
I wasn't at the Unplugged show, but I did get to see them in concert and to this day it remains one of the most amazing performances I ever seen.
What if they did? :p
Oh trust me kiddo!! They knew !! Was one of them at the time.

Nothing like the 90s acoustic gigs, my aunt used to play in coffee shops and watching these feels like my childhood. Love Kurt, love Krist, love Dave. ❤
This nirvana mtv unplugged show looks and sounds so magical it’s unexplainable
Things like this happen before people die sometimes. This happened in november and he died in april 1994
His vocals sound so tortured, its beautiful.
And don't forget about Layne Staley from Alice In Chains.

Nutshell unplugged
I agree his voice speaks to me real and raw nothing compares to him
He was hurting inside you can tell by his music no one knew what was going to happen my cousin did the same thing nobody saw it coming you got certain vibe she was hurting inside just like Kurt
Nirvana and Alice n Chains unplugged changed my life. They poured their souls out on that stage
Dont forget the Pearl Jam
you were blessed to have been there live.
Those were the best with out a doubt
Even though I wasn’t alive in the 1990s, I remember the first time I listened to them and I was obsessed with them. Rip Kurt, We miss you ❤

Its been 27 years today since Kurt died, he has been gone longer than he was alive. I was a senior in high school when this unplugged album was performed. There's a whole lotta nostalgia going on here for me.
Kurt was a chosen one he was gifted theirs no one like him truly special person one thing i noticed about chosen ones is how gifted and talented and different they are
I scream "Nirvana!" when this song started playing on the batman teaser..

@@nour4828 watch the whole concert bruv
same, then i got goosebumps, then i went back and listened to every Nirvana album.
Kurt wrote this when he was homeless and kept adapting it. The song is about a being homeless and under a bridge. It's not autobiographical but kind of is. He's living off rain water or water dripping down, he can't eat the animals around him because he views them as his friends, kurt himself loves turtles and fish but is telling himself it's okay to eat the fish you catch to survive. He's doing whatever is needed to survive even though it's destroying all of who he is like eating fish. His tarp or rain cover is all screwed up, he's trying to get out the situation but he just can't because something is wrong with him. He's stuck and self aware. That's the something in the way.
I thought it came out that him living under a bridge was only a rumor. ( other than him maybe running away for a night or 2 & staying under a bridge).
P
yea it was a fantasy do your research he was never homeless
The whole living under a bridge is just an

Ya think 💔his music actually HEALED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF US💔with broken hearts and broken wings
There’s no unplugged anymore, because the artists now cannot sing without autotune in live
💯%!!!
Nah it's because they're all so amped up trying to do more music and they're missing that underlying truth of feeling
Everything was plugged in on this show man hahahaha
True Genius! He was a master of subtilty and he seemed to have very little ego! the 90's was the freest decade. No phones taking video's, or people posting on social media. Everyone is fully engaged and will always remember this gig. I still remember every word of every song. It seems he had a beautiful soul and what he achieved by the age of 27. Truly amazing! I am sure he has reincarnated somewhere on mother earth

Legends die, but their music lives and carries on. Touches many few and far. Rest In Peace dear Kurt.
Legends never die.
The harmony between the music and video is just flawless!
Kurt grinding his teeth with anxiety in this one. He was beside himself nervous this whole gig. Yet he did just great. Shows how anxiety is a liar.
that is cocaine.
yeah it's not his nerves he's geeked up on powder or rock candy doesn't matter coke herion man was a rare talent like layne cornell wieland rip all the rockers we have lost
If you've watched a lot of Nirvana vids, which you clearly haven't, it's easy to see that Kurt is nervous as fuck this whole gig. He's not normally like this, and it's because he's on MTV and was feeling the pressure. Drug addicts are allowed to have feelings, not everything they do is drug-related. But yes, I agree, a rare talent, and it's very sad about all the rest of them, too.
I read some interviews with some of the producers of Unplugged, and they said that Kurt actually was having problems that day because he hadn’t had any in a while. They were told he might not be able to get through the show, so they might have to score some _heroin_ for him. The producer who did the interview said he was freaked out about that and didn’t even know where to get some. However, someone who worked there gave Kurt some Valium, and that’s how he got through the show.
That’s so sad.
Yeah that’s him jonesin pretty good
The amount of times I've cried to this song I don't even want to know. Kurt's voice is the only thing that calms down my anxiety, even if it's just for a moment. Whenever I feel down I put this song on and I immediately feel less alone. Kurt, wherever you are now: you are deeply missed.
I really feel you
Me too, and now I feel like crying 🤠✌🏽

I always have a Nirvana phase during winter like??
Rowan Melton
Winter is great
@Rowan Melton not for me! I find winter soo enjoyable, the colors of the sky, the hot chocolate, the snow (that I see every 3 years), for me the most depressing season is summer! But Nirvana just got those winter vibes like I barely listen to them in a other time of the year, it's only during winter!!
@@fixyourposture6959 same!
@Rowan Melton idk 😂 it's just a sad season, I think it's because in summer there's a giant burning sun all day since early in the morning to the late evening and for me when the sun is really bright it remind of the end of the day and it doesn't makes me wanna do anything 😣
@Rowan Melton I know that winter is depressing for a lot of people, like right now I'm the only one being joyful and happy 😂 all my friends looks like a group of zombies 😂
