    Hello. Thanks for the video. What size is the belt please?

    Hi, Thanks for this video. I have the rock santa collectibles where all screws are located at the back. It's issue is it only rocks on the left but not left and right. I noticed that the motor is only moving in one direction at beat intervals. How does your santa's motor turn? Should the motor be turning alternately clockwise/counter clockwise to move santa's hips in rocking motion? Thanks.

      @gemmymasteranimatronics768  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These santas are programmed to move there hips both left and right, it's not like the gemmy santas where it's a spinning nob that's connected to a lever that moves the hips. It sounds like you have a blow component on the board. I recently got a rock a long santa with that issue.

    If it isn't too much trouble, can you provide a link for the rubber belts?

    • @IDogFan41

      lakewi44 You can find them at Ace Hardware or Lowe’s. Just make sure you get the size you think is appropriate for your item.

      At ACE HARDWARE I found and used #32 “O” RING. I tried using #33, one size bigger but it was still to loose to make full movement happen. Had to look in plumbing supplies for the “O” RING.

    Hey Joe thanks for getting back to me would you know anyone who would be able to fix the motor or help me troubleshoot it

    • @gemmymasteranimatronics768
      @gemmymasteranimatronics768  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I mean you can't really fix a motor that's dead, you'd have to find a replacement, but idk where you could find a size like this. There's always tons of jingle bell rock santas on eBay though, it would be easier to get a new one. These type of santas typically don't give out that much considering I've had mine for years and have been used a lot and they still all work.

    What size rubber belt is needed?

  • @cometkuma
    @cometkuma 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm having an issue with mine. I went to go replace the belt because he was dancing kinda funky and not swinging all the way to one side and his belt looked fine, so I put him back together and he wouldn't dance anymore. I double checked to make sure everything was in place.
    I put a new, slightly smaller belt in and he'd move, but only a tiny bit. Could his motor be dying?

    • @gemmymasteranimatronics768
      @gemmymasteranimatronics768  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you know where I can buy the power cord for my Rock a Long Santa? The box says I need an AC ADAPTER specification required: DC 5V 500mA.

    Hello! So I think a belt might be my issue on the two I’ve bought from eBay, since they don’t move at all, but I can hear the motor running. Mine don’t have any visible screws on the front though, just a spot that looks like a plastic cap over a screw. Trying to pry it up just scrapes across it though. Any advice?

    hi Joe I have a Jingle bell rock dancing Santa
    created by Christmas Fantasy LTD. 1998 - he does not dance anymore and when I opened him up I did not see any rubber belt. Also I do not hear the motor trying to run. Some questions: 1. Does this model use a rubber belt? Could it be a circuit board problem at the base? I wouls love to get my Santa fixed he was displayed in the window for all the kids to see and dance with him. Thanks Hitechec

    • @gemmymasteranimatronics768
      @gemmymasteranimatronics768  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure they use a belt, but it sounds like maybe the motor might be bad, and if it's not that then it probably is the board, but I doubt it.

      Hey I have the same model and same santa that you have I just repaired mines here's what you have to do first if you can hear the motor working and the santa doesn't dance then its a really good chance that the rubber band got disconnected or it may have snapped your gunna have to disassemble the first edition santa which is the one we both own first remove or unzip his clothes then you will see a black black base plate by the way i forgot to mention that this should be done on santa's back anyways you will see 4 phillips screws remove all four then remove the backing plate once you removed the backing plate you will see wires and a little circle thing in the back once you see that there will be an additional 3 screws from the back remove those to remove the speaker cover plate on his belly remove plate then at the very bottom in between his crotch you will see white plastic gears remove the gear from the bottom it slides out and there should also be white lithium grease then in the center of his belly you will see a plastic white pulley it really likes like an automotive pulley on engines and inspect if there is a rubber band there if there isn't then look closely and you should see a rubber band which is Black it should be on one of those Plastic Gears if it is broken replace the rubber band if its still in one piece just hook up the belt back onto the pulley and the santa will dance again assembly is pretty obvious good luck let me know if this helps looking forward to hear from you

    • @slimjim8736
      @slimjim8736 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hitechec hitechec Well its really not a belt its just a rubber band And it black and it should be covered in white gooey stuff once you removed Santas Belly plate you will see the speaker Just move the speaker to the side be gentle with it And if you look at the middle of Santas Belly You will see a shape of the circle once you see it you closer and you will see a white plastic Pulley and thats where the motor connects and spins the pulley left to right Like how he dances The to the left or right you will see a Bigger pulley from where the Rubber band is hanging onto just spin the plastic Pulleys or gears with your hands or fingers untill you see the tubber band move after that just conner the rubner band to the The really small white plastic pulley hope this helps

    I have a 2 foot animated Santa from 1986? and he stopped moving. Arms would move in and out and head would tip left & right. His clothes seem to be glued on. I think it's the belt as I can hear the motor working. Just wondering if you had any info on this one. .Vintage 2ft Telco Animated Santa Claus Illuminated Red Bell Christmas Decoration.(search this on you tube to see him. I have photos of it but can't post here.
