Fantastic option for restricted people like me who can only have the spirit of motorcycling inside but not be able to ride one and just dream and watch people enjoy motorcycling from the sidelines due to being differently abled and from that point of view, the 4th wheel really makes a huge world of a difference and I for one really appreciate this innovation. At least the so called Yamaha wasn't able to chalk up something like this. And it really looks amazing and people like us won't have the feeling that we're riding a specially modified vehicle.

alot of people bitched about the Yamaha tricity also but i bought one and i love the bike. my daughter rides with me alot so safty is the first thing i want, i can care less about looks and it handles great. nothing at all wrong with it. try any bike for yourself and make your own decision. never let anyone make a decision for you.
CLARIFICATION: The importer of the Quadro4 told us the machine would be granted exemption from the London congestion charge on a case-by-case basis, in response to individual applications from owners. However, Transport for London today confirmed it is not eligible and neither is the Piaggio MP3 500. A TfL spokesman said: 'Neither of them qualify for a discount as they do not meet the specified requirements, outlined here: tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge/discounts-and-exemptions?intcmp=2133.'

Visordown Motorcycle News Good article. It does seem a little random to give exemption to a Yourban but not to an MP3 LT, especially as a non-LT MP3 has exactly the same body (hence length). It's a stupid anomaly and needs to be changed.
Still wouldn't go back to an MP3 from my Aprilia Mana, exemption or not.
I found It on sale for 5000/6000 euros 2018/2019...less then 7/8000 km ...

I have a Niken, it’s amazing corner carver that is really just taking the piss out of two wheeled motorcycles. The niken carves better than any bike .it’s plusher and especially on the road, with sticky tyres you’re not going to crash...you’re just not.
What it obvious on the niken is the limit of its performance is the single rear wheel.
So the next step too is obvious ...to make 4 wheeled proper performance leaning machines.
Hopefully, like the niken, they still feel like motorbike when riding, but without the fraught - ness of a single front tyre contact patch and with a high traction rear . Be an absolute delight. Mt10 motor, or any kwaka engine...nah these things will come and they will be fast, safer and still tons of fun
I'm still trying to see the benefit. There's only two I can really think of. One, if you're like 80 years old and keeping the bike up while stopped. Two, providing better traction on wet roads. But I personally don't think that the increased traction in poor weather outweighs the lean restriction, which I could see being deadly in certain circumstances. One of the two times I have laid down a bike (or have been laid down) I laid it down deliberately as my front wheel lost traction in a curve. When I did, the bike (and me behind it) bounced off the guard rail and back into the road a few feet. If I HADN'T laid it down, the bike would have hit the guardrail somewhat upright with me on top, who would've been catapulted over the top of the guardrail down a 70 foot cliff.
I find this weird reasoning. The whole point of the extra two wheels on this bike is to get better grip and avoid the situations you mention where you lose grip. You are saying this huge advantage of having more grip in every situation (straight, corners, wind, rain etc) does not outweigh the lean restriction that comes with it because on a 'normal' bike there will be very rare and unlikely situations where you would want to lay down the bike. Which would be even more of a rare occassion on this bike since it has twice the wheels and twice the grip compared to the bike you lost traction with.
@@Autarc88 not twice the grip, grip would be the same, but doubled redundancy which is the real gold. Anyone bitching about this for track use I completely understand but for road use if you're getting bummed you're not getting full lean in the streets, this bike was never meant for you. A coffin on the other hand would fit like a glove 😂😂

Its nice today's riders have so much choice,for my 9th motorcycle I chose a burgman 400 . .and really love it . 78 miles per gal. What's not to love .I am thinking yammaha t max for more power next year cheers
This machines look impressive and should be very stable on roads. The exterior looks solid and strong except that if only the windshield could be higher and broader but most importantly, allowing it to control its up and down height just like the Yamaha FJR and Suzuki Burgman 650 exe.

Je compte acheter un QUADRO 4 dès que ce dernier sera équipé d'une motorisation plus puissante, tel qu'un 500 cm3 développant 60 ch. par exemple.
Je fais quand-même même mes 120 kgs.
Dans ces conditions l'engin serait quasiment parfait.
C'est faisable.

Really nice review. Very clear and concise. A bit more footage of the bike itself would have been better but overall a very enjoyable watch. Great little bike aswell. I don't really like motorbikes or scooters so this could be the way forward for like minded people like me. They price though! Jeeez.... Waaaaay too much money. Nice thing though

I'm a little confused! I watched another video on the quadro and the take was different, apparently the quadro does not need to be stabilised.
No point comparing this bike to a Yamaha TMAX as the TMAX is a bikers bike and this is really a car drivers bike, I have this bike and love it but as a car driver I can't even think about riding a TMAX.

I can see the point of this assuming you can still filter. Which according to the video you can.
In wet, icy, oily conditions this is much more likely to stay upright as compared to a 2 wheeler. If you got your car licence before 2013 yet another reason.

You can't get exemption from the congestion charge on a Piaggio MP3 LT 500 as it's too long ( by a couple of inches). You used to be able to get exemption on an individual basis but TfL stopped granting it ages ago. The Quadro4 is 3cm longer. I think the importers are trying to pull a fast one here.
As for the congestion zone cameras only photographing rear number plates - wrong. Used to be true but no longer. I got rid of my MP3 as I was forever getting charged in the zone.

Motorbiker Ok found it. The limit is 2m long and 1m wide.
You used to be able to send a photo of your MP3 and they'd exempt it - the forums suggested photographing it in a motorcycle bay alongside other bikes, so they could see it was no bigger than a bike. However, when I applied, they replied quoting the length of the MP3, so they're obviously on to it now. Totally unfair, but there it is.
Looks like Yamaha Tricity is the only 3 wheeler thats exempt from congeston charge then

why did they put a brake peddle on it? cant see the point? any ideas?
they did it so you could ride it on just a car licence and that's why they also put the front wheels so far apart
I think the manufacturer should away with the foot brake for it occupies a little space. It somehow blocks the right foot and this causes a little uncomfortable if riding for probably more than an hour. Let the brakes for the front and rear to be controlled from the handler just like all other scooters so that the floor board could make rooms for both legs to rest with comfort and ease.

I will also show you the scars on my nut sack. Have you tried eating catfood? It's somewhat objectionable to begin with but once you get used to the taste the savings are colossal. Obviously this is not a motorbike and should not be considered one, and no doubt motorbike riders would never consider buying one before the age of eighty. But having said that it is a practical alternative to a small car in big congested cities for those who are brave but just not brave enough for two wheels, or even three.

it's relative, it's very light for the amount of tyre contact patch and in theory should corner considerably faster than a bike can.
