Idk why senior actors look down upon auditions. It's not a character or calibre judgment is project and character amalgamation. Why don't we write tests, certifications and interviews for 35 years of job. With all due respect every body needs to change with changing times. Change is good rigidity is not.
Star kids don't give auditions too just normal actors without film background do who don't have the privilege.. Kareena Kapoor gave first time audition in lal singh chadha and she agreed to do it as it is amir khan movie.. So when star kids don't give auditions so it's not really great to ask actors who have 20 30 yrs of experience already.. Look test is different but auditions should be customized for senior actors.. There have been instances where in tv too lead actors have got privileges above senior actors who have been around the industry since long... So if with time change should be accepted then old reputed actors should also be treated equals like the lead ones which doesn't happen too often.. Tv & movie industry works different and whatever is on camera doesn't mean everything works like that..one needs to be part of it to understand and it's easier judging without knowing the actual process..Every story has 2 sides.
