I started wearing Shalimar when I was very young and now I am on the very elderly side and still love it. I really enjoyed listening to you with your wonderful French voice. I love the way you told me all about the ingredients and why I so love my Shalimar. Thank you very much. MJMoore
I'm a 57 year old guy who just got into Scent collecting. I bought this for my 80 year old mom for Mother's Day as a surprise gift for her. When we were kids she was such a beauty and had to fight off the men lololol I used to sit and watch her get dressed for a night on the town and she was the most beautiful woman in the world to my 13 year old eyes... Now she is old and fragile and she never goes anywhere. But I got her this gift to remind her of her glorious days of her youth and beauty. This is my gift from a loving son to his beautiful loving mom. She was soooo happy when I gave her this gift ❤❤❤❤
I love it in all variation all formulation and all concentration. It's often mentioned together with Chanel no 5 although they are very different. Shalimar so unique and classy. If I could only have two bottles of perfume for the rest of my life one would be Shalimar. Merci Alice.
I admire your PASSION for perfume. It inspires me in that I want to ponder the intricacies of fragrances I own, which you've reviewed.. BRAVA! Subscribed😊
I had a friend give me an older bottle of Shalimar and it smells even better than my brand new bottle. As a lighter skinned and light eyes, I think letting Shalimar rest a little bit works best with my body chemistry. It is such a beautiful fragrance that has such an elegant and feminine scent. I think I will use my rise soap and a citrus fruit lotion then Shalimar as to adjust it to fit my skin and chemistry. I'll play with my own levels to aquire my own version.
Hello ! Yes I love the guerlinade and balsamic vanilla balm of Shalimar. This Iris is very balsamic and creamy in this perfume… different compared to l’heure bleue. I am going to review very big vintage perfumes in September among them the legendary Blonde by Versace or Senso by Ungaro… I like femme by Rochas during the autumn. I like to wear spicy perfume during this time! I do not know Mystère and Lumière by Rochas but I have already an eye on a small decant on EBay. I am also interested by Caroline Herrera perfumes…
I must admit I love girls in perfumes over the years I wore many from samsara organza and Amerige , I tried shalimar once and I must say it’s a bit too mature for me I prefer the others from givenchy 😀
I love Organza! It's my mother perfume and I really like this one. If you like Organza try L'Or by Torrente... same family. It's a sweet opulent oriental with coffee and rose.
Did you realize that the bottle on the caption is the Philtre de parfum flanker? When you mentioned the EDT, were you talking about the Philtre? It sounded like you did. Philtre is my favorite because it’s so airy and light and modern. Even the EDT is just too animalic for me and not so fresh. But who knows, I might change my opinion. I keep trying the EDT and EDP. BTW when you say heart ❤️ it sounds like hurt. Not sure if you’re aware of that. It’s your charm of course the French pronunciation but sometimes I wonder if you wouldn’t prefer to know about certain words. Like leather. By now I know what you mean, but the first time I heard you say that, I was wondering why a perfume would smell like a lizard🦎 😊
Hello Natalie no I didn’t realize it was the philtre and I only talk about the EDP in my review. I would be curious to compare with the philtre. I suppose the philtre would be more airy and vaporous. Thank you for correcting my accent.

The Holy Grail, Greatest fragrance ever created. Hands down, nothing compares.
I haven’t worn Shalimar since the 1990s but it’s always been one of my favorites. You have me intrigued to go buy a bottle for funsies😀

@@Aliceinparisofficial lovely I will 😀 thank you 🙏
I love Iris and periwinkle perfume it's my favorite scent for a perfume.
So you love Guerlain perfumes! There is Iris in every single Guerlain perfume I am guessing. It is really the Guerlain signature
My mom wears this perfume. I remember loving it when I was little and getting into it 😂
I love it but i think i need to train my nose! It makes me headachey after one single sniff
"Shalimar is the Frenchest Oriental perfume" Yeah, that's the most accurate way I could think to describe it as well. A true classic. 🥰
Shalimar is soft, delicate, far from the average oriental perfume. not musky or ambery...something very French in the smell
