I bought clear plastic shoe boxes and have all my shoes on an open shelf 3 high, and my handbags on another open shelf stood up side by side. Hi Jean, we do, I can’t tell you the last time I opened that t shirt drawer to take something out, but I will now it’s been decluttered. Your shelving sounds like a fab idea, I may have to ask Harvey to put me some up. If I lived in Buckingham palace I would fill it haha ❤️❤️
Lynn, the shelving is inside the wardrobes, above the hanging rails. I have 3 bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, and they were all full, until I did my declutter at the end of last year. Still buying though, what am I doing😂😂
Well done Lynn, you've done really well. I keep everything in sections of colour as it's easy to forget what you have. Long sleeve blouses in colour together and then short sleeve. Hope you are well 🙏. Keep doing a great job, love watching you xx

Having a right giggle at this Lynn … I’m in the process of doing the same post winter .. just back from my hols in Tenerife so winter clothes all stored away in IKEA zip bags in my ottoman bed till Autumn …. now starting a serious declutter and sort out ... Would love to know how do you remember where everything is? …I was getting stressed worrying about how you keep track of what you had 🤣 especially all those vest tops 😟.. ( my own vest top/cami collection will now be seriously culled ..TODAY) ..but I do enjoy going on these journeys with you Lynn as You don’t take yourself too seriously ! Always true to yourself 👍🏼
I could do with an ottoman bed for more storage Margaret, my friends just bought one. It’s easy, they all have their own space, dresses on one rail, blouses on another, pants all together, jumpers etc etc. I know where they all are lol. That was a good session ! I keep my shoes in plastic or ikea shoe boxes stacked up on the shelf in my very large built in wardrobe. But I only keep summer OR winter shoes there. I have floor space under a big chest of drawers & keep the current season (just swapped to summer) there. Easy to select. Winter ones are away. Have to manage 50+ prs somehow! Handbags are in 2 large boxes with lids u der bed. Summer in one & winter in other. Easy to slide out & select. I just love that large square earring box you have in that top drawer Do you have a link for it pls?. I make jewellery so have thousands of sets & ALWAYS looking for a good way to store/access them. Tnx

Loving the de-clutter Lynn, but have you thought about folding and rolling you items and then stacking them in your drawers? A friend gave me the Marie Kondi book a few years ago and I just can’t not do this now. Once you’re in the habit of folding and rolling it’s so good as it creates even more space and you can see at an instant what you have instead if having to look through a pile in your drawers. Underwear, socks, tops etc, it works for everything. Shoes - I have mine stacked 2 high on a shelf in clear plastic shoe boxes. You can colour co-ordinate and see at an instant what you need. I have my smaller bags in them too. Hope this helps 😊
I have Susan, but I only got as far as my jeans and leggings, prior to the declutter. I’ve watched Chinese people folding clothes etc on Facebook, and I was mesmerised. I’ve ordered some things, waiting for them to arrive, and see if they work, thank you very much for the fabulous ideas ❤️❤️❤️
It makes you wonder how many clothes we have & why 🤔, can’t possibly wear all those clothes , I tend to throw away , at the end of summer , and beginning of winter . & decide if I have worn them at all . I don’t buy as much now as I used too . 😂😘
It’s my guilty pleasure I suppose, I don’t spend on much else, and so now that I’m retired, other than my TH-cam, I enjoy myself. I do wear quite a lot of them to be honest, maybe the dresses not so much, but I’ll try and wear them more often if the sun would just come out once in a while lol 😂❤️🌹❤️

Great video. I bought shoe boxes in a clear plastic from Lakeland and they stack up. I think Amazon do them as well and probably Temu as well. I have a problem with handbags as well so will be reading comments for ideas. 🤔♥️☕

I did this,then I went back to the trunk. & was pleased i did,as i decided to keep 2 pretty tops,& donate the rest to a charity shop.❤

I keep my handbags in my wardrobe in a bag storage pocket thing it’s clear so can see what bags are in it my shoes are in boxes on top of my wardrobe but don’t know what else to do with them 😂 so will be checking back for ideas. My t shirts, pjs etc I have folded in Marie Kondo style so it’s much easier to find what I’m looking for and have them in colours it’s like a filing system for clothes 😂 and also leaves so much more room. I love watching you tube videos for storage ideas and Pinterest too. Your videos are so good and so interesting and you always bring a smile to my face so thank you lovely. I have done two large bags for charity. I now have no cleavage, so low tee shirts and low front dresses have to go and all my swimsuits. I can’t face reconstruction at my age. I am not sad, onwards and upwards, no looking back, I am still here and that’s all that matters. I got a prosthetic breast and I wear M&S post surgery bras, which are all padded and make you look busty, so some dresses and blouses don’t do up and had to go.

Lynn, ... I have heard of people stacking their shoeboxes and taping a photo of the shoes on the outside of each box ... that way you can see at a glance where the ones you want are.

I put my sandals away at the end of summer and bring out filled in shoes boots etc and swap around when I need them. All good fun. Which I keep my boots shoes and hand bags in them and I have a shoe rack which I use to alternate spring summer autumn / winter and so then I see them all on the shoe rack for the season that how I do it and the otomins are handy as you can put them together as seating area and you know exactly where everything is.always great to see you sending lots of love 😊♥️♥️♥️xxx

It makes you wonder how many clothes we have & why 🤔, can’t possibly wear all those clothes , I tend to throw away , at the end of summer , and beginning of winter . & decide if I have worn them at all . I don’t buy as much now as I used too . 😂😘
It’s my guilty pleasure I suppose, I don’t spend on much else, and so now that I’m retired, other than my TH-cam, I enjoy myself. I do wear quite a lot of them to be honest, maybe the dresses not so much, but I’ll try and wear them more often if the sun would just come out once in a while lol 😂❤️🌹❤️

Great video. I bought shoe boxes in a clear plastic from Lakeland and they stack up. I think Amazon do them as well and probably Temu as well. I have a problem with handbags as well so will be reading comments for ideas. 🤔♥️☕
Some people have said they display their handbags on shelves like decor. I think it’s a lovely idea. ❤️
Hi. Lynn, a great decluttering vlog, ready for getting new items.Have you thought to get a trunk & and put your clothes in their incase your not shore if you want to get rid of some clothes. I did this,then I went back to the trunk. & was pleased i did,as i decided to keep 2 pretty tops,& donate the rest to a charity shop.❤
Well that’s a good idea Christine, but if I don’t get rid of them right away, I’d bet your bottom dollar that I would take them all out of that trunk and put them back hahaha 🤣🌹❤️🌹
I have a clear out to clothes bank and an ruthless if I’ve not worn things for ages but then end up buying new bits as just love clothes even as retired !! 😂

Hi Lynn. Another great video. You have so many lovely clothes but well done decluttering loads. I keep my handbags in my wardrobe in a bag storage pocket thing it’s clear so can see what bags are in it my shoes are in boxes on top of my wardrobe but don’t know what else to do with them 😂 so will be checking back for ideas. My t shirts, pjs etc I have folded in Marie Kondo style so it’s much easier to find what I’m looking for and have them in colours it’s like a filing system for clothes 😂 and also leaves so much more room. I love watching you tube videos for storage ideas and Pinterest too. Your videos are so good and so interesting and you always bring a smile to my face so thank you lovely. I have done two large bags for charity. I now have no cleavage, so low tee shirts and low front dresses have to go and all my swimsuits. I can’t face reconstruction at my age. I am not sad, onwards and upwards, no looking back, I am still here and that’s all that matters. I got a prosthetic breast and I wear M&S post surgery bras, which are all padded and make you look busty, so some dresses and blouses don’t do up and had to go.

Lynn, ... I have heard of people stacking their shoeboxes and taping a photo of the shoes on the outside of each box ... that way you can see at a glance where the ones you want are.

I put my sandals away at the end of summer and bring out filled in shoes boots etc and swap around when I need them. All good fun. Which I keep my boots shoes and hand bags in them and I have a shoe rack which I use to alternate spring summer autumn / winter and so then I see them all on the shoe rack for the season that how I do it and the otomins are handy as you can put them together as seating area and you know exactly where everything is.always great to see you sending lots of love 😊♥️♥️♥️xxx
