  • I designed this crochet heart hat to celebrate Valentine's Day, but I honestly would wear it year round. It has such a gorgeous texture and is fun to make! The post work is a bit tricky, so I wouldn't recommend this for absolute beginners, but if you have some experience under your belt, you could totally tackle this is a couple of hours.
    The written pattern has the instructions for an adult size (as shown in the video here), as well as a child size 3-10 yrs, and an infant size 6-12 mos. If you would like a printable pdf version of this pattern, you can find it for relatively little cost in my pattern shops.
    For Etsy, see: dayscrochetnc....
    For Ravelry, see: www.ravelry.co...
    Supplies Needed:
    Approx. 200-220 yds. of Color A (band & body), and 130-150 yds. of Color B (heart accent) in any size 4 ww yarn
    5.5 mm and 5.0 mm hooks , or sizes needed to obtain gauge
    Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
    Embellishments of your choice
    Gauge:
    With 5.5 mm hook and regular worsted weight yarn, 6 rows and 12 dc = 3.5 inches or 9 cm. Gauge is very important for this pattern.
    Finished Measurements:
    Designed to fit the average adult head, approx. 21-23 inches in circumference, 9 inches in length

    For the gauge I got 3.5 for 12 dc but for 6 rows it's barely 3 inches what should I do? Should I go up a hook? Or did I check wrong?;

    • @DaysCrochet
      @DaysCrochet  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@yulisa9863 it probably means my stitches are taller just bc I crochet differently. So what I would suggest is to keep your hook size, but since your rows are shorter than mine, you will have to add length to your hat. I mentioned this around row 15 in the video. You will probably need to add a round or two of the repeating round at that point before moving on to the decreasing rounds. A few of my testers had the same issue. I think the majority of them just added a repeating round and it worked out perfectly😁
