Crochet Heart Hat ~ Great for Valentine's Day!

- I designed this crochet heart hat to celebrate Valentine's Day, but I honestly would wear it year round. It has such a gorgeous texture and is fun to make! The post work is a bit tricky, so I wouldn't recommend this for absolute beginners, but if you have some experience under your belt, you could totally tackle this is a couple of hours.
The written pattern has the instructions for an adult size (as shown in the video here), as well as a child size 3-10 yrs, and an infant size 6-12 mos. If you would like a printable pdf version of this pattern, you can find it for relatively little cost in my pattern shops.

So adorable!! ❤. Thanks you for your tutorial! You always do a great job! I recently checked to see if you had any new patterns. They are always so terrific. By the way, I made four of the door knob towel holders last night.
I’m so glad you enjoy my patterns! Thanks for letting me know you made the door knob towel holders - I love hearing what you’re making!
Hi Dana! so beautiful.. I will surely be making this. I always love your tutorials, such a wonderful instructor. Hope all is going well for you up there in Western NC🙏
@@justdi3347 thank you dear🩷 It's going ok, all things considered. It still looks like a war zone up here and the roads have been considerably more dangerous with salt quickly deteriorating them further. I am ready for warmer weather 😣
@ Dana, so disturbing the lack of help up there (other than the kind people who donate time and whatever else they can). Lord will something better will be done soon.
@ we are hoping so too🙏🏻
This is sooooo beautiful! You are so good at this! I love this adorable beanie. I’m just a beginner, but I’m going to try to make one for my grand baby.

Could you share the yarn brand and colors please I love this combo and want to recreate
@@emilyjunk1261 which combo? The colors I use in the thumbnail? The demo hats at the beginning where I show Mommy & Me sizes? Or the colors I use to actually do the tutorial?😅
@@DaysCrochetthe colors in the thumbnail the pink and white. Just bought the pattern on ravlerly and I’m working it with some Malabrigo because I couldn’t wait lol
@@emilyjunk1261 oh, I believe I listed the colors next to each photo in the pattern. Please let me know if I didn't. Anyhow the thumbnail hat is Hobby Lobby's ILTY in the color Linen and Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek in the color Mauve.
The other hat is Hobby Lobby's ILTY in the colors White and Hot Rose. I hope this helps!❤️
@@DaysCrochetthank you!
Did you used the smaller hook for the brim of the hat? Or the whole hat with the 5.5m?
@@yulisa9863 whole hat 5.5 mm, or whatever size you need to use to meet the gauge I have listed in the description box
@DaysCrochet i read the description box. Sorry I must have not understood. I thought it meant we needed one for one part of the hat and another for the other part. Thank you for replying. I'm working on this beautiful hat right now.
@ ahh ok I see where the confusion came from. In the written instructions, I do tell you yo use a smaller hook, but only for the infant size. I apologize for the confusion. I will remove that other hook from the supply list when I get a minute. Thanks for letting me know!
@@DaysCrochet thank you 😊
Where do you get your faux fur pom pom?
@@dixiemontgonery131 Amazon! It's a variety pack. I will try to find a link for you later. Currently cooking supper lol
For the gauge I got 3.5 for 12 dc but for 6 rows it's barely 3 inches what should I do? Should I go up a hook? Or did I check wrong?;
@@yulisa9863 it probably means my stitches are taller just bc I crochet differently. So what I would suggest is to keep your hook size, but since your rows are shorter than mine, you will have to add length to your hat. I mentioned this around row 15 in the video. You will probably need to add a round or two of the repeating round at that point before moving on to the decreasing rounds. A few of my testers had the same issue. I think the majority of them just added a repeating round and it worked out perfectly😁
@DaysCrochet thank you 😊
@ no problem! Good luck 🩷
What size is the one you are doing?
