Hola!!otro heroe haciendo videos sobre nuestras joyas w124!!!esta tarde montare un rele como el suyo!!!mi coche lleva un año con el ralenti bajo cuando arrabco en ocasiones,ultimamente es mas constante el fallo hasta que el otro dia me se me paro el coche y solo una vez mas pude arrancarlo mientras un amigo movia ese rele y lo golpeba con un destornillador....y de nuevo se paro hasta hoy ...acavo de recivir la pieza en este justo instante.me alivia ver su video ya que la mayoria de videos sobre el rele de sobretension dicen que tambien se ilumina la luz abs,algo que en mi caso no ocurre.un saludo desde el pais vasco y muchisimas gracias.

Second time i try and no luck but tachometer was rasing from 5 to about 40 whail i tryaing to start. Coulf OVP solvd the problem?? Thanx😀😀 Its MB w201 2.0 diesel
Hi, I have the same problem with my W124 300D when I start engine.... trigger ABS light and tachometer not working and engine has low engine speed....But sometimes randomly ...ABS light off and tachometer works and engine goes smoothly...just sometimes....So OVP realy solved this problem???

if you change the fuse in that OVP relay is there chance it will fix the glow plug not functioning ? cuase for me sometimes glow plugs work sometimes not
With a multimeter test the ohms of each glow plugs. The wiring and plug of is attached to a relay a little hidden next to the windshield water reservoir and behind the abs (OM606 na)

You can also fix Ovp relays. Take it apart and resolder all the little solder spots. Worked for me

Ovp relay is bad. Same thing this guy is replacing. Or sensor on the bottom of the transmission

Cecho193 yes this should fix that, make sure you get the new style relay with 2 fuses

the one with 2 fuses is the newer style and recommended
My W124 has the different engine, it's 1988 model, the part number OPR is 201-540-08-45, can it work with the new? ...

1998 models don’t have one I believe
So how well was the car running with a bad OVP?
Mike M not well at all, it would frequently idle very low almost to the point of stalling. also the tachometer would not work.
