Their actions and clear intentions should be criminal. Endangering a minor or reckless endangerment I presume already exists in law there? They should be charged and sentenced with extreme prejudice--particularly since some of them are supposedly legit lawyers. License to practice should be stripped, naturally.

Sexual assault and dismissal of victims is abhorrent, whether the perpetrator is a Democratic or Republican nominee. What is clear from this strand though, is that people seem willing to forget Brett Kavanaugh's behaviour, his lying under oath, his team's pressuring and threatening of his victims. None of this is OK. But claiming to care about victims is kind of hollow if you only care about the victims of supporters of one political party.

Instead of attempting to demonstrate that the school did everything reasonable to protect a child in its care, he decided to go after the victim - a child. Is this the sort of behaviour that should be rewarded? Rejecting his appointment on this basis sends a clear message to the legal community and may give others cause to think.

How about that guy who left early in the TA for $$$$$ and airline expenses?

And this is different to Republican nominees how??

@@flatplatypus As a republican I would say not a damned bit. They both pick nominees and vote on them based on hopeful that they lean their party way. People say oh no, oh no, and then when the Supreme Court does not vote that way what do they first say - Oh he was nominated by a republican/democratic president so that is why he voted the way he did. People do not have to be intelligent in their observations just need a little common sense. Think a bit. Oh you probably want hear from Chuck.

And if it doesn't bend the way they like, they just lie. If they get caught in their lies they claim they "mis-spoke" or were taken out of context.

A lawyer representing a client is what everyone should have. A lawyer using intimidation and smearing a victim and then claiming they were just representing a client is evil.
