One reason Satan makes his deceptive appearance as Christ AFTER probation closes is that he infers that is closed cut cannot be certain! "He sees that holy angels are guarding them, and he that their sins have been pardoned; but he does not know that their cases have been decided in the sanctuary above." GC 612

EGW says that satans counterfeit coming is the crowning act in the drama. the mark of the beast is the last act of the drama. the mark of the beast is after satans counterfeit coming. the mark of the beast is before the close of probation.
Yes, that is absolutely correct! Pastor Bohr skipped the quotes from chapter 36, the Impending Conflict, pages 589 to 591. Why he would do that and skip over a multitude of her other quotes is really baffling. And it's very important because those who believe his theories will think that probation has already closed at the time of the stately fair person and then think that they are lost and go into panic mode, survival mode, and not give the 3 angel's messages precisely at that crucial time. This is very disappointing and disheartening to me, knowing how meticulously he has explained prophetic events in their proper sequence for so long. 😪
@@randyfoon3165 I previously tended to agree that the great impersonation will occur before COP, because I too misapplied EGW's statements on the pages of the GC that you cited. However, having re-read them, it became clear to me that her statements such as, ". . . Satan appears . . ." do not mean the impersonation, but mean how those who have rejected Jesus will view the miracles Satan's agents will perform. In other words, "Satan appears" is not his literal impersonation of Jesus but how he appears in the minds of the lost - they perceive him to be humanity's benefactor.
Having sat on the fence on this, I am now much more inclined to agree with Pastor Bohr. A key statement by EGW occurs on page 625 2nd para of the GC which shows that, when Satan himself impersonates Jesus, it will be to pronounce a blessing on those who worship the beast and His image but only the people of God will not be misled. That EGW calls the impersonation the ". . . great, almost overmastering delusion . . ." (end of page 624) confirms to me that, at the events on page 625 2nd para, God has already sealed His people.
As obvious as the deception of the great impersonation seems when read about, my recent life experience tells me that mind-control programmes (damaging the frontal lobe and disrupting neural connections with sophisticated technology only Satan can inspire humans to concoct) will be used heavily against the worshippers of Jesus to tear from their minds their settlement in God's Word and their previous experiences of His Spirit. These are terribly highly effective programmes that have been in operation for some years now and will certainly be perfected by that time. And this is not a difficult feat so I am thankful that, because of what true believers had previously committed to Jesus, He will write His name in our frontal lobes and seal It there.
None of us should dare think our resoluteness will enable us to stand without quivering in that time because Satan will be permitted to thoroughly shake us and he is more than capable to shred the most loyal of us. Isaiah 24:15,16 readily come to mind. If we submit well under our trials now, perhaps, we will be able to glorify God in the fires of that unimaginably terrible time as opposed to lamenting the wicked doings of the treacherous dealers.
@@user-hf1ys4rr5h Ellen White uses repeat and enlarge frequently which doesn't fix it after probation. Many will go onto survival mode because of this teaching and not give the loud cry message because they will see no point in it, believing probation has closed. 🤷
