Its laughable how much money vendors think they can get at Flea Markets, Ebay really killed the fun of going to them. The days of finding hidden gems cheap are gone :(
No offense but I have seen Ghostjerker get die-cast cars for cheap compared to our second hand or retro toy store here. Nascar in package here can run you $10.00-30.00 per car. The higher end for the Nascar "sets" that come with the rolling Tool boxes. The 6 for $5.00 Matchbox and Hot Wheels they find, we can't get either for under $3.00-$10.00 each. Sorry but I disagree at least in our area. Scalpers here are insane and outnumber collectors 20-1. So they basically run the die-cast world here, and it is hard for us collectors to even find any retailers with die-cast.
I've Spent 50 bucks and traded some junk just sitting in my garage this month and have about 450 Hot Wheels. 66 of them are Monster Trucks and found one red line. Got some Lesneys, Tootsie toys , Johnny Lightnings and about 10 Monster Machines and on JD McDuffy like yours. . Found about 10 1977 down to 1975 HW's. Now I'm trying to sort them all out and decide what I'm keeping. My 20 month old daughter has taken a liking to a bunch of them.
Forgot to add..along with the HW trade...I am now the owner of 150 45rpm records of music I've never heard. Now I need to learn to clean vinyl n get a record player
Nothing puts a smile 😃 on my face like watching you and your Family doing a Diecast Picking Day and a show & tell in the Racing shed 😁😎👍 Thank you so much for the years of content 👏🙏
The tiny pullback is a Tata Nano, the world's cheapest new car, made in India. Cool haul, those two whitewall cars are epic, the white one is a Talbot Lago 👍
Those little blind bag halo figures are so fun. You have to put em together yourself out the bag and that's honestly part of the fun too. Always love those surprise picks of yours when they come along.
Oh yeah I should have waited to comment lol...absolutely love the Kelloggs Corn Flakes set. I had 2 of them when they first hit the market. Very nice details.
👻Ghost👻, I too remember those glass cars. My Mom did Avon back, WAY back in the day. Boy she worked HARD. Full time at a factory, Briggs and Stratton, she also was a waitress at nights and weekends, and did Avon. She always helped me get my Dad some unique items, some of which I'm sure he liked only to make me happy...lol. I can remember those cars so well. I always had some type of cars in my toybox. Hot Wheels and Matchbox as a smaller boy, then Tyco and AFX as I hit the 9,10,11, and 12 years. Then model kits as a teen up to when I got my first car. A 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. I can't remember if it was a 4 or 6 cyl. But it was a dog. Then I traded up and my Dad helped me get a 1972 Dodge Charger, white "leather" interior. So sweet. 318 2 bbl. When I hit my 22nd birthday that following spring I found my dream car. A 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass W-30 442! 455 4bbl. Ram air. It was a ROCKET! In the four year I owned it I lost one race, to a 70 Camaro, that was running high octane fuel. I also almost died in it showing off. My Dad rode in it down a side street. It was just over a ¼mile long road that ended in a dead end. I floored it and we flew down the road again like a rocket. He got out and vowed NEVER EVER to ride it it again! He didn't either, he walked home. Both my parents are passed on and I miss them more everyday. Seeing you with Manny and Josh, out there collecting and enjoying the day, reminds me of some great memories. My childhood wasn't always the best. We had some not so good days, and some BAD days, but family is forever and so is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! I've comment before a I've been a fan since well before you built the toybox. Back when Manny and Josh were much "smaller". You always made this a family channel. From your multiple day monster truck races, jumps, and flips, to the van races, up to MTFL, Nascar King of the Hill, and your first Hot Wheels King of the Hill, it's always been fun and family. Those are the best memories anyone can have! After my Dad's first serious illness I helped him learn to walk again. That summer we spent 3-6 days a week going to breakfast and⛳Mini-Golfing⛳and during the time he needed help we became more than father and son, we became friends! Buddies, best buddies. I cherish those moments and memories. The same thing happened when my Mom became ill. She was bedridden the last few years of her life. She loved her soap operas. Being bedridden she didn't have much. So I got her a rear projection 🖥TV🖥 & VCR to replace our old floor 📺TV📺. We'd rent movies, order pizza, and I'd try not to let her think about how sick she was. My point is family is so important and life is so precious and sometimes short, too short. Your devotion to your kids, your family, is amazing and it hopefully inspires people to realize that families have to be you priority right next to God. Thank you for your dedication 🙏 👏 and your continued support of the die-cast family of collectors. Be Safe, 🙏🕊God Bless🕊🙏 , and take care of each other! Keep them Wheels a spinnin'! Boogeddy Boogeddy Boogeddy Let's go racin' boys! 🏁 P.S. the blue Hot Wheels @ the 43:44 mark is the Project Speeder, if I remember correctly. The 100 cars may not have had many "gems" but there's decent or at least "unique" cars. GREAT VIDEO AGAIN AS ALWAYS!
Fantastic video always enjoy the pickin videos. That little white yatming truck looks identical to the 70s majorette casting that I collected here in Ireland back in the day .You sure it's not a majorette or maybe they sold the license to yatming for sale in the US. Worth a lot with the trailers & in decent shape Chris .
cool finds , love the boat 😮 ❤ , bye the way the blue car is a mach speeder or a project speeder i think ( not sure ) . love the video's . greetings from Roberto van Vliet from the Netherlands
31:50 Those are definitely Halo minifigures from Mega Bloks (now Mega Construx). I have quite a few of them along with a bunch of Marvel minifigures from an old Mega Bloks license that had roughly the same articulation. I've custom painted a few and I keep them displayed and mixed around with my DC Lego sets.
Oh man i love diecast but those 3D metal letters were speaking my name, I seen just the letters to spell Hergy and that has been my nickname forever...i'd have a big metal Hergy hanging over my bed right now..as i continue to sleep alone...lol
Moise (mo-Ese)....you know as a NASCAR guy I'm gonna chime in Chris lol Also the 1995-1997 Chevy mold for action performance bugs the hell outta me. The cars weren't that wide or that boxy...but whatever. Still good to see ol T-Rex make an appearance
Its laughable how much money vendors think they can get at Flea Markets, Ebay really killed the fun of going to them. The days of finding hidden gems cheap are gone :(
Nothing more annoying than asking how much at a G sale or flea market and they start quoting ebay values
@@TheHazard777onCODPS3 yup tho in my experience so far haven't had that/this issue yet...
