- Hey everyone hope you enjoy the video. I go over a lil about what flatiron consisted of, how it was setup without going into too much detail about the courses itself. At the end I explain my thoughts on why or why it isn't worth going to Flatiron School. I also go into some detail about what my tips are if you don't want to attend Flatiron School. I ended up getting a help desk job
But they had connections to move me into cyber security
I didn’t end up committing to the career and moved on to another career
But I think with this program you can get your foot thru the door if you fully put your mindset to it
I almost landed a job with Columbia university for a entry level SOC analyst
But truly it’s about who you know tbh

have A+ plan on sitting for network+ before I enroll in the network security program. is it too much to do the curriculum while sitting for Security+ at the same time?
Hey man, thanks for the question so I would recommend to probably get the security plus after you complete the program at first they will be kind of slow but then I’ll pick up really quickly so it’s better just to focus on the network security program that you’re planning on enrolling And then getting the security plus done because if you come into the program already with the A+ CERT and Network+ you are already a step ahead you’ll have a great amount of knowledge so definitely just wait for a security+ afterwards cause then you can focus on that and strictly focus on the security+

I think now they went back to in person

Hey sorry for not responding to your earlier comment but in my opinion, I would just say do. Ore research on other schools that offer the same thing as Flatiron some may offer certifications that could help.
I think if you have the financial means to go to one of these then I’d say go for it if you don’t really have a job just yet it’s gonna be a lil risky to go and come out with almost 20k in debt. So I’d say do a lot of research and be prepared to work hard and make your decision from there

But I moved on from this career
But getting a job is possible just gotta make connections and stay consistent
