Yeah, burn system is bad I spent lot's of time to find out how does it works and I don't have any clue. It looks like that to set somebody on fire you have to fill some requirements. Like every single pallet of your shot has an amount of fire( for example 1) and to set somebody on fire you have to reach 10. And it looks like that third shot has more chance to do it. Shit I have no clue, ether this system is supper smart or supper dumb
Fires always been a bitch to work with. Did you know that the flamethrower cant re-apply burn even if youre still hitting the person with the fire? If Embark wants the shotgun to be good then they need to give the fire DOT overall some quality of life improvements to make it more consistent, just like how they did with gas some time ago.
It applies like a fromsoft status effect like in Elden Ring or Dark Souls. There’s a build up depending on the sum of pellets landed within a short time. The status effect decays quickly as well, so you have to land enough for the ignite relatively hastily if you don’t get it in a single shot. Missing pellets and letting the buildup go away by not reapplying the effect means no burn which is why it seems inconsistent. Also, smoke clears the burn effect on targets entirely.
Thats why its bad. Medium doesnt have the tools that light has which is why this gun doesnt work on medium. He doesnt have the mobility a SH1900 or the cerberus needs to make it work.

I think it's not as bad as people say, the issue is people are playing it like they played the model, which doesn't work because of the spread. But it's definitely not as good as a new gun should be on release.
I honestly like them making an underpowered weapon to start and see where the people go with it. But yes people are used to the model spread being almost non existent and the range. This is a genuine shotgun they just need to buff it's gimmick a lil.
I have so much fun with the Cerberus but I think the spread could be a the tiniest bit tighter and the damage range could use a little buff so it can compete with the 1887. I still use it most games even if it is a very situational weapon but it has great potential and I love it
This gun is like the entirety of the light class. When it's weak, it's very weak. When it's strong, it's very strong. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground with it.
It is actually an "ok" gun, not game breaking for sure, but neither unusable; a little buff to the range or the fire effect could be good if not excessive
@m4j0r3x Personally I find myself *more* dependent on my positioning since it has shorter range than the model. I feel like you have to be breathing down their neck almost to have a faster TTK
@@Fel1xKatze about 5m isn’t so bad, the fast ttk is what made it worthit for me. Run in, quickly dispose of someone then demat away to reload for round 2. What i think it does better than model is the burst dps to take out someone very fast who maybe is stealing your cash out, something the model would struggle with
Idk, it melts heavies real quick if you land all three shots, even if you don’t I just feel like a light using db who didn’t land both shots point blank
weird, I tried it in the firing range and it doesn't burn the goo. and the range ads or not is abysmal, you basically have to be face first to deal damage, like the double barrel shotty. I dont get it, maybe it's bugged there and only there

It’s initial damage per shot is way too weak to make it viable imo, combine that with the fact that you can barely kill a medium if all 3 shots connect with all pellets it becomes a problem, Cerberus needs its damage buffed I think
the chance to set on fire seems actually inconsistent, sometimes you are touching barrels and it doesn't ignites in 3 shots and sometimes you're a few meters away and it ignites in 1-2 shots unless it's some weird sweet spot?? it's gotta just be bugged

I find it extremely inconsistent but probably just skill issue. It's a fun weapon though, if you can land all your pellets it does big dmg. The problem is that it competes with the model. I think an easy change to make it more consistent is that the fire dmg applies on any pellet, I don't think it would be op, since it doesn't stack or reapply; but Idk.
It’s not that weak you just gotta be up in their face like the double barrel seems fair in my opinion and actually hit them in the mid body just like the double barrel like people think with the double barrel you just don’t have to aim but you really have to have good aim to hit those two taps and one daps on lights if anything it’s slightly better than the double barrel as a double barrel main this weapon is making me want to swap to medium does seem I consistent like the double barrel though
Maybe if given to the heavy who has a lot of damage gadgets and a charge and slam ability and also has 350 hp, it won't be weak, but other than that, it has to be buffed a little bit.
I haven’t played ranked yet, in world tour I am silver. I get diamond in ranked only for season 2 and 4 in season 3 I got emerald 1. I mostly play for fun and not really trying to be the first one. On low ranks much more interesting and funny people 😄
I played this game a little. I liked it, but there are two minuses. The first minus is that there is no autobalance. And the second minus is that everyone plays both a computer and an Xbox and a PlayStation, and this breaks the entire system of the game. That's why 300,000 people left you in a year. Only able to light ENEMY placed goo. You can't light your own goo.
