@@devenderkhangar2939 that's what my point is! The term which mam is using here is definitely wrong , small animals don't have large surface area it's basic knowledge! But they definitely have a large surface area to volume ratio. Not the large surface area. It really confused me as well and I had to go through the topic from book.
In December 2018, there was two questions in the topic of island biogeography it was 2 and 4 marks in part B and part C...U uploaded vedios about this topic.. Thanks
In surface area to volume ratio (SA:Vol) we are comparing the outside surface area of an object to its internal volume. As animals grow in size their inside (volume) gets “more bigger” than their outside (surface area). In general, remember,Small things have big SA:Vol. Big things have small SA:Vol. I have mentioned the relation of surface are to volume. please see that. Hope you will understand after that.
