3 Minute Flat Wash Tutorial - Painting & Brushstrokes Tips

Welcome! ✭ In this video, we're doing a quick 3 minute overview of a Flat Wash. A Flat Wash is a common watercolor brushstroke but you can use any type of paint for this brushstroke - I used acrylic in this video. If you're using oils, simply use an oil medium such as safflower or linseed oil, or gamsol, instead of water. You can use this brushstroke to cover a large area of flat color, or to simply paint with bold large brushstrokes that are diluted.
