I use a lens cloth to wipe my IP13PM off. As far as cleaning the speakers, lightning connector, the earpiece etc, I use a vacuum with the tools you buy for a computer keyboard. I don’t like sticking anything in the ports, especially the lightning connector port. Too easy to bend a metal connector!
I hate the dust that gets all between the cameras bugs my ocd so bad

I’m watching this off my iPhone 12 it’s mint green. I’ve been babying it with a microfiber cloth since I don’t have a screen protector I just traded for it. Trading two laptops and a switch. Definitely worth it.

you unfortunately didn‘t talk about cleaning the cameras. that‘s the advice I was looking for personally. a lot of dust accumulates around the big lenses and it‘s really hard to get rid of.
You can still use a soft brush or better the little can air compressor
It's glass. It's not going to get scratches from your clothes. Use your t-shirt, a microfiber cloth, or a brush. It doesn't matter

I got some white flour stuck in-between the bezels and the stainless steel rails and I can’t get it out I’m so frustrated 😢one day without a screen protector

I use glasses clothes it’s smoother & it cleans the stainless steel is making it more shiny ✨ compare to microfibre clothes some of them is making micro dust 😮

Thanks for the video. Quick question…what do you recommend for disinfecting iPhone devices? I noticed u mentioned no alcohol and wondered if you have any suggestions. I use device for work (touching many surfaces) and use sanitizer often. Since it has alcohol I’m guessing it’s not a good choice. Thanks in advance for your reply and help.
Actually the oleophobic coating that he mentioned wont be removed by alcohol theres a Wall street journal video on youtube testing this. But you should use alcohol wipes that have like 70% isopropyl alcohol in it.
I make my own spray 7 parts alcohol 3 parts distilled water and spray on cloth or coffee filter if I’m in a pinch.
Apples website says you can use alcohol just avoid bleach and another chemical I can’t remember at the moment
It’s fine to use alcohol based on the Apple website. Just use at most 70% for isopropyl and 75% for ethyl.

What would you recommend for cleaning a screen protector?
Probably the same thing you'd use to clean the bare display. Keep in mind that most screen protectors don't go edge to edge so you might get some product there on your phone's glass. I use alcohol wipes, but I'm thinking of an alcohol free product so I don't end up with a stripped bezel.
@@Progan666 yup I would always use alcohol wipes and I have a screen protector that has the notch cut out, and after a year of using the phone and wiping it I cracked the screen protector by a drop and went I changed it the oleophobic coating on the bezel and notch was gone so there was a visible mark on the screen even if I wipe it, it goes away but the second I run my finger across the top you can see where the coating wore off.
I get sweaty hands so i definitely need a wet cloth to clean it, too much dirt accumulated
I’ve always used a small metal needle to clean my iPhones lighting g port with no issues. You just need a torch to see in it or something like that
But is it necessary to follow all these steps everytime you clean your phone? What happens if I dont clean my phone like this? Am asking because all I do is take a small cloth like for the eye glasses, and I just wipe off the screen. Will my phone go bad overtime if i dont clean it?
Dude. Iphone is IP68. That means it is safe under water in 1m depth for 30 min. So just wash it in the sink like your watch

I usualy just go with the ol spit shine method
Apple updated their website you can use 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe, 75-per cent ethyl alcohol wipe or disinfectant wipes, you may gently wipe the exterior surfaces of your iPhone. I use hand gel 60% Alcohol with microfibre cloth to lightly clean my iPhones .. only put slight amount on the cloth.

Alcohol and distilled water mix. Spray onto a clean cloth. Wipe phone.
You should never use compressed air. You should maintain your iPhone in the same way as you maintain a PC. Your iPhone is basically a PC. Use an air blower!
