You're snacking because your body is missing something to feel full, or you've trained it to want food at those times. But you really don't need to follow this, the advent of social media health experts has blown all of these things out of proportion. There are only three significant things that affect your health: what you eat, the quality of your sleep, and how you exercise. Everything else is minor and on a case by case basis.

I don't sleep in a bed. A bed is a trap. I discovered this when I was a child. My father conducted irregular fire drills. 3am or so, he would run, shouting, through the house, terrifying my sister, mother and myself. If we weren't up and dressed in seconds, we would be yelled at for an hour or more. I sleep in an easy chair. Safer that way.

Only problem with intermittent fasting is the deprivation of protein during that time . The fasting is simply caloric deprivation. Eat protein in that period and try not to go without protein for More than 7 hours which is the average amount of sleep one needs.
@@guillermonaranjo4537 I consume 1 gram protein for pound of bodyweight which means 225 grams daily. The advantage of fasting turns out to translate simply to caloric restriction. Now I no longer have that problem. Muscle gain is hard enough without extended deprivation.
Thats gym bro science, you do not need to eat protein every 3hrs and 7hrs without protein dosen't make you protein deprived. Waking up middle of sleep to eat is an eating disorder.

Sleep on your left side. Seriously try it
Don't different food's digest in different amounts of time as well though? For instance, doesn’t an apple or similar piece of fruit on an empty somach take less than an hour to digest, and cause less oxygen and other bodily resources than a full blown igh protein or high carb or mixtof both type of meal?
It’s a very good thing to do. I don’t think anyone in the comment section will do it because that’s what lay people mostly rant about. Not following scientific evidence and creating this own nonsense. Well, if Bs works for you go for it because you tube is there to help you. Alas, most of them end up in the ER one way or the other.
"that's last bit of food in mouth" naw, first bit of meal in mouth
i like how they both demonstrate food-in-mouth by raising their imaginary fork to their mouths. that really drives the point home. thanks so much.
I’ll try but can’t promise 😊
I have a theory which is, I think it could depend on your sleeping surface. Most people will sleep on a bed, I sleep on the floor mostly and feel different sometimes better energy. Even 2 hours after eating but I also don't eat icecream or fast food now
....Me : I need my Sleeptime Snack . Or I'm waking up at 4 AM, needing something to eat. I go to bed around 9:30 or 10..PM ..it helps me sleep.....I usually have something with carbs/ protein....otherwise, I'm not sleeping that well. .. and when I have my Snack ....I feel RESTED and to me... THAT is what " Quality Sleep " is about !
So its not a " one size fits all " proposition.
I can’t sleep when I’m hungry and I’ll be hungry if I don’t eat a snack at least like 1-2 hours before bed. Unless I have a really huge dinner like 3-4 hours before bed, then I could just not eat again before bed. But I rarely stuff myself that much for dinner on an average day.
I am the same!
It all depends on total calories and macro distribution. My last meal has only 450 calories and low carbs.
"That's....
Last bit of food in mouth?".
RHETORICAL QUESTIONS NEVER CEASE.
How about dinner being the last meal!!!....
meaning....
no munching after the last meal of the day.
QUITE FRANKLY....
you only need 3 meals per day with no eating
between meals.
A MAJORITY OF PEOPLE AMONG THE LIVING
HAVE PISS POOR DIETARY DISCIPLINE.
In this day & age....
if it requires willpower....
most people are reluctant to do the work.
FACTS!!!.

The Covidian dispenses health advice.
If I go 4 or more hours without eating before bed, I wake up at the 6 hour mark starving which ruins my sleep. I have to eat at least 3 hours before bed.
get off the carbs and you won't have those sugar crashes. the fact that you're having them in sleep enough to wake you suggests pre-diabetes.
I get way to hungry to do 3 hours of no food before bed. And I eat a lot of protein. Idk if it’s habit or what but I feel ravenous if I try to do that and I get bad sleep
This woman is gorgeous!
Really?
He felt the need to define eating as, "that's the last bit of food in mouth."
If I go to bed hungry, I can't sleep.
Dr Rhonda is legend!
I bet Rhonda never worked construction
😂😂😂😂😂 Unless she's 65 I don't even want to know what health advice she has
Three hours is the amount of time the medical doc told me too.
Is this a podcast? If so what's it called. I think he interviewed Isreatel
Modern Wisdom by Chris Williamson.
@@DariusB127 right on!
Chris is probably the best interviewer!
I do intermetint crystal meth throughout the day. I start getting cranked around 8:00 a.m. rage on through the day. Hot rails, bong rips. Back to back, gettin lit. No food, gross, no fuckin way. Food sounds totally revolting. Last hit around 4:30 or 5:00 p.m.. 3 or 4 dabs of wax and half of a tiny bottle of whisky for dinner around 11:00 p.m. sometimes a salad if i can stomach it.
Lost over 50 pounds in 4 months and i have had a phenomenal time doing it
Meth teefs and meth calves kinda ruin it though.
You’re kidding I know but would be interesting to get bloodwork before and after this diet from those who took this route and lost a lot of weight.
And it’ll all change in a few months or years. Avoid junk processed foods. If hungry-eat.
wrong. hunger is a habit (ghrelin) and induced by a sugar crash if you're on carbs. think about it... how can your body truly be demanding food when you're overweight with fat?
I love her hair.
When training hard thats impossible go to bed hungry thats bad 🙈🤣
Just eat good and NOT to much food at a time! You'll always be healthy!
This is all well and good statistically, yet, not if your thrashing around in bed, grumbling stomach, keeping one awake best part of the night. It's a battle you don't need. Grab a small square piece of chocolate, and let it mellow on your tongue ... Works for me, every time, getting restorical sleep, burning one's metabolism in the process!
Knowledgable woman is such a wife material 😍
That's great advice. Been a rule of mine for decades. Almost impossible to gain weight if you eat relatively healthy and follow this rule.
Or 11:00 pm and are VERY HEALTHY.
Safer that way.
so over at the child abuse video, you're commenting about eating before bedtime?
@@Kube_Dog you are confused.
This will never happen. I like to sleep RIGHT after eating for the best sleep of my life. Zero digesion issues mny whole life.
I like a light snack about 1.5 hours before bed. I don’t like to go to sleep when I’m hungry. I would rather fast through the morning. Maybe 9pm to 9 am.

This must be taken dramatically out of context.
Only problem with intermittent fasting is the deprivation of protein during that time . The fasting is simply caloric deprivation. Eat protein in that period and try not to go without protein for
More than 7 hours which is the average amount of sleep one needs.
12hr daily fast... 12hrs of eating at 50 grams of protein every 3hrs.. with fasting maybe 30hrs once a week. Optimize both worlds
@@guillermonaranjo4537 I consume 1 gram protein for pound of bodyweight which means 225 grams daily. The advantage of fasting turns out to translate simply to caloric restriction. I gave up fasting because it deprived me of even doses of protein throughout my day. The fasting precluded those evenly dispersed doses. I lost muscle gains so dearly needed. Now I no longer have that problem. Muscle gain is hard enough without extended deprivation.
Thats gym bro science, you do not need to eat protein every 3hrs and 7hrs without protein dosen't make you protein deprived.
Waking up middle of sleep to eat is an eating disorder.
The first time I watched I thought she said 5 hours, not 3 and was like NOOoooOOOOo!
She’sso cute the way she explains things.

Everyone's body is not the same.
They all work the same thou

Most people aren't outliers.
Obviously the same when you look at it physically. But not the same because of bloodtype, chemical compounds etc. A white person is not exactly the same as a Indian. Or a person mixed with various races. But common sense is the same in the whole world as is stupid. Those things don't change no matter the race you are. Kindness is the same. But blood has variety. Ignorance has different faces but it's exactly the same. I hope that explanation is one to understand.

Did Steve Huberman transition?
Ive tried this as ive seen it mentioned before, but i cant sleep hungry, and eveb if i do i wake up hungrier.
It’s impossible When you fast for 15-18 hours and have to eat lots of protein within a small window. I stop eating an hour before bed. And no, I can’t use whey protein as a substitute. I have to eat eggs and meat, plus veggies.
Well what if I’m trying to build muscle ? 🤔
Do not eat or drink past 4pm. In the morning drink 1lit of water.
I stop six hours before I go to bed, and my sleeps are amazing.
This is actually bullshit. It’s all about total calories consumed over a long period of time. Not the interval at which you eat/sleep
