I heard him in live as Manrico recently in November in Chieti. Don't believe in videos, even if we can appreciate a little bit through this one, some things about his voice. I need to say that, his voice is huge, even more than I expected and much more dark than in that video, but very VERY powerful, he is never covered by the orchestra (a very often thing with 'big tenors' today as Tommaso, Telemann, Kunde etc) and he is signing the 'Pira' in the original tune with the high C (a lot of Dramatics tebors can do that and sing tous aria in B, half a tone down) and the Db in the end of the terzetto. He is a pure Lirico-Spinto, as in the old times was Lauri Volpi, Filippeschi or Nicola Martinucci, very powerful and Sunny meditarranean voices, but never white! The more dramatic thing of the role at the end, is absolutely perfect. I think , the opera world have fear about him because he is not yet a big name and he is a menace for the "throne" and he can also kill a lot idols. Bravo, Diego Godoy, keep going.
Sorry but this singer is not a real tenor. This aria gives a chance for 2 or 3 high Cs and he only did the last one and very poorly and flat. And the last 3 or 4 notes are Cs and he sang them an octave below. Sorry.
My new favorite tenor after the first time I heard him in his debut in "Trovatore". The most beautiful high C of the opera today🔥 I follow him until Chieti this year holidays in Italy!!
