Sorry to be spamming the comments, re Slegers. After a few years watching, I have come to the opinion that mananging a women's team is quite different to a men's team. I will not go into why that is, but it's not just keeping the players happy, whose relationships are different to those of a men's team, but it also affects what playing styles work. Slegers is only lacking the hype that, I think we can agree, is largely bollocks with regard to blokes like Eidvall and Taylor. She has most players performing at their best, most of the time. One other reason to sign her: while money and careers are important in football, it's not fighting a war or feeding people or running a hospital: it is an entertainment industry. Arsenal have the opportunity to write a real story with Slegers, and it is being written. Yeah, a team can hire in the best mercenary manager, who is just doing a job but whose identity and greatest achivements have been done elsewhere. Slegers is, to make an analogy, the 'academy player thrown into the big match'. It's a story, it's what makes clubs great and gives fans great memories beyond just acquiring the big prizes. Give her a pen, and da ting.
Absolutely agree, while “though & stern” types of managers might do well in the men’s game they’ll fail to produce results in the women’s because women and men react differently to it & ngl there’s this big “be a man” side of men’s sport that doesn’t really translate to the women’s.
Aston Villa woman is in talks with the former coach of Bournemouth and Wolverhampton. It is reported that the club is ready to offer a 3-year deal to the former Premier League manager
On this channel!😅 Glad you enjoyed the video. I would recommend Soccerdonna for transfers news and rumours. Of course we will be across all the WSL news but their coverage is good
Arsenal fan, the team/formation in the thumbnail makes me happy. At their level, only a trophy 'meets expectations' (and would be a fairytale for Renee). Like the men's team, they used up (wasted?) their dropped points early on. They really have to win almost everything and that's an awful lot to ask. Chelsea have found a way to get the points in matches where they have been very poor.

I think we should wait for the Summer with Walsh. Spending money when Chelsea WILL win the league is pointless imo. Get her for free next year along with quality up front and properly compete.
My concern with asnal is squad harmony...in the long term they need to offload unused great talents like little since pelova is even yet to return shes gonna be 3rd in the perking order such ego can interfere with balance
One thing I disagree with these people is that Patri Guijarro is not on the level of Keira Walsh, I love Walsh but Patri is better. Barcelona is not naive we will buy a new DM or Call up a young DM and Engen can play there not at the level of Walsh but can play there. Visca Barca ❤💙
Wälti and Little were injured, so Mariona had to play a couple of matches lower. Not a permanent position for her. Slegers was happy that Mariona could handle this new position so well.
Cooney-Cross is a superb base so Mariona can move forward... with Maanum, three attackers, and Fox and McCabe both naturally aggressive, it makes a solid unit. Shaw and/or Ramirez can exploit that space behind, but not many others.
3 first choice midfielders are injured, Little, Wälti and Pelova; Mariona is giving a hard over there, and she is talented enough to do get the job done. Is a temporary solution.
You guys set the standard for analysis, impartiality, and high pace in your presentation. Well done.

Where can we look for reliable transfer news in the womens game?

As a barca fan of many years it is bizarre to see Mariona playing so low on the pitch. She is much more naturally an attacker.

We were short in midfield plus she’s so good that she can do perform anywhere against certain opposition.
