- Welcome to Day 1 on board the Carnival Liberty as we set sail out of Port Canaveral, Florida for a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas with port stops in Nassau and Princess Cays (Carnival and Princess Cruise lines private beach).
Day 1's big events are Embarkation and the Sail Away party. There is also a little bit of Karaoke and a tour of my room. Come along for the trip and hopefully it will give you an idea of what to expect if you have never been on a cruise before.

We have sailed on the Liberty twice love this ship
I've been on it's sister ship, Carnival Freedom. I have yet to find a Carnival ship I haven't liked.

I'm hoping to make a trip to visit New Orleans and take another cruise on the Liberty. I love the theming and had a great time last time I was on it.
My Mom and I just took our first cruise on the Carnival Liberty from Port Canaveral too. It was so much fun!
I enjoyed the Liberty. I was on it's sister ship, Carnival Freedom, last year and had fun with that one too. For the price, I think this class of Carnival ships are a great value.

Happened to run into your channel today. Started off with your Elation videos, and now I'm here. I've sailed on the Elation once (will be twice next week) and the Liberty twice. Your points are pretty spot-on with the ship differences. Overall, I liked the Liberty better, but both are great for smaller ships.
Thanks for watching. I think the Liberty/ Freedom are the "sweet spot" for the ships. I like the bigger feel but with the smaller crowds. However, there are a lot of ships and classes I haven't been on yet so my experience is limited. I just went on the Mardi Gras and it was a fun ship, but there were a lot of people so I felt like I had to wait in line to get good spots to watch the shows.

Have fun! The weather should be great and I think Liberty has the perfect crowd/ size/ entertainment ratios.
Going on my 1st solo cruise (Carnival Magic out of Miami) going to Amber Cove DR, Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay. In a spa balcony
That is exciting! I was nervous my first solo cruise, but after the initial fear, you realize everyone is there to have a good time and people are very friendly and love telling their stories. Cruising alone is a great way to meet people and you can do what you want, when you want. I've never been to Amber Cove or Half Moon Cay so I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on those places when you get back.

Hello Mike, been watching your videos want to make my first cruise w my kids. What is the safest cruise for a single mom w 2 kiddos?
I think every cruise will be safe, to be honest. I know Carnival has youth programs for the kids called Camp Ocean for the younger kids and Circle "C" and Club O2 for teenagers. Even the ports are safe if you stay in the immediate port area and do not go exploring on your own. Carnival does excursions with vetted vendors and you go in a group if you decide to go do something like that.
What camera are you using? Are you using a gymbal too?
For the outside shots, I was using the GoPro Hero 11. For inside and evening shots, I have a Sony FX3 that I use. No Gimbal on the vlogs, just the image stabilization on both cameras. For my Walkthrough on the Elation, I used the Sony with a gimbal. On my new videos, I am using the DJI Pocket 3 because it has a built in gimbal and that is better than the GoPro's electronic stabilization, in my opinion.
