    I have the model down. I would so love to test this one. I am a flashlight consumer. I am a Nitecoreman all the way. Have you ever done a comparison between the TM15 and TM28. I'm considering a TM28, if it's a significant step up from the 15.

      I own a Nitecore TM06S which kind of looks like the smaller version of this model (TM28) and one thing I LOVE about the TM06S was that when set to Turbo i would get a SOLID 10 minutes before any lumin drop was visible.
      Even tho it says 1hr on turbo and actually only lasts 10 minutes on MAXIMUM lumin before it drops, compared to other flashlight Turbos that's really good!
      Some lights are only on Turbo for 10 seconds to at most (usually) 4 minutes before it drops significantly, regardless of the hours it says it's supposed to be on turbo for.
      Anyway, every time I left it on Turbo I got 10 minutes before it starts to slowly drop.
      I'd love it more if companies would ACTUALLY tell you how long it lasts on maximum lumin, but I was glad I purchased it.

    • @MClass2011
      @MClass2011 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dsandoval9396 That's pretty good for a smaller light. The smaller the light, the quicker the taper in output, due to less surface area for heat dissipation. My TM15 stays on turbo, without any decrease in output, whereas my E4K steps down within 20 seconds. E4K is crazy bright for it's size, and the TM06S looks like a badass little light. Definitely love Nitecore.

      I came across it while searching for Nitecore SRT7GT one. I plan on getting one soon. But I have a question/little concern about the Stand-by flashing light on the side on the head part of the flashlight... Will it drain the battery if we leave it on Stand-by mode for several days or weeks?

    • @CharlesBridgTec
      @CharlesBridgTec  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eric 46 M3 The SRT7GT will take 3 months in standby to drain it down to 3.1v so you will recharge it if you plan to use it after long storage. You can loosen the tailcap to give better life on the cell you use.

    On your video the Nitecore TM28 seems to be even brighter than the Fenix TK72 despite it is rated with 3000 Lumen less. Is The Nitecore actually brighter than the Fenix and maybe even the Olight X7R Marauder or does it just seems that way because the beam of the Nitecore is more focused?

    • @CharlesBridgTec

    So I did not catch if you can not use the IMR batteries and use the batteries I like the best. The Orbtronic 3400 mAh. This would be like my TM26 version 3 which that is what I use with the Orbtronic batteries. I also use them in my other lights because of they just last so long and have such a great long lasting charge. As well you can just leave them in the light on standby, and it does not use up very much of the drain on the battery, so it is ready to rock and roll. I think you said in your review that you can use this type of batterie. I also own a bunch of Nitcore batteries, but I seem to lean towards the Orbtronics just being truthful. I have to get the best I can get when I am out and about. Unusually high up in the mountains. 14,000 ft. Just to also let you know if you go out a lot in the woods. I would purchase get the Nitecore USB charger with the adapter, so you charge these bigger batteries with your solar panel when you're off the grid and have no way to charge them. It works great when just leaving them hooked up to your backpack battery charger. I always keep at least 3 or 4 sets of the batteries, so I have a backup. This is so Very important when off the grid and not in town or have a car with you to charge them faster.

    Hi.
    I have been looking around for some flat top 18650 for my TM28. I was looking at getting some of the LG HG2 20A that you mention in the video. I live in the UK, and looking around on some of the websites, they mention "discontinued by the manufacturer" and they seem scarce over here and the shops that do have some are charging a very high price for them.
    I was wondering if you could recommend some high quality and reliable brands/or some cells that would be equal in performance etc to the LG HG2?
    Also it's been confusing me (with my very limited knowledge with these kind of cells) what the difference in performance would be, between for example a cell that was 3000 mAh 20A and one that was 3000 mAh 10A. Does the higher A mean a longer life before going flat.

      Yes, there are advantages for they are OEM cells which are the cheapest for your money. Those I have featured in my videos for they really hold up to the strains of flashlights. Don't go by the pulse ratings on batteries. Good luck!

      I am unsure to the battery terms, and wondered if you could enlighten me. For example does a higher number mAh mean that it would run longer in the TM 28 before going flat. Or does a higher figure max continuous discharge mean it would last longer before going flat. Sorry for all the questions, but I have limited knowledge as to what these battery terms mean. Appreciate the help.

      Higher amp will work best for higher output light. Any of the three I mentioned are very good so which ever you can get at the cheapest price will be fine. I listed the LG MJ1 because they have similar values as the original 3100 cells.

      No if you use the regular litium ion cells the turbo will only be 4k lumens. If you use the included IMR
      cells or unprotected cells you will will be able to achieve the 6k lumen turbo output. Thanks for watching!

    Hey Charles,
    I'm sorry for disturb you but i have a question
    I see your video with the nice "wilderness" place you use for test flashlight because she have a lot combinaison of short and long range and three of life to see beam of light.
    And also you speak is easy for french people to understand :D
    And my question is
    I've purchase TM26GT after compaire this video with recently request night test of TM26GT(Nitecore TM Series Quad Rays are my all time favorite flashlights! (including night shots).
    Nitecore send me TM28 ( for same price) with reason no stock of TM26GT so take TM28 she is more powerfull .... for christmas (in Nitecore France shop TM28 only 20 euros more price) (they change with not my accord too ... i've paid TM26GT they ship TM26GT and i receive TM28 with comment on border "change for superior for same price" -_-)
    And i choose TM26GT for is 120.000 cd TM28 have 104.000 cd
    On the two video i have the impression of TM26GT is more powerfull too long range and TM28 more large beam buy low range.
    Saw you have test the two light, what is real difference on this two light to beam at long range
    Are you thing i can keep TM28 if they > TM26GT because for the moment ship return and other charge or for me.... Because Nitecore say it's superior light for same price.
    I hope you can help me again im my choice for return or not.
    Have a good day :)

    • @CharlesBridgTec
      @CharlesBridgTec  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would keep it. It has a great combination beam. The TM28 has more lumens but only on turbo, so essentially it is able to run 2300 lumens without step down. The TM26GT is my favorite because it has a tight spill and hot spot, but the range verse light out put is not really needed to justify it. Normally the TM28 is more expensive. You can always get another TM26GT later. Thanks for watching!

    • @VodkaYaourt
      @VodkaYaourt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      :) Thanks for reply :)
      Many thanks, i note you suggest to my choice.
      I'm negociate to down price for wrong light changed with no information or agree from me.
      It's on good way to drop 60 euros of base price for the moment, not bad for a try.
      I see TM26GT arround 200$ in us store but in europa is it same price for the two ~340 euros, without cell :D
      And it's very hard to import US product in europa and if french customs officer catch your import, ayoye tax.
      So with your reply, i think i keep TM28 and try to get import TM26GT later.
      Quadray is a quadray and i want mine ! :) she is so beautiful and i'hve one just at my left, so hard :D
      I take time of week end for reflexion and do my choice.
      Merci encore et bonne continuation :)

      Charles BridgTec my bad i mean which one is the throw beam. Acually is good for long distances but a. Flood one or similar is better for protection cause u see more brighter in closer to u like wide range instead of a thrower.

    • @CharlesBridgTec
      @CharlesBridgTec  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2
