@tmyfatmufo I think the reason he used to not play it live was because he was so in the moment and adrenaline was so high that he would just forget . Plus it does go by very fast so you’d figure that it could go past his head
I’m more than confident he’s lip syncing. Chiodos is one of my all time favorites, but Craig is rough live always.. for those curious about how syncing works: It begins with a live recording (usually a soundcheck where they will go through their setlist) and while they go through those songs, they play with a Click track (in their ear monitors only so you don’t hear it). Then they take that recording and polish it in post editing (with effects and pitch correction…etc.) Then when the live thing happens all they have to do is either mute his mic or mix it lower than the recorded vocal track which is synced to the rest of the band because if that click track mentioned earlier and there you go, you’re now hearing near perfect vocals. They’re pretty good about not making it too perfect tho to add to the “real live” sound. They even leave gaps in empty spaces where Craig can actually say things live on the mic so it truly sounds all live. I know it all sounds extensive but engineers do it to take their live mixes to the next level, especially when dealing with TONS of bands to mix. Just kinda helps to have things where you want them when the time comes!
That Dead intro solo... finally, Ray played it live!!!!
Yess that's sick intro solo 🔥🔥
Yes!!! It’s so Iconic
Why does he not play it tho? Affraid to make a mistake maybe?

Got to do both. Better the first time around and not even close. Like a 9.5/10 vs 8/10.
