Shad Fishing at Bonneville Dam 2022

We went fishing for American Shad at Bonneville Dam on the first Saturday of June, 2022. The prior day has shad count of over 60K but the day we went there dropped to 27K. We started fishing from 8AM to about 4PM. I personally caught only 2 shads :( everyone has caught about 4 or 5 except master Thao. He probably caught more than everyone else combined. Most of the shad that we caught were male. We'll definitely have to try again when the count gets above 100K.

I like to either grill or fry the whole fish. My parent prefers to pressure-cook them so they won't have to worry about the bone.

That is better than us. We were there from 7 to 4 last weekend and caught only half of that. Hopefully this weekend will be better 😆

I forgot to make appointment in advance, so the most of the fishes went party when we got there :D
