Your desk would also look good in the center of the desk with working room space on both sides. So I can place it in the center where the to flat top desk meet. Then place your lamp on the opposite side away from the window.

You don't have to get a file cabinet if you don't want all of that office stuff in your living room you can always get the short little cabinets that slide right underneath your desk you can get two of them just look around you will definitely find them just saying
