I am a 22 years old man and for me, she is much more beautiful than almost all film actresses today.
She is going to be missed by generations to generations..and everyone to feel that she belongs to his or her generation..her voice,style, innocence and what not.
She died too early at 35 and with a sad personal life😔 but she is still a legend. She was a gift of god and she was way ahead of her time. Amazing song and voice. This song will never get old. RIP Nazia.

Nazia Hassan and Zoheb took the music world by a storm in the early 80's. Their style of music was very futuristic for those times. Listening to them now does not make their songs any less even in today's highly advanced technological standards. Disco deewane, Star and some singles sung by Nazia are evergreen.

Agreed that Biddu played a major role as a composer in popularising disco music in Asia and was instrumental in introducing Nazia and Zoheb. But a singer's contribution is equally significant to a song's success. Both these singer's had a unique vocal texture and style that was so new to asian and Indian music especially in early 80s. Sometimes a singer's ability and capacity also influences a composer's tune and composition. Disco deewane and star have been a team work of lyrics, musical arrangements and production. They all deserve the credits.

I am a Pakistani and was a young kid back then, Nazia and Zohaib Hassan were all over the airwaves in urban centers in Pakistan.
I was in high school in Pakistan when I heard her singing this song live on the stage, I can never forget that experience, its engraved in my heart and mind since than.Seeing her live singing on the stage was like a dream world. She was so beautiful, elegant and classy.
Whenever I see her on TH-cam it makes me cry that she died so early with so much pain in her personal life.
