I've really enjoyed the Alien RPG. I've been kicking around the idea of mixing in the 80s RPG 2300AD, which has a very similar overall feel, but without the Horror side of things. Its system was seemingly unplayable. I sure couldn't make heads nor tails of it. I haven't tried out the newer version that Mongoose is putting out, but I assume it has better system mechanics.
I have and very much want to try Mothership and some of the 3rd party stuff that's been done for it, like Cloud Empress.
I haven't picked up Coriolis, yet. It reminds me a lot of Fading Suns from the 90s, which was one I really liked. Fading Suns's system was clunky, but I loved the setting. It didn't lean quite so far into The Arabian Nights, but still had some of the feel. It drew a lot from Dune, Star Wars, and Warhammer 40K, but with some heaping doses of Medieval Europe & the Middle East.
In spite of being in the hobby since the 80s, I only just played Traveller for the first time last year. I'm still in an ongoing game and really liking it. I've only played Mongoose 2nd Ed, but I've found the system much simpler and more intuitive than I expected. There's a lot of extra crunch you can add if you want, like getting into the nitty gritty of ship design or robot construction. But if you don't want to dive that deep into things, the core game is pretty easy to learn. I really like it. And the setting gives you a big sandbox to play in.

I might add _Star Trek Adventures_ to this list but everything you discuss is really quite excellent. My preference is _Coriolis_ or _Traveller_ though the latter demands a bit more from the table, given its potentially immense breadth and depth.
