@@NovaAge The more you cut something the more wear a knife gets, to the point where it struggles to cut something soft like a tomato. What I think the audio clip means is that the knives the monkey's using are cutting a lot of bloons but they aren't getting worn down in the process, either because bloons don't wear down knives too much or because they're made of high quality steel. My guess's on the former.

I think to 1-up this he/she should make it learn .2 tower chimps. See what’s possible and what’s not with a voting system for viewers to chose said towers
This strategy is actually genius, one of the restrictions of the AI is it’s towers can only target first, so to get around that it invests in multiple upgrades to send bloons back to the beginning. The dart monkey is there in order to pop the bloons that might catch back up to the zeplins and draw fire away from the bigger threats. Watching all of what this AI does is absolutely incredible.
That dart monkey at the beginning combined with the towers that push back bloons is such a clever strategy to get around only being able to set towers to target first. I am so impressed by this AI.
The next challenge, half cash. Not but seriously that would be interesting to watch, the AI is used to normal cash so seeing it with half cash would be interesting.
@@b2stud sounds like your ai is gona have a stroke... but it might learn more from half cash as it would need the cost efficient towers that actualy do more than one thing like its doing now, if it can smash half cash it would crush just about any other mode
It would be interesting if you used money leftover after beating round 100 as a fitness score, as this would also prioritize learning efficient tower placements and upgrades.
Amazing videos man, I would love to see footage of the AI learning process, watching the AI go though many generations and watching it go past each round would be amazing, watching the meta evolove as the AI plays is something I love seeing. I got obsessed with Super Mario AI and this reminds me heavly of it!
There's a video done by "davidrandallmiller". It's called I programmed some creatures. He goes into detail about the Neuro Evolution of Augmenting Topologies. While show casing the evolution of some creatures he made by giving them mutations, genes, neurons, etc. His explanation is beautifully done and does many different scenarios. AI is capable of such amazing things. I’m a follower of the competitive Starcraft scene. Perhaps the most competitive game in the world, Starcraft is a real time strategy game where you build a base, build an army, and try to beat your opponent. The game is so vast and complicated. Imagine my shock when I heard that someone was creating an AI to play Starcraft. No just that, but it was good enough to beat some of the best players in the world. I had heard AI had figured out Tik Tak Toe and Chess and other games. Whatever, you have perfect information! It’s turn based! I reasoned there was no way an AI could beat a professional player! I was proved wrong when AlphaStar played Team Liquid’s MaNa and won, 5-0. The bot was introduced to ladder (competitive) games in July and had attained Grandmaster, or the top 0.2% of players, by August. It’s amazing what AI is capable of. I’m very, very interested to see how far you might take this.
ngl that ice monkey was quite a strategic investment. It really helped slow those DDTs down, a bloon infamous for ending chimp runs. Also it’d be interesting to see how it could do in CO-OP games.
At first I didn't know where the AI doing until he began to upgrade the enginer then I realized the clicks pattern But i saw that he has a strategy like in round 28 4:13 he bought cleansing foam And after a round and round he bought a tower after a tower at first it was random to me then he bought upgrade after another so it was obvious he has a strategy But a great video overall👏 Hope to see one that win with the cheapest way
Interestingly that's something that it learned not to do, about 10 runs before it produced this one it was wasting 8k on the dart monkey fan club just before it could get prince of darkness, very frustrating to watch
Ironically efficiency can be defined by producing the correct result by using the least amount possible, which is exactly what you're calling it inefficient for. While I admit that the AI isn't very efficient in that sense either with the random stuff it buys, it's sort of a success that there is plenty of room for error in its strategies and plenty of opportunities to afford the higher tier monkeys
the next step for your ai is not just beating chimps on other maps, but also finding the cheapest way to beat chimps. that would require alot of ai evolution time but the results will be interesting
despite having no knowledge of what towers were good (other than what were useless) they still managed to pull out 2 surprisingly meta t5s in chimps. the icicle impale and the prince of darkness.

I have friends who use similar strategies to this to pass harder maps so yeah id say so. The AI also wastes money on things that aren't important. You can see the stronger towers here were Sauda, Prince of Darkness and Icicle Impale. The batman super monkey is the main dps tower but its a very strange choice. Replace that with a tack zone and you have a very solid strat I reckon.
@@b2stud Combined with Icicle Impale, PoD is definitely enough to handle all the DDTs and weaker Bloons like Supercerams and MOABs. The main problem is BAD damage. An Archmage would do pretty nicely, I reckon.
This is quite interesting. And, so is the strategy. Though, there's a few obvious improvements that could be added; 1. Abilities 2. Mouse Positioning 3. To understand the value of Monkey Farm; It doesn't see an immediate benefit to them, and because of the mouse positioning, will almost never utilize the tower.
Huh- I was proud to have made an AI that could read the gamestate by checking pixel colors on the screen to play a game of Infininode 2. This is technically more impressive, considering you've piped data directly from the game, rather than ripped it off the screen, and used an actual AI as opposed to a preplanned algorythm.

Its interesting to see that the AI doesn't spend all its money. Needs to get more efficinet rather than floating a bunch in the bank.

there will be definitely be a sequel to this down the road which will address that, but for now I have other content i'm about to release
