I am glad you did the video the Rtic 20 looks bigger then what I thought. I recently got the Rtic 45 and I was considering getting the Rtic 20 as well for everyday use.
I bought a rtic 45 during the sale, and am kicking myself for not getting a twenty at the sale price. I have decided the rtic is dollar for dollar all over the Yeti. Yeti is no longer a local American owned company, and they mention manufacturing in Philippines or something on their website. Although they claim if you specially request an American made yeti they will " make it happen", I have a feeling most are foreign made anyway. Might as well go with rtic and save the money. Have also used Engle and pelican coolers. Both very good. I got the pelican at a very good price when they first came out, but they seem much more expensive now.
me myself and I, rtic openly says on their site that their coolers are so competitive price wise is because they’re made over seas and they don’t put them in retail stores, only on their website. So that’s how they are able to keep prices so low with such a quality product
Drew Cripple That's one reason I would only buy an RTIC on sale. Yeti has always controlled their dealer pricing, keeping it premium even on imported products from Philippines and China. You toe the line , or you can't carry their products. The only way a retailer could cut you a deal, was by providing free shipping. Luckily, there are a number of American companies making coolers as good or better, and the pricing is becoming competitive. I wonder, after going after RTIC in court, if Yeti will also try to sue Orca for making a cooler thats just as similar?
I bought the SeaFoam RTIC 45 for $190 on the website. What did you get yours for? I'm thinking of canceling the order because it won't ship for about three months... gives me time to to find a Yeti Tundra 35 on sale for about the same price. I'm military so I get a bit of a discount... Got any advice?
me myself and I no kidding. I just ordered a 20 to go in the back of my truck and ATV. It was more expensive than the 45 I bought a couple years ago. I have no problem with my 45, so just stuck with the brand.
The reason the RTIC has a split in the gasket is so that years down the road if it ever corrodes or dry rots and needs replaced, it can be removed from the lid and a replacement gasket can be mailed in a padded envelope. Yeti? NOPE! You're mailing the WHOLE !@#$ing cooler back to them for repairs. Which would you rather pay to ship, a gasket or a cooler?
I’ve been looking to get the rtic 20 for work I got the 52 ultra light rtic for the house and trips and stuff and it’s significantly lighter than my yeti 45 loaded up but still heavy nonetheless
this stuff is definitely as good as Yeti but for a reasonable price. I've had one of the stainless steel drinking bottles for a few years and even in 120 degree desert dove hunting weather it keeps ice for days. no joke. I'm looking forward to getting one of the coolers. thanks for the review/unboxing.
Rtic true 20qts , yeti only 17 qts , same with all other Rtics and yetis, that’s why lots of people think rtic is better in ice retention , it’s the same cooler made by same machine , but rtic being true to size , is why it has better Ice retention. More ice more time .
It’s actually been proven that the amount of ice has little to do with ice retention. You can check out “coolers on sale” for videos or their website showing these results
Is there enough room for solo drinks and snacks for a week? Debating between this 20 or the ultralight for 32 for the same price but this might be better as it seems to be holding ice longer and the divider and basket is nice
This is a Awesome little cooler 15 hour day in Texas Heat on hot barge .15 bottles of water and 1 coke 1 Gatorade, 8# Bag of ice, at the end of my time i had ice cold water with a little ice. It holds a Strong seal, had to open a drain plug a little just to open the lid. A++ in my book
I wish I could help you my man... but on the other hand I'm super glad I don't know that answer!!!! -30... sounds like you should bury your goods like 5 foot in the ground to keep from freezing!!!
You have probably gotten some good use of this cooler by now. It is wonderful. BTW, Dick's has the uncanny ability to piss people off, especially sportsmen and gun owners. They must be following Yeti's business plan. FWIW, I do not go to Dick's and will never buy another Yeti (I have their 65, actually 56 quarts). A RTIC 65 is a true 65 quart cooler.

Pretty big and heavy to tote around for daily use. Glad it helped. A soft cooler maybe be better if you don't need the ruggedness.
Thank you for the review had my Shieti stolen last week and needed a new one but the price is just ridiculous. Just placed my order for the 20 Rtic
the center divider slot is for their cutting board. pretty sweet ad-on.

Erin Burke think I bought my 45 for like $120 a couple years ago.

are you going to do a weight and ice food testing with the rtic 20? I am petite and wonder if it's doable with it loaded lol
not sure but is your RTIC logo misplaced? lol looks misaligned
Thank you. Is the RTIC sticker able to be removed?
100$? Where did he find that for 100$?
Is the 20 big enough for what you're going to use it for? Debating between 45 and the 20
The 20 is small. The 45 will be heavier. If weight and space isn't an issue I would do the 45
Haha “makin’ dust”
This is a Awesome little cooler

Glad I went with RTIC!👍
Excellent review thanks for sharing.
I live out in the Midwest. Are these coolers safe to leave outside when it can get to -30 degrees?
I wish I could help you my man... but on the other hand I'm super glad I don't know that answer!!!! -30... sounds like you should bury your goods like 5 foot in the ground to keep from freezing!!!
I live in ND. They definitely can.
Good review, thorough!
Thanks bud👍
Put some YETI Stickers on it. HHas.Great review.
V Vogt it will be stolen haha
For what? Go look into yeti & the 2nd amendment ....
I put all the yetis to the road.
Does the handle on the Yeti pull out of the side as easily as the RTIC?
Wow RTIC sure ripped off Yeti
The inventors of yeti sold yeti and made rtic
forgedabouted actually, owner of yeti got divorced and his wife started rtic lol
REEF X mr Then in gonna have to get a yeti
forgedabouted if you care about your 2nd amendment rights I wouldn’t.
REEF X mr shit you're right
Maybe you’re right I should think about that, thanks

Buy Rtic yeti is overpriced as hell
Rtic! All day
Not made in USA. Igloo is
you experience at Dicks has nothing to do with the quality of this comparison. You should stick to the agenda.
What is better plis in spanish my no entender
Marco Alvarez por su dinero, RTIC es mejor.

You can get a new gasket from yeti customer service, your comment is quite invalid in this case
