Joint Shia-Sunni Namaz & Eid Milan - Shoulder to Shoulder // Eid-Ul-Azha 2018 // Akkasi Films

For the fourth year in a row, Lucknow's Shia and Sunni Muslims stood beside each other, shoulder to shoulder, to offer joint Namaaz on Eid-ul-Azha on Wednesday.
The namaaz was organised at Shahnajaf Imambara Lawns at 8AM and was followed by an Eid Milan programme wholly organised and managed by a team of non-Muslim volunteers.
Special arrangements had been made this year for women to offer prayers.
The namaz, which was led by Maulana Mustafa Nadvi, was preceded by a short address by Prof. Ali Khan Mahmudabad.
Like previous years, citizens from other religious communities were present to witness the historic event and lend support to the cause during the Eid Milan programme. The guests were served sewain and other refreshments by Shoulder to Shoulder Foundation volunteers.
