This is a 30L multi-sport pack with some innovative features. Stay tuned for updates as I put this pack through long-term field testing.

    Brother your video is amazing. I have and I love the bag too, well the scram anyway, but I have to say you’re good at what you do. I look forward to seeing more of your videos now that I subscribed. Excellent job!👍

    This is real nice, pretty much the perfect skimo pack, I like those magnetic buckles. Would be cool to see how that ski system works with skis. Nice job man

    Wow this video was so helpful. I just purchased the scram pack a month ago, and I didn’t know how to use the metal hook or the red tie. I just wish you had gone through that part a little slower. But thank you just the same. Because there are no other videos that show how to utilize it.

    Features-wise it's not quite right for me, but that is a *damn* good looking pack.

    The pack looks like it's got a good feature set, but too bad their branding is so big. ULTIMATE DIRECTION! They need to calm down with the huge text.lol

    Hi thanks for the review. How well does this pack compress? For example the fast pack 25 and 30 have that side compression pull strap. I really like that. Does this one have something like that?

    How do you attach two trekking poles here along with ice axes? Is there a way? I need to use one ice axe with two non-foldable trekking poles. Also how would you attach helmet here?

    • @HikingNerd
      @HikingNerd  ปีที่แล้ว

      You would have to rig some attachments and cinches for the trekking poles to all fit on one side. A little loop to drop the trekking poles into and that you can twist to remove slack, then some kind of elastic loop with a buckle so you can secure the top of the trekking pole.
      For helmet, you can find stretchy helmet carry straps that can be mounted onto daisy chain loops. Or find some long velcro to attach to chose daisy chain loops.

    Hello can you use a water reservoir with the pack?

    • @HikingNerd

      It’s not part of the pack design but you could make it work

    Nice video. In the past, these kind of packs had horrible shoulder straps, they had hard seams on the edges, ideal if you did a pilgrimage and your religion demanded you, to suffer as much as possible. Is this fixed now? These seams did cut into your shoulders and your clavicle, if you were wearing these packs for some hours per day. I dumped my UD with 40 liters quickly on the PCT for this reason.

      This one is mostly seam-free on the inside, but the straps do come down pretty high on the ribs compared to a 40L+ multi-day backpack as you typically find with a vest-style pack. Will have to do further testing to see how this feels in terms of comfort.
