Henry, I'm really enjoying your content. I'd be really interested in understanding available actions if an Iron Condor goes way further up or down than expected. What does it look like when things don't play out right, when should I buy/sell to close, etc (or how do you even unwind a Condor?)
How are you exercising the contracts for the returns? waiting for expiration?

You do not exercise anything, you collect the premiums. That is it.

@@LGchapin Dk if u got you question answered another place, but yes, you collect premium when you sell an option. You keep 100% of it, if it expires worthless. You could also earn 50% off it, if you decide to sell some days before it expires
At expiration, sometimes your sell(short) options can be assigned. Just happened to me on friday and had to sell 14,800 worth of stock, luckily my broker also auto exercised my long call option for 14,900 and protected my account from the obligation. If your broker doesnt exercise automatically you would be in deep shit. I would have taken a larger loss vs a -100 loss
wowzah good stuff Henry and by the comments of more experienced traders sounds good lol, just alot of info to absorb without much of the steps of how to do this (i noticed started but then stopped unike your other videos where you walked us throught steps in buying/selling etc).. so for this 47 year old newby has alot more reading research, video watching to learn.. hopefully at some point it all comes together. thank you, Liz

market manipulators can see your option plays and will push the price otm. Have experienced this firsthand
Secret tip you have to know which stock to use this strategy with. Iron Condors are for Stocks like At&t that move slow ( Note: make sure you find the dividend date of that stock so you may close your contract out before that date). First practice on think or swim because you need to know how to OPEN them and CLOSE them. Study, Study, Study! (Note: Slow moving ETFs have a higher percentage return and have further out expiration dates to close. For examples At&t you can open a contract that expires in the week now when you open an ETF VNQ the dates are a month to expire.

I fail to see how this is for small portfolios. What if you get assigned on one of your calls or outs that you wrote? Now we are talking about tens of thousands of dollars required to buy the underlying. If someone can makes sense of this for me that would be great!

For some reason im getting on robinhood this message "you can only select up to 1 option. if you want to build a strategy that's more than 1 option, you need to place separate orders.

Couldn’t you sell a put and buy a put $5 lower, then sell a CC at a strike price you are willing to let the stock go? This would cap your upside, and still provides protection on the downside while maximizing the premium you collect. Am I missing something?

Hey, I love your video. I do know about credit spreads, iron condor and option selling in general. My account blew up last year when I took my eye off the ball. There's only around $600 in there which I'd like to build up again. What stocks would you recommend for iron condors. Or maybe SPY?

question about selling options, do you have to have the money in your account in case they decide to exercise the option if you use the iron condor? like, in the Facebook example, I won't have the 40000$ for 100 Facebook stocks to sell if someone actually uses the contract, can I still use the method?
I’m not understanding why the buy call is higher than the sell call? Wouldn’t you want the buy call to be lower than a sell call, so that you can make a profit if it gets called away?
Mr. Henry. What platform are you using? I checked my trading platform and the Condors are already preset strike prices, even when adjusting the width of the spreads.

? I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the "why" with calls. I.e if I am watching XYZ from $2 a share to 3.50 in a months period and I expect it to go to $5 by the next 30 day cycle.... would I buy a long call for $7 or closer to the 3.50 price point it is already at?

Very Informative and easy to understand. Question - when you sell Puts to begin with don't your trader ask for "Cash security" against the Put selling? For large stocks like AMZN it is difficult to have large capital secured in your account
Not if you also buy a put, your broker will use your long put to cover the short put
Thanks for your educational video. How come you never talk and educate people about assignment risk in this kind of trading strategy. When you are buying in the money there is a very good chance that put sell side can be assigned to you. Its big risk which everybody must be aware of. You only talk about positive side of strategy. You must warn people about negative side also otherwise people specially beginner can lose money using. your strategy.
The sell call side is also a risk, typically we want to sell before expiry

The training is the video you watch. Naturally, there is an investment required to work with a large team of option experts guiding you to success, but just like everything else, you get what you pay for. At the end of the day, it’s not just about what the investment is but also what you get in return. Rather than continuing to search the internet trying to learn options from 10 different sources and not know what’s important and what’s not, with this program you’ll have access to everything in a centralized location, and learn from someone who has a proven track record of success. Think of the time saved and the compounding returns as you are able to win 8-9/10 trades and make 1% returns (at minimum) consistently each week. I’ve annualized 80% and show all results in spread sheet students follow. Results do vary but I have yet to see someone do poorly as I continue to beat the market every month. If you can’t invest in yourself then you shouldn’t be trading options. The most expensive mistake can be a misinformed trade. It will kill your confidence and your brokerage account.

I thought all four legs have the same expiration....at 13:04 all of a sudden we're in january for the call side? maybe the $5 call gap exists on the original date and you could have done it with amzn afterall?

Sorry to say but you are not revealing all the points. You are not saying that it's tough to close these types of complicated positions in Robinhood because not many people trade them.

Showed a 50$ spread coz ur default expiry showed is Jan 21, 2022 which was 6 months out
The problem is these orders are hard to fill. It may never get fill throughout the day.

I lost huge capital by trading iron condors in the first quarter in 2021.
There is a specific way of doing it.
@Invest with Henry what are the chances that you will be assigned on this type of transaction. Your explanation only shows the $ amount you might lose on one side. What if you get assigned on that side? what are the chances? are they lower then other simple strategies ex: selling cash secured Puts.
