I studied abroad in Osaka for a month in '08 and I fell in love with that city. I spent about 4 days in Tokyo at the end of my trip but didn't get to experience much there. It's definitely very different from Osaka, and I didn't like it much at the time, but I really do want to go back. And knowing there's an official Studio Ghibli store there is a big incentive 😁 I did go to the Ghibli museum, which was AMAZING 😍

I’m also in Japan for a trip! I LOVE Tokyo!!! I’m going to be back in February- but I never want to leave. I absolutely love this country and how beautiful it is. Everyone is so friendly as well! It’s truly a country that is extremely memorable and fun!
Always! It’s a gamble when you’re filming in public but I never want to disturb anyone else’s enjoyment of the space. Especially with kids running around having fun as they should! I recently taught myself a bit of key framing and it’s been changing what I’m able to do in editing, blur effects being a part of that. Never know when you’re going to be able to use those new skills 🥰

I really appreciate seeing that the store has so many items made from wood or metal rather than plastic, and a lot of them are useful items rather than just trinkets! the films often have a message of protecting the environment, it would be sad to see the merchandise go against that.

I'm with you! It's not bad enough for me that I can't watch them, but I 100% know what you mean. There are other shows that do that in a more extreme way, but yeah I always turn off Ghibli movies with a strange, inexplicable feeling of sadness.
I visited this store in May and I bought many things, they have a great selection of cute things 🤩🤩 for me better than at Ghibli museum store because in this one there were many more things from Spirited Away
I have loved your Japan series! I also visited Japan this year, in May. It was my first time. Did you leave Tokyo? If you didn’t, I highly recommend returning and seeing the country outside of the biggest city! There is so much more to see and do!

That's not how it goes with cats at all haha! Having offsping that heavily resemble one or the other of their animal parents is just a funny gag that movies often use, like lady and the tramp or treasure planet. With cats like Jiji and Lily you could end up with just about any coloured kitten, especially since it's impossible to tell whether Lily has red or black genes under her white fur. In all likelihood though most of them would be black and white cats, like tuxedo cats. Great video though, I'm going to japan soon and I will not be able to have your restraint hehe.

There were a few Arietty items in the Heroine’s closet section but I agree, truly not enough. Arietty is one of my top favourites!
