As a dortmund fan it hurts to see but its true and its better than being broke and in dept like we used to be
Must hurt cause you can't even get attachment to a player without thinking about them leaving
Heja BVB durch gute sowie schlechte Zeiten mein Beileid das du auch Fan bist 🖤💛🖤💛 schwarzgelbe Grüße
it probably hurts more to see players like bellingham and haaland and assume they will leave after their breakout season
@@dorasuncle2717 well you can it depends on the player i couldnt care less about dembele but everbody loved bellingham and we knew that he was going to leave
If you play for the badge and love the fans and the club
You get loved in return simple as that
But there's not going to be a next reus for some time i'm afraid
Maybe brandt if he sticks with us till he retires haha
@@luiscarrillo5954 well sancho hurted way more than both of them and haaland was like a mercenary for us imo
The longer they're here the more it hurts so it wasnt that bad for those two especially haaland
And in bellingham's case it hurts to see that somebody who loved the club is going to leave and the hole his departure tore is hugee
So basically Dortmund is an academy for most of european clubs where youth development is an objective ☕
You can say the same for Benfica too
@@mikail1999And Ajax
Dortmund is there to make people believe that Bayern have some competition
@@t-vizzletruest thing ive heard
It’s pretty sad.
Bundesliga and the Serie A are prime examples of this
Despite preforming just as good they don’t have as much money as LaLiga and the EPL.
So if clubs come looking for their superstars, not much they can do but try and convince their players to stay.
Even worse? If they end up flopping it’s the player’s fault
As a Benfica fan I can asure you that the cycle doesn't only exists in Dortmund
U guys atleast win the league lol
And brighton
@@emanuel6768Brighton literally only done it for a season and no Way near the title race
@@Blacknig69 true but for the premier league yes they are the farmers
@@cobaltskyee Bruh I mean no offense but Porto and Sporting arent really on the same level as Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile Reus being there the entire time 😢
Marco Reus has seen so much unfold in front of his own eyes 😂😂😂
Funny thing is if not for injuries,he’d have been sold as well
@@blues9561No he wouldn't. Many clubs were after Reus but it's not that Dortmund did not wanted him to leave, Reus didn't. He already said that he always dreamed about playing for Dortmund since he was a child because it's his favourite club.
@@jayer.many players have said that
@@blues9561nope, He could have gone to munich instead of BVB but He wanted to Go there from Gladbach and stay here Till now. At least one Player who want To Play/stayfor his childhood club. But without injuries he would be one of the best Players of the world without a doubt
Dortmund losing the title this season was the worst ways to bottle a league
dortmund bottle>arsenal bottle (in terms of bottling)
Yeah but I'm proud of them to even get up there. After being 6th in winter we should have never been there
That pen miss stings☹️
Own fault
But they weren't even leading it like Arsenal did for more than half a season.
Tbh it’s a good strategy from Dortmund cause it’s makes them financially stable for years and years but it’s one of the reasons why they don’t win the Bundesliga
The cycle can’t last forever though bc one team can and will jump them
One horse league
It’s good to be stable, but they will never reach glory by being stable. Or at least they should go out of their comfort zone.
@@EduardoScobar you have to be stable and get a good amount of finances to compete with the big teams. Dortmund is at least 15 Years behind Bayern in terms of finances.
Bundesliga isn‘t oil money infested PL where every club just get‘s injected with an unhealthy amount of money without any risk
In Bundesliga you actually have to work for the money you plan to spend
@@donleonard4446RB Leipzig will probably surpass them soon
Marco Reus is probably the most loyal footballer in German soccer history since he would've played in a lot of other good teams aside from injury
Hector left chat
Muller
@@Destructiveisback Well, it's easy to stay loyal when you are already at one of Europes top clubs. Not much reason to leave if you don't have to 😃
Its easy when Its a top tier club, but Reus did it for a pretty underwhelming club
When talented kids start playing regularly their value skyrockets. It's their club model.
That's why klopp deserves massive respect for what he did at dortmund. 👏
A brutal cycle! Don’t know how the fans handle it
Just gotta take a lot of copium.
I guess if you know that’s the plan you just stop getting attached to players since you know they will leave at some point
@@crisomii i enjoy every moment i get with them tbh. And when they make it big ive got a smile knowing that bvb helped them achieve greatness
@@lordpazo6784 does it ever get to a point where it’s like “when are we gonna try to push to win titles”?
@@crisomii it does brother. But we are the tottenham of germany. Its still better then being poor and in debt like in 2005
Reus is a real one he’s stuck with Dortmund his whole career, legend.
literally. he only went to monchengladbach because he had no choice, but after his great performance there he rejected bayern and rm just to wait for dortmund's offer.
Thank goodness for players like Marco Reus he’s single handedly been the heart of BVB
Klopp the only guy to break this for over a decade
?
Can't forget about Giovanni reyna
Crazy how Reus played with them all and still in the team
I think the next time Dortmund wins the league, this cycle will end. I feel like they are retaining their stars better. Disregarding Haaland and Bellingham of course.
Bellingham transfer was worth it .
At the end of the day Dortmund can do everything they can but if the player themselves want to leave they can’t stop that from happening. At the end of the day there are bigger clubs in Europe than Dortmund. Unlike football of the past ,where players were more loyal, players now have the power and pull to go to any club of their desires once they are good. If the player doesn’t want to stay at the club there’s virtually nothing the club can do. It happens and it sucks. I’ve been a Lyon supporter for years and every year our best players get sold. Even youth academy players. Just a constant cycle
@@caseydouglas412 they have financial issues . Due to France's TV rights .
Mkhitaryan such an underrated player
🇦🇲🐐
He was unbelievable at Dortmund. Crazy numbers!
My favvv. A lost start😢

i still remember the day i watched the mainz game. heartbreak like never before. i knew we were going to bottle it, but smth said "not this year" back and forth
haller mussed the fkin pen HOW COULD HE😭😭😭😭
@@Bruh-wm7ciit happens. If haller didn’t recover that fast we couldn’t even come close to this title race. It is upsetting but we have to accept it. This coming season we can make it
@@barschausdernachbarschaft1581nah you just won 1-0 lucky Bayern dominated Leipzig are contenders and better than you rn
i feel like this is a problem not talked about enough in modern football. teams like dortmund benfica or ajax just can’t compete with the wealthier clubs. their best players always go to the same clubs, either a top 6 side in england or madrid barca bayern or psg
gotta join dortmund now 😂
thats the problem with clubs that dont have endless money they cant break the cycle. leicester city is a great example. they have great recruitment and such amazing recruitment that they won the league yet even they couldn't continue this without endless streams of money coming in, one small or big thing can topple everything that has been built (e.g. Covid for leicester)
But they have being making money for a while. Like they should be capable of surviving and at the same time compite. Like they sell so well they should invest their money well to compite, but they always do it to sell again which honestly is boring. Milan is doing something similar and other clubs as well.
Leicester's fault was due to an overconfidence in the finances of its owners. They spent a ton of money building a new training ground and signing expensive players, but COVID-19 caused their owners to face massive losses (since the primary business of the owners was in duty-free shops in airports), which in turn caused the club's finances and transfers to grind to a halt. Leicester will come back again for sure after they get promoted.
Bro Dortmund has developed a lot player that are now considered top of the world, thats impressive!
Bynoe-Gittens is a baller. Needs much more game time
He's good but not starting level yet
@@redchampion maybe next year

Rues is a true legend
So many great players came through Dortmund: Sancho, Haaland, Isak, Lewandowski, Weigl, Dahoud, Bellingham, Mkhitaryan, Hummels, Gotze, Kagawa, Sven Bender, Aubameyang, Pulisic, Gundogan, Dembele, Witsel
I'm starting to think that this "Dortmund Cycle" is their Business model actually.
I just watched dortmund moving up to the ucl final and this video popped up
In a few years, Borussia Dortmund will be able to retain their players and win more titles. The history of their success is still relatively young at Dortmund.
That’s what happens when you have a business plan and execute it to perfection
It’s great. But at least try to compete for titles.
Thats just their strategy. Same as Ajax. It just makes it hard to compete against Bayern, but they showed this year that it could be possible.
Damn, if this keeps on, they may become the German equivalent of Ajax, Benfica, etc. a fallen king reduced to nothing but academy club
they already are like that
It already happens.
I'm a big fan of Dortmund (3rd favorite club) and how they develop young talent. Them, Ajax, Feyendord, Stades, Porto. .. they are great at development. Its a triumph already, having made the finals. They just cant afford to hold talent when bigger clubs call.
But reus showing his loyalty 😢
Dortmund like shit we losing all these players but shit now we rich ass fuck
They've got one of the best business plans in football.
Dortmund is nothing but a Scouting Academy for the whole UEFA. 😂
its bad for Dortmund but I applaud every AJAX/ benfica fans cause i swear they have a completley new squad every 2/3 years
honestly, i wish we can sell karim and donnie for lots of money. they are talented, yet not consistent enough. naming them in one sentence with jude or jadon is a joke, tbh.
Now ucl finalists.
We have to sell them for a big fee before we lose them on a free, because they almost never extend their contract after its up, and some players like Dembele an Auba force a move by their behavior
Dortmund is a youth centre they grow players then sell them
Saudi Arabia is the opposite tho they are a retirement home for footballers
Aged badly 😂
dam@@eavyeavy2864
As a manchester united fan i wish they wouldve kept a hold of kagawa really gutting to see how his club career turned out after playing for us
Dortmund is just a talent seller.
This Happens to every Club wich is good, but Not in the top class(Like Bayern, Barca, big 6)
Yes, this is true
Your forgetting gio Reyna as well
That's the same for a lot of not so big not so little clubs. Like Monaco, LOSC, OL in L1.
Unfortunately that's also the case in Liga Portugal, with Sporting, Benfica and Porto selling all their best players but then still don't buy good players 😶🇵🇹
If Dortmund didn't sell their best players as much they'd probably be a top 5 club.
Idk why so many players turn down the opportunity to play there... Ive been to plenty of stadiums from different clubs & different leagues but Dortmund is just different & the support is just so insane i dont see how they cant hold onto guys
Adeyemi is one of my favourite players I hope he gets a big transfer where he will play regularly
Dortmund, Benfica, Ajax. Top 3 scouting promising players.
they are the best starter club for future stars like sancho gundoan lewandowski bellingham and pullisic
You've just described every club in Europe apart from 4 or 5.
11 months after this video: ucl final😂
Same can be said for Brighton and Benfica
Same happens with Benfica and Sometimes Porto
Very sad great youngsters
At least we know how to actually develop talent unlike the big euro clubs
It hurts 😢
Same thing was with arsenal
Untill 2018
All good. I think Kehl is moving away from that strategy a bit and selling players for more than you bought them is the nature of the business.
But I do think they’re getting closer to young players playing for 5 years in the BVB shirt as opposed to 3. And instead of 17-19 year old sure things the recruitment seems to be focusing on 20-22 year olds who haven’t quite kicked on 100% yet but have the upside to reach their potential.
Im cautiously optimistic that BVB will become a better football team in the near future, albeit not as exciting. I’m ok with that.
Plot twist: them not clinching the title is what keeps the money coming in😅
Marco reus watching this happen
This man needs to hit K likes and a million subscribers 🫶 he’s just fantastic
Because dortmund doesn't have a lot of money It's impossible to hold these players. Espacially because loyalty isn't a thing for football players anymore
If I were a young prospect and I had a choice where to go it would 100% be the dortmound youth program
Basically it’s either make a crap load of money on stars for the future or keep them and potentially lose money on having them long term and potentially coming top 4 rather than first. They probably make a good amount of money if young stars that come in for a few seasons people buy their shirts and then when they leave the cycle continues.
Sancho is there star now fr
As an Ajax fan, I can also see the cycle here 😭
this happens to all clubs that have great scouting, but lack the financil resources to keep up with the elite tams in europe. the good thing about it is that talented players are more likely to sign with such clubs because it is an opportunity to improve, get time on the field and go to an elite club as a future star. if you go to a big club ti early you will just sit on the bench, if you go to a smaller club you're not playing CL and get less attention
You forgot to mention that half of them return once they're old. 😂
hummels is a funny case. he was a bayern academy player, got promoted, loaned to dortmund then they signed him, went to bayern, and came back to dortmund.
Who remembers nuri sahin!!
At some point clubs like Dortmund, ajad, benefica, etc will have enough money to retain their players. At whiwmch point I think we will see a shift in European football power ⚖️
Dortmund needs to retain players
It’s almost like good players want to play for top clubs and get paid good money.
And one man standup MARCO REUS
and guerrero too 😢
If this team is able to hold his talent they could have won Champions league and dominate the world of football, but their main goal is to make profit from their young talents. I am sure they probable have the best scouts out there.
It's choice of players rather earn more money than staying in the team like Reus. Real loyalty is just shown by a few, like Lahm who always stayed in Munich, given the chance to play with Messi or in Madrid. So pity, if you think a few millions should be already enough money.
MARCO REUS is the most loyal to borussia dortmund
Akanji left the chat
Nothing more frustrating than being a BVB fan
spurs fan: 💀
I may be a Bayern Fan wince 13 Years but my Sister is a Dortmund Fan
I refused to celebrate when we won the League last Season by Musiala, cause of her
Marco Reus is the glitch in the matrix
Nah Kobel will be
Bynoe-Gittens, will defo leave in the future he's just too good
Lewandowski started that cylce. Instead of keeping good players that don't want a new contract and then letting them go for free they sell them for 60m+ Euros to other clubs and buy 3 more talents for that money who will also be sold for 60m+ Euros.
The thing in the Bundesliga is that Bayern have endless money due to their excellent marketing presence, their image and of course Uli Hoeneß. The way Dortmund does it is the only way that any Bundesliga club will eventually catch up to the Bayerns level. They won't be an academy club forever, but it is currently the best way to bridge this gap.
They let Lewy leave because they thought they didn't need him. In the end they lost the with lewy and the league title forever - dortmund started that cycle themselfs, not Lewy.
@@xplurales1138hat's bullshit they didn't think they don't need him. Where did you get that nonsense from? He refused to sign a contract extension so bayern could get him on free, bvb wanted him to stay. Don't spread fake news
Guerreiro too
Best scouts in the world tho
Pulisic was a bench player in Dortmund
It’s a business model and they’re not the only ones. Crewe, dortmund, Ajax…it’s not unique. Even Chelsea did it by buying up a lot of younger players
their best player now is gio reyna. if he can stay healthy he'll be the next transfer out.
Bro most smaller clubs in Europe go through similar issues. Not just Dortmund lol. I’ve been a Lyon supporter since 2006. And all I’ve seen is star after star leave and then we are right back to square one.
This cycle has been happening to the entire Eredivisie league way longer than it started for Dortmund tbh
Adayemi, Moukoko and Malen will 100% be swooped up in a few years
You gotta feel for Dortmund fans😭
There are many more clubs who this happens to. E.g. Ajax, Benfica (and sometimes Sporting CP).
You don‘t understand the consepet of dortmund transferpolitiks. This Circle is to bring in good talents who needs to Make the next step Dortmund is exactly This Club and for example benfica Same Thing
Buy cheap and sell big
And Dortmund is a joint-stock company
