TFS. I will be making a garden plan this year too. I think it’ll make a big difference. I have so many things on my “need to buy” list. But of course everything won’t be possible to get due to finances. Some of what I have on my wishlist is a new long handle spray wand. I had one last season that was wonderful but it BROKE after a few months of use. Another item I need is some kind of hat with a protective net so that I can protect my face and head from mosquito bites. For some reason or another, the mosquitos attack me as soon as I go into the garden. It’s terrible. Last year my entire face, ears and neck were covered in bites. My last 2 wishlist items are a pair of waterproof garden shoes and a good quality pruning shears. I’m hoping and praying my budget will allow me to. Thank you for all that you share Barbara. It’s been so encouraging to those of us who were discouraged after our first attempts at gardening. Thanks to you, my garden last year was much better than my first. ❤❤❤❤
I have been gardening (in a community garden)for 3 years, and this is the second year that I have made a garden plan. It was a game changer for me. It makes it so easy on transplant days. This has been an eye-opener, Barbara. Thanks for sharing. Be blessed
I buy myself one greenstalk planter every year for Mother’s Day. They can be pricey but they are typically on sale then. Don’t ask me how I’ve been able to keep track of my ONE waterproof garden marker pen. I’m ordering another one as backup after watching this 😊
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for the “let’s get started tips. I found the old or new vinyl mini-blinds work for me as plant tags(cut to about 3-4 inch pieces)😊
Great ideas. I will check out bootstrap farmer. I use the solo cups, tin foil trays at and Saran Wrap 😂 and it is a bit of pain but it’s cheap and I can get more soil lol. I’m sorting my seeds and putting them in a binder. Sharpies are on my list. I have the wooden sticks that look like the tongue depressors to label the plants. I bought ten yards of cheap tulle for the bugs. I need grow lights. I bought the cheap ones. My hubby would be right there with your hubby getting the good ones 😂
These were some really great tips! Thank you. I’m with you on it adding up. I had to decide between trellises and eggs. I ended up using the garden stakes and just making a makeshift trellis using garden twine…because eggs; and building a garden is costly. Worth it, but definitely costly.
I am wondering about planting some onions now 🤔. I live in New Jersey due to the weather keep changing will this be a good idea to order and plant them now while the soil is workable? I am thinking about onions set not seeds. What do you think? This year I'll be not be planting as much as last year. I am looking at potatoes, beans & peas that I saved, okra and maybe something else if I change my mind. Limit it to focus more on quality than quantity.
I am not familiar with your climate and when you should plant onions. I order mine from Dixondale Farms and they have a schedule on their website I think. I plant in mid March and that is about 4-6 weeks before my last frost date.

Do you need a heating mat or grow lights if your trays are in house
Yes you do for better germination.

Good video. I tried to go to your site and it didn't work. I copied it directly from above.
Where did you purchase your pots?
