Good to see your recovering well, skin grafts suck ive had one. Makes me glad I didn't bin my old blade this year the reality of the damage is heart wrenching, Stay positive dude, you'll be out there again soon i'm sure👍
Tommy ,what about as well of the QR CODE thing, set up a just giving page where you pay for your name on the bike , helmet , front or back where ever for different amounts. There are loads of guys and ex racers who have smashed there bikes up would help with a bit!!! Great channel bud good luck!! Make it a link so it’s easy.
Hey! I have a supporters club and at the beginning of each season people help me out for names on my bike / gazebo :) I didn’t want to do the same thing twice in one year 😅 thanks for the kind comment
Snapped triple tree, insane bearing impressions on the race, hole in the frame. That frame is buggered. If the bearing races took enough force to snap the tube and impression the race, it definitely knocked the holes out of round and square. Find a rod or metal tube the same size as the inner diameter of the bearing races and slip it through. If it doesnt drop through easily then your headstock is not fixable.
I’m pursing a new frame first as getting my bike to motoliner and getting it checked will cost around £500. If i can’t get a frame for reasonable money I will try my look with a repair.
Wow, soon adds up don't it!! Hell of an off though. This was a Jackson racing bike I believe so give Alan a call, he's very helpful with Fireblade bits.
Unlucky Tommy. Suppose that's the issue now with the price of bikes, absolutely extortionate if you want the most competetive bike. Hope you manage to get everything sorted!
Horrible to see buddy but glad you're ok, shame about the state of the bike, but it can be repaired and no doubt you'll have it looking just as good in no time.
Your better off buying another 24 blade race bike if funds allow & build this up when you more parts are available over the next year or so if funds allow
Unfortunately, this could happen to anyone on track at any level, once they dig in they're in lucks hands. I always seem to hold onto them if i low side and stop them flipping, but probably puts me at greater risk. Hope you get it sorted Tommy. Honestly, if the frame is straight, that hole could well be repaired. I'd speak to motorliner or similar?
Yep, i always try to keep a hold of them too, I kept hold of this one for a good way but when it dug in there was nothing I could do. Holding on meant I crashed my R6 at craner a couple years ago and only missed one session 😂 I am waiting for motoliner to get back to me, see what they say about the video I sent. I don’t want to de-value the bike either but everybody knows motoliner so hopefully wont affect the value too much.
Better than clicking dislike 😀 Exactly right, the 24 blade has a different frame and engine to the earlier bikes amongst some other smaller changes. I can’t afford to buy a new one, sponsors own this bike. Hopefully I can get some parts below retail to make it manageable 🤞
Hey mate! Yes it’s a 24 bike, the engine and frame are different to the previous fireblades which means I can’t buy a donor bike to repair this one. We now know what caused the crash but I can’t say anymore just yet.
For that kind of money, I would buy another bike and part that out. I bought a new BMW S1K for just a few thousand more than the price of your rebuild.
Yeah that would be a good way to go but the 24 bike is quite different to the previous bikes. Frame and engine being the biggest changes. 24 bikes are still hard to come by 2nd hand.
Thanks for the video your positivity is inspiring glad you’re okay to race another day. Wishing you all the best in the future.
Thanks for the comment! Hope you enjoyed the video 😃

bless you mate , hope you get better soon and everything mends
Cheers Abi!

Thankyou, I have spoke to Alan and awaiting prices. The total bill for the rebuild will mot be cheap 🙈
Have you tried speaking with Dave from Obsession Engineering. He may have some used parts from Francos bike?
I haven’t but good idea. Could have yokes and subframe. Thankyou!
@@TommyFielding i can bet any BSB team would give you stuff if the parts are "too used"
I best make some enquiries as I need a lot of parts 😢
The damage is mental mate, lost for words really.
So am I, more to it as well unfortunately now investigations have taken place. Can’t really say anymore.
Unlucky Tommy. Suppose that's the issue now with the price of bikes, absolutely extortionate if you want the most competetive bike. Hope you manage to get everything sorted!
Yep, a fortune. The 24 bike has a different frame and engine as well as a few smaller bits which makes matters worse.
Horrible to see buddy but glad you're ok, shame about the state of the bike, but it can be repaired and no doubt you'll have it looking just as good in no time.
Thanks for the comment mate! I’m looking forward to get back to it, just need my arm to get a little more resilient so no huge rush just yet :)
hi can you share a link for the hrc 2024 fairing.
I got mine from Jackson Racing
Your better off buying another 24 blade race bike if funds allow & build this up when you more parts are available over the next year or so if funds allow
Unfortunately i’m not in that position but would certainly be the easiest option.
Also try Hicken at Hawk Racing…
I will do, thankyou

Sorry to see this, hard to click
“Like” Is it cost effective to rebuild, being a new bike there’s not a lot of used stuff around!
Better than clicking dislike 😀

Gutted for you mate
Would buying a 2021-22 doner
bike be better ? and then sell the bits you don’t need ?
Thanks for the comment mate. Unfortunately not, the 24 bike is different to all the other blades which makes getting parts quite difficult.
@@TommyFielding arrr shame I thought the 2024 only had mainly Engine changes 🤦🏻
Hope get sorted soon Buddy
@@martindunning364 thankyou :)
Not just better off getting a used road bike and swapping the parts over leaving you with a good spares package including engine?
There aren’t any 24 bikes for sale on the 2nd hand market I don’t think but you could be right if the right bike could be sourced.
I thought the damage would be about £10k!!! Is it a ‘24 bike? Have you figured out what caused the crash yet?
Hey mate! Yes it’s a 24 bike, the engine and frame are different to the previous fireblades which means I can’t buy a donor bike to repair this one. We now know what caused the crash but I can’t say anymore just yet.

That’s mangled
It is :(
You should add crypto as a donation choice.
Not sure how to even go about that 😅
