I see a very select few have miss understood this video. So let me try and explain. For them, and for myself. Its not about the high end products. Its the metaphor. Nothing was given to me in my life for free. I had to work for everything. At one point in my life i had 3 jobs at one time. During my late 20's and very early 30s i did't go "out" (pubs, clubs, etc...) for two plus years because i knew i needed to save, to plan what i wanted. I realised when my mother was surrounded in bills that the fairy god mother didn't exist. That no one was going to save us and that we had to save ourselves. Its not about the money, or high end products, its about finding your passion. Finding what makes your heart sing. For me, it was makeup. Not the products, the job. Doing what you love. Thats the key. Finding what makes your heart sing. Then trying to find a way of making that into a living.
The amount of respect and admiration I have for you is endless. It's all about remembering where you came from so you can plan where you are going. My family didn't have much when I was growing up either and my mom worked 10 hour days, 6 days a week. We didn't get the "extra" stuff, everything was second hand usually. Now that I am in my mid 30s and I still see my mom work that hard I do whatever I can for her. And I also indulge in those little extras for myself because I earned it and damn, that feels amazing!! Sending you lots of love from the States!!
"I still don't really know what I'm doing with my life, but I love what I do, and that makes me happy. And I truly believe that when you love what you do, the money will follow." -Wayne Goss. This should be a Ted talk. Look at how radiant he is when he is talking about makeup 😍
+Wayne Goss you should never have to explain to others why you do what you do and you should never apologise to others for your success. We love you and support you till the end Wayne! I have no money. But I know the day I become successful your brushes are the first brushes I will turn to. Till then, my fingers will do. But I will never resent you for having what I don't have. There's bombs and guns killing people in this world.. There's far too much hatred. A little bit of kindness is what I think we all need. All my love, and warm hugs!
Hi there I came across this video just by chance and you totally inspired me. I am 48 and have not left my house for 6 years as I have acrophobia. After watching this video I started to buy some makeup online and learn how too use it. I felt that if I could do this I could boost my self esteem and try too brave the outside world. Today I left my house absolutely terrified and went to to my daughters house to meet my new granddaughter. This was such an achievement for me and such a blessing. I know you may never see this comment out of the thousands you get but just on the of chance that you do I want to thankyou from the bottom of my heart you have litualy changed my life. Thankyou for all your videos and I really hope you see this you are my hero keep up the great work 👏
Thank you for sharing. x Your authenticity really makes you stand out. Your passion and compassion is what makes a true artist. Not high end products. You should use you Mum as your next model.x
Thanks so much for this video!! I'm a single mother of 3 kids and I'm literally in my room crying because I don't know what to do anymore....and it just fills me with hope to know that if I dont give up my kids will have a better future
Same. Really hoping that things change once I graduate college. I am really happy my children are so young and don't understand how much we don't have.
+Tara Marinara My husband and I are in the same boat. I'm disabled but can't get disability and he works his but off 12-14 hours a day. We are both in our 50's and him trying to find a better paying job is impossible. I know employers are not supposed to discriminate due to age, but they do. We're just about to lose our house. Praying that things get better for both of us.
As the CEO of a therapeutic foster care agency, I can only pray that the children in our agencies care will grow to be as soulful, determined and successful as you are. Knowing your passion and having an incredible work ethic to get to where you want to be is truly the ultimate success. So encouraging to hear your story and thank you for sharing it with all of us. You used your life situations and struggles to grow.
+Wayne Goss you made me cry with your stoy, what i love about those stories is that when you work hard you have a chance to do what you love, when you live in a country like mine, you have to be rich in order to be richer(sorry for my english),my story is so sad that i don't wanna remember it,iam 35,married,two kids, and i can't do what i want till now,i am so happy for you,and thanks for sharing, you're a good person.
Beautiful story... my mom was/is a warrior like yours was... much the same story growing up. Hardest memory: my mom always pushing us to eat but saying she wasn't hungry. One evening I went into the kitchen as she was trying to open a bottle of baby formula... she just put her head on the counter and said "I'm so weak"... I was only about 5. That broke me. I'll never forget how when she noticed me she acted like nothing was wrong. From then on I knew what it took for her to keep us going. Now that I'm doing a ton better she lives with me in my cute Manhattan townhouse and I spoil her as best I can.
Wayne, I NEVER comment on videos. I watch your videos often. I just want you to know how much I adore you. I originally started watching you because of the Clinique products you reviewed. I'm a counter manager at Clinique. You inspire me and I value your opinion. I can't tell you how many times I've repeated something you said while doing someone's make up! lol You are a beautiful person
Wayne Goss thank you for the inspiration. I believe that you were always "rich" with love and kindness. Blessed with a what sounds like a great mum. I'm a survivor of kidnapping, I to was blessed with life! I don't tell anyone about that but you gave me the strength to say it here. I hope I'm doing everything right now and because of this channel. You have no idea how powerful you are! To help me come out of hiding for the first time ever. I'm 37 and it took me 34 years to say that.Thank you so much. I think I can now truly live now. Doing makeup was my passion as well since I was a little girl it was the only way to express myself without being seen I guess. I've been watching since 2012 and now I'm stronger watching you be so honest with everyone helped me to be honest with myself. I am who I am because of my life. I'm sorry to ramble on but the emotions are just pouring out. your awesome Wayne!
I am a woman edging toward the 70 mark and I absolutely adore you and appreciate all you to offer and you deserve to make a life (aka making money) that brings you joy. What a wonderful gentleman, inside and out :-).
Sassy fla, I’m so with you. Never hear of this interesting and taletened man but I’ve learned so much.. the products are lovely, his talent can be used from them, but I can use his techniques with mine. Thanks for sharing people.👏👏👏
I am 72 and still fighting aging and love all your videos. So much wisdom and instruction about growing old gracefully with cosmetics. I recommend you to all my senior divas. No problem with the high end products, I can afford them now!😉
I...have no words. Inspiring. Realistic. Beautiful :') the high end items you have surrounding are not because you're snobby or because they're better. They're achievements. You earned it all. You HAVE been blessed with skills. You're a fantastic make up artist, an honest reviewer, a lovely and realistic and passionate and strong man. Anyone watching your videos can see how passionate you get. About your make up, about the man on the bus. You're an inspiration :') and you made me cry haha!
I’m watching this 3 years after you posted it and I just want to say I love your honesty in all things. You’re a consummate professional and gentleman. 💕
Words can't explain the amount of respect of I've got for you, your kind heart, your achievements and wishes...I hope the best of the bests comes up in your life
Ok, I’m still playing catch-up on You Tube. I love this man! What an incredible, passionate, and truthful guy. Thank you fir sharing your story. Ironically, I just a set of your brushes two days ago. I am happy to be supporting you and what you do for a living. You love it, I love it and I’m so glad I find wearing makeup fun again! Thank you! If you read ANY of my messages on old posts, please let me know at least once.
You are amazing and you owe no one any explanations. You do what makes you happy. High end products though expensive provide jobs for many people and keep food on their tables. If you can't afford them or feel they are an extravagance, don't by them but don't go about guilt tripping anyone else. God bless you and your mother and thank you for being a great son.
Yes!!!! We live now in an era where we've some individuals feel like they MUST share all. They don't think before they type, in this case. You don't go around to someone's face and disrespect them --- well, maybe they do. I'm surprised as to how we've "evolved". A post Social media era is a very judgmental one. (I'm sure people said similar things before social media... Like we would make comments, but we made it just to our friends and done. Moving on it. It was just a chat with one person. None is this bashing and entitlement.) okay. I'm done. Moving on. I'm doing the exact same thing I am complaining about.
I've watched your videos in silence - never commenting. Many times I've watched them over and over. :-) I enjoy your camera presence, your techniques, and your tips. As you said, if you want something, you have to make it happen yourself. Bravo darling! You do you. Don't let random comments from strangers bring your wonderful personality down. :-)
I feel you, Wayne. I grew up in a tiny town in the Midwest/US and we were not dirt poor but there was not much extra. When I moved to Washington, DC, at 18 for a Government job, I was so poor that I looked at a fast food restaurant with longing because I couldn't afford to eat there. I worked my ass off for 37 years (and never took a dime from my parents, by the way, because they didn't have it to give). I am now comfortably retired and living at the beach, and I completely understand how being able to afford the things you want feels so good...and accomplished..
I am exactly where you are here. This made me cry. I have my nail art brushes and I am selling them myself and this gives me hope wayne. Thank you for this story....i just said IM GONNA DO THIS yesterday again. You are NOT alone and joy is real. Your wink alone has inspired me during very dark times. thank you for your honesty and beauty. *huge love*
You invest in quality products to give the best quality in your work ; as a chef I would like the freshest produce to make a dish. And high standards of clients expect high end results and products to be used. And you can spend your money however you want you earnt it. Viewers can you not find dupes to the products wayne uses ? Or just use his techniques with what you already have?
You're welcome , I enjoy your videos alot always have. After college I'd used to go into debenhams and just use samples before I met with my boyfriend , now 8 yrs and fiancè, but there is a vast difference between High end and high street. And you can appriciate both , it's how you use it at the end of the day and how you feel. :) have a great day ♡
I honest to god did not expect a reply, likes or a ♡ from the handsome make up artist I follow daily. You know I'm screen shooting , printing it to put above my vanity desk right ? :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I've never seen this side of you. It only has me respecting you even more. I knew their was something special about you when I found your videos 6-7 years ago and subscribed. I've learned a lot from you. Thank You.
Your story makes me want to purchase your brushes even more. I feel the same way, you do it on your own and no one can take it away or change or anything! I was raised middle class but my grandparents were Italian immigrants that worked for everything they owned so it was instilled in me as a child. My grandfather started delivering groceries at 13 in a horse drawn cart and went on to own three grocery stores and died a millionaire.
"I'm still dreaming, I'm still thinking of what I'm gonna do with my life, because I still don't really know what I'm doing with my life" I know that's not what the video is about, but this line caught me. Hearing a grown up man (I have no idea how old you are lol), who seems to have found his way into life, saying that he's not sure about what he's doing with it, feels kind of relieving to me. I'm 22 and I'm in despair because I also don't know what I'm doing with mine. It makes me think that we will never be really sure and that's what life is about. It's like your path is made as you walk. Thank you so much, Wayne. :)
I'm 38 darling :) Wanna know what i think. Stop thinking about what you want to do with your life and think about what you would like to do today if you could do anything, what would it be? What would make you really happy? Maybe that might be the perfect vocation :) xxxxxxx
Wayne, what you said about the possibility of change gave me chills, you hit the nail on the head! I feel the same,it makes you feel good, you enjoy it and you work hard-YOU DESERVE IT! Good on you,and much respect for your honesty-love you more now❤️
Wayne, my dear, you light up my life with your passion. Every successful entrepreneur embraces the 3 D's: Desire, Determination and Disciple. Obviously you have figured this out! Never change and "Go out and change this world." God Bless you!! Nancy
I'm not much into makeup, but I've been following you for a number of years, because your stoicism and positive outlook on life is contageous! You inspire me to follow my dream, which is travelling. Pure love and light to you!
Please don't apologize for reviewing and loving high-end products. I only use luxury makeup/skincare and I'm sick and tired of all the You Tube "gurus" promoting drug-store products which I would never use on my face. They are pandering to the fact that many of the viewers are only able to afford drug store products - that's fine (I was once there myself) but every video? No. I love the fact that YOU give me reviews on the luxury products because no one else does and I trust your opinions. Plus I just love you and your brushes and your stories. Thank you!! You're a hero and have a lot of courage. Pat yourself on the back.
I've been watching some of your old videos recently and you have changed, but these are the changes I see. You are more beautiful - you have obviously lost some weight, but your skin looks amazing now as well, and you glow. The way you present has changed, you are much more comfortable in front of the camera now and you come across as more confident and at ease. I find this inspiring. I have been holding back from starting a couple of channels because I compare myself to confident people like yourself, but looking back at your early videos I can see this is something you have grown into as you've done it and I love that.
My twelve year old daughter is sitting beside me listening to this while drawing. Your speech is very inspiring. You should go into schools and share your story about having a goal, dreams and finding something that brings you joy and the money will come. Love your line....I never thought I can't do this.....I only thought I can't do this yet!......very powerful thought processes there.
I've been watching you for so long now. You always make me feel so welcome, and comfortable... I never feel like I have to hide behind makeup to feel pretty, I now feel like I can use makeup to enhance my features. I am proud of you for sharing this story and for taking the time to help all of us feel beautiful in our own skin. I can relate so much to your story. Xo hugs.
You're such awesome sauce Wayne! I've finally decided to leave nursing after almost 9 years and do what I love: BAKING! And I'm starting right here in my apartment, and nobody's gonna stop me! Thank you for you story.......first Alfie Deyes, and now you with the inspirational videos today! Wow.
Who cares what other people spend their money on? If you don't want high end stuff, don't buy it! Just enjoy watching Wayne review it! I'll never buy high end stuff, like damn I feel hard done by buying £12 foundation once a month so I enjoy seeing what high end products are like because I'll never see them or own them myself.
That's exactly my approach watching all these TH-camrs. I'm never going to be able to afford the high end brands but then again I love knowing what's out there. I was introduced to Wayne through NYMag and he has a lot of great technique. You're comment and positivity are spot-on!
Here in the States, we get 1-2x a year sale special on high end products, so I love saving up my pennies and watching Wayne so that I can know which products to buy! And BTW you are right - $12 foundation once a month is a LOT!
High end make up is ridiculously pricy where I live, but I don't mind not being able to buy it. Whatever product a person is using I don't care! If I like the look I would recreate it with whatever I've got! it forces you to be creative and that feels good!
a lot of people will probably relate with your story and will definitely consider this very inspirational. Wayne is not just a makeup guru but a life guru too in my opinion. I love you Wayne.
This is a very touching and emotional video. Thank you very much for being so inspirational, Wayne! You make us happy - wish you all the happiness in the world in return! x
I grew up the same way, my mom worked factory work ,would come home and soak her swollen fingers, I hated to see my mom hurt, we had no money, we lived in a basement, with borrowed furniture. So it took a long time ,but I did my best to help my Mom. I finally bought her a house, not any big deal ,but she had always rented, she was happy. That was in 1997, and she passed away in her home in 2002.
Thank you for sharing your story. I am 78 years old and I still want to look as good as I can. Thank you for helping me. I hope you continue to speak and live your truth. When you are my age and look back at your life you will know you lived with integrity. Never be afraid to love who you are.
Thank you for opening ur self to the public u didn’t have to explain, you are a wonderful and beautiful human being and your mother most be so so proud of you I’ve been watching your videos all the amazing things you do I’m grateful for you please don’t ever change and no matter what keep doing what you do this crazy world need amazing people like you . Many blessings.
I haven't ever had money either so when a friend of mine gave me a bunch of clothes with high-end labels, I was in heaven! When I feel those fabrics against my skin, I feel like I've jumped up a few classes! In truth, there is a reason these products are high-priced. There is a quality to them. I purchased a $400 face cream once and everywhere I went people commented on how good my skin looked. Wayne, thank you for sharing your personal story of success; it's inspirational!!
I adore you. Everything about you. such a darling soul. I have this feeling if change every time I buy a product. Expensive and cheap ones. Then I come home and watch how to apply them the best. I'm newly sober and celebrating 10 months in a week. My new makeup and contouring tips from TH-cam helped propel my sobriety and give me that changing way of life I can in my mirror. It gets me out if bed every morning and gives me a reason to love every day. You had a lot to do with that. THANK You
You once again touched my heart deeply Wayne. 😢 I literally just watched your other video tonight where you mentioned you were very lonely & you often reflect on what used to be. I only found you on TH-cam about a month ago, but I sensed from watching you only once that you’re very unique & so honest. You’re so kind & reflect love/inspiration. Look at you, even talking about makeup you reach people on entirely different level. I actually got teared up tonight, as I could literally FEEL what you were expressing in this very open hearted video. I truly thank you & appreciate you. I knew the 1st time I watched you that you have a good heart. It shows so strongly in many ways. Keep being YOU. Much love.
You are an inspiration to millions of people, Wayne. I relate to so many parts of your story. What I love most about you is your humility and talent. So many of us look up to you as an admirable human being. People like you are a pleasure to learn from, in more ways than just make up.
its like me rn.My mum is disabled and after my dad left when i was 3 we had no financial support.Right now we live off benefits but we can't really afford much because my mum can't work -she used to be able to but she got abused by my dad until it caused her to be severely ill physically and mentally. When i was younger i went weeks without dinner or real meals because my mum couldn't make food so i'd eat snacks and live off little things which caused me to be deficient and very frail and weak.I'd come back from school and automatically turn off and pass out sleeping because i had no nutrients. Now im working hard and im in my last years of high school, obv i know its not guaranteed but im hoping to have good enough results to apply and get accepted to Ox bridge universities. Loved this video i could really relate.
Trust me dear, you can make it! I remember being depressed as a child for being poor, now I'm a university graduate. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep going!
When you work for all you get, you appreciate it more. So many ways your life could have gone. You have made great chooses to get where you are. If so many more people would make better chooses. What a great inspiration you are!

I feel so identified with what you said in this video. My mom can't give me money to buy make up and she works really hard for giving me all that I need. And I feel so fucking happy when I can buy high end make up. I really know what you're trying to say in this video and I want to be a make up artist too. You're such an inspiration to me. Thank you Wayne
Thank you for sharing. But remember never be ashamed or feel you have to give explanations about your success. You lived it you superceded the hard times. Don't look back and never feel ashamed of ALL of your accomplishments. 😘
I feel like your passion and joy for what you do is infectious and it comes out. People feel that and that's what makes people drawn to your videos. You didn't owe anyone an explanation, but I'm jealous that you've always known what your passions were and are making things happen. You inspire me to want to delve deeper so I can finally realize my dreams. I'm happy for you. You SHOULD be proud!
What a nice heartfelt story. You explained it perfectly. I've really enjoyed finding your channel and can't wait to watch them all. I'm sure your Mom is so proud of you.
I strongly identify with this so much. I grew up so poor that sometimes we didn't even eat. There was never any extra money and if there was, it went to whatever my selfish Father wanted. I am not a make up artist but, I am deeply passionate about it in a way I can't even explain. Coming from nothing and working my ass off to buy a beautiful vanity I've wanted since I was a little girl and having a make up collection of high end AND drugstore makes me feel wonderful. Sitting at that vanity every day and doing my make up is where I am most happy. It is not superficial. It is not greed or trying to show off when I post my new Lorac palette on Instagram. It is the pride I feel knowing that I got all of these things I would just look at and swatch at Sephora never thinking for a moment that I would own such beautiful things. The best part is knowing that I accumulated my collection on my own from hard work and my passion for the art of make up. Some people just do not understand and the ones that do, know exactly what I mean. Thank you for sharing this with us. You touched my heart and I'm sure many, many more. Much love and respect from California. 💖💄
OH darling. I understand everything you just said. Everything. Years and years ago, there was this cardigan. A white big thick cardigan i wanted. I couldn't' afford it. But i wanted it so badly. It just made me feel happy seeing it. I saved for that cardigan. I eventually bought it. It no longer fits and is ruined. But i still have it. It still makes me happy when i see it. You seem like a wonderful person, thank you for sharing your story. And believe me i can relate to so much of what you mentioned, hence my only speaking about my mother on this video xxxxx
+Wayne Goss Oh my God! I can't believe you replied to my comment! What an honor. Thank you so very much. I am so happy you've held on to that cardigan. People don't realize the sentimental value of certain things and see them as just things. I still have the very first MAC lipstick I ever bought which was Ruby Woo. It is totally worn down to an unusable nub but, I will never throw that jewel away. Thank you for your reply. That was very sweet of you. 💖
Gosh, you are so authentic and real... more than any other person I have seen on TH-cam.... I mean this sincerely! You have such a good head on your shoulders. I think God has truly blessed you...
I'm in tears. Not sad tears but happy tears. Not many people have the guts to stick to their principles and follow through on a dream. I'm so proud of you and your Mom! You are who you are because of her and she deserves kudos as well!
Passion projects are always so inspiring to hear about. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing!❤️Mad respect for all your hard work. You are an exceptional human being.👏🏻👍🏻
People who are not self made will never understand the pride and sense of REAL confidence achieved when you work hard for what you have. Congratulations to you on all you have achieved. I love your content!
I really get what you're saying! I'm quite similar but for different reasons. I'm chronically ill. There is no cure. I don't know if I will grow old or if I'll die early because of my illness. I can't work, meet friends, travel etc. I can't leave my house basically. I'm 20 (almost 21) years old and I'm able to leave my house around 10 times every year. I am just very sick. And I have been for 6 years now. So, I spend all my money on makeup. Or, most of it (except bills and if I need something else) - and I don't want to buy drugstore just because. I don't need to save my money, and makeup is what keeps me going. Buying high end makeup to just look at it and play with it - the way it makes me feel - THAT'S why I do this! I get that not everyone can afford high end stuff. But we all have our reasons and just because someone else can't afford it doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy it. If you have the money and that's how you want to spend it - that's no ones decision but yours!💓
are you weeping ? bless your heart. I went to work at 13 so I could buy myself what I need. I totally understand. thans for sharing over 70 still glamorous
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU and this video to moon and back. This video makes you realise you never know people back stories and to never judge!! Lots of love xoxo
Oh wow I just watched this Wayne, I smiled through every moment and am so proud of you and the belief you have in yourself, your passion, your drive and that you’re following your dream. I wish everything for you that you wish for yourself- your lovely mum must be so proud of you 💋
Thank you Wayne, I just did my makeup and I don't want to cry because I have a client coming soon. I'm a single mom and a solo aesthetician/makeup atrist/massage therapy student and this is one of the most touching video I have ever seen. I gotta stop my mascara is going to run down my face. Thank you Wayne, you are and always will be an inspiration to me. Your just as awesome as always.
🙌🏼🙌🏼💛😘 This is the one!!! I understand that feeling. When you come from nothing it makes you feel good to have something high end. Because YOU bought that. That person that came from nothing did that. And some people don’t understand and will never because some people have the privilege to grow up with parents that hand them everything. ( of course it’s every parents dream to provide for their kids) but sometimes it can’t be like that. The majority of us have to work for what we want, and it feels good doing so once everything starts to fall into place!
You are an inspiration! I totally understand how to work hard and struggle through hard times but it does make us stronger and definitely have a goal makes it easier. I just recently came across your channels and you have definitely inspired me. Thank you for sharing your story, I know it can be hard.
I was that mum! At one point in my life I was a single mum, going without meals or a warm coat, just so my 4 year old could have nice clothes, a warm home and food in her tummy. Cornflakes became my staple meal. I'm not a feel sorry for me person but what that kind of situation does is it gives you a desperate need to succeed and luckily I did. I've worked my arse off and now work in the luxury beauty trade so I get this video! Hard work and determination goes a long way. You don't change but people see different sides of you as you do more with your life. And you never ever forget where you came from! Wayne you're truly amazing x
Your story is so inspirational, I can relate to it a lot- my mother and father had my siblings and I when they were 21 and despite us living in such a poor and violent estate in Croydon (gang violence on the daily), my dad worked 3 jobs solidly from 5am-8pm and my mum would accept any work she could whilst looking after us all. We had our house broken into multiple times by a certain gang, my mum would get slapped and spat on whilst taking us to school just for being a woman by the gang, my parents bought the same bike twice for my brother despite not having the money as they were both stolen by this gang, and our neighbour was shot by them, but now we live in a much MUCH safer town in Kent, I've been able pass my A levels with flying colours and am going to a top top uni all thanks to the love and support of my family. I can't wait to have enough money in the future to support my parents and buy them holidays as well as being as amazing as they have been to my own future family ❤️
Man did I...misjudge you, thanks you for sharing, you really open up my eyes to a more true side of who you are. Cuz I was like... thinking Wayne has great techniques but probably this 'white guy' don't deal with cheap drugstore stuff but man was I wrong. I love the passion you have your career and how much u believe in yourself is very inspiring...#respect
@@WayneGoss NO..............THANK YOU! You have no idea how you have changed me from the inside out.....your beautiful soul has made me believe in myself and be proud of me, to spite my challenges and show my challenges who's boss! :) You have been a game changer in my life and I can't even begin to verbally express it enough how grateful I am to have found you. You have taught me that acceptance of whatever flaws I have gives me opportunity to figure out how to be a better person. You have taught me that focusing on my beauty within will give my outward self beauty as well. You have taught me to actually stop criticizing myself for all my flaws and learn how to love myself again. There were years I was so lost in the pit of being self-critical, believing that all my flaws as a woman were so horrible, why bother with putting makeup on and getting dressed in my finest. That's all gone...now, I actually enjoy my femininity while embracing all my flaws and love me....and, I wake up and put makeup on every morning and dress for success...not according to anyone else's version of success...but, what I deem as success for me. Your makeup techniques that have me enjoying doing make up again, is only one fraction of the good you've been for me. Okay...I'm rambling now...I know. 🤐😁 But, seriously...keep doing you, we who love you are so grateful that you are the man you want yourself to be! We are better humans because of you! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤗
I only discovered your channel only a few months ago and I'm so glad I did. Thank you for the light bulb moment : "I can't do this YET but I am gonna do this". What a fantastic story and what an inspiration you are !
I've never thumbs up or commented on a video, I've been watching youtube for 12 years and I'm 28 now! I love this video and good on you for getting what you have always wanted!!xxx :-)
Thanks so much for being vulnerable & sharing your story. Today is the first day that I discovered you. I'm impressed with your integrity, determination & the passion that eminates from you. I'm a 50 year old woman living near Washington DC who is rediscovering how much I love to play e/make-up and how much it can boost my self esteem. I can't wait to learn from you. Cheers!
We love you Wayne give your momma a hug from all of us. Oh my goodness the struggle is real LOL, i thought i was the only one. I am in my thirtys and I am still figuring out what I want to do with my life.
Loved and really related to this. I’m going through huge financial difficulty currently and will probably end up homeless. I’m a single mummy. I am also trying to build a business with no help whatsoever. I understand your joy in makeup as I feel the same way when I create a product. Like my unicorn palette, that’s sold hundreds of thousands. But some very bad luck has put me in a very scary situation and your video has given me hope and motivation ( that I usually have myself to be honest but I’m really struggling and frightened today) Thank you x I love your channel xx
Beautiful inspiring story.. I was living in Cardiff 94-98, love the neighborhood very much.. Recently I follow your channel and find what you’ve share is very beautiful tips for ordinary woman on how they should put the make up on.. Thank you
I love you Wayne, you always have a way of speaking to my soul. Thank you for this. I want to be a painter, it's everything to me. Sometimes I just want to give up because it's so hard and I've been doing other things for a living that don't matter to me. The path ahead is still long, but your word are so encouraging, so thank you, really, you're amazing ❤️
My dear even me that English isn't even my native language, understood everything u said so clearly. I love u 🌹
We love you Wayne ❤️
I love you xxxxx
Congratulations for your attitude! I love when I see people who are hungry to succeed by working hard and stay motivated.
Five years later, I only discovered this guy, now I’m obsessed with his talent, his personality and his gorgeous face
"I still don't really know what I'm doing with my life, but I love what I do, and that makes me happy. And I truly believe that when you love what you do, the money will follow." -Wayne Goss. This should be a Ted talk. Look at how radiant he is when he is talking about makeup 😍
Thank you darling, thank you xoxox
amen to this. well said
+Wayne Goss you should never have to explain to others why you do what you do and you should never apologise to others for your success.
Very well said
👏
Thankyou for all your videos and I really hope you see this you are my hero keep up the great work 👏
Beautifull story 💞
Hope you've been able to keep going outside :)
I seen your comment. I hope you are still in recovery from this condition. I have had bouts of it.. take care!
Keep moving and keep going forward! Congratulations!
aGORAphobia, luv. I have a slight case, too.
Another reason to add why we love you. Thank you for trying true to yourself, Wayne.
yes Bubz !
Thank you for sharing. x
Thank you for sharing. x Your authenticity really makes you stand out. Your passion and compassion is what makes a true artist. Not high end products. You should use you Mum as your next model.x
bubzzzzzz notice meeeeee lol
Bubzvlogz
Thanks so much for this video!! I'm a single mother of 3 kids and I'm literally in my room crying because I don't know what to do anymore....and it just fills me with hope to know that if I dont give up my kids will have a better future
thanks so much to both ...its nice to know some people understand😯
Keep on truckin', mama.
Same. Really hoping that things change once I graduate college. I am really happy my children are so young and don't understand how much we don't have.
Sending warm thoughts, prayers for over coming and strength to continue to be the best mother, mentor, friend your children will ALWAYS need.
Tonight when you go to sleep send a thank you to your mother. She raised a great man with lot of determination. 😘 You didn't change you just matured.
well said
👍👍👍
AGREE!!!! 🙌🏼
😚🖒👏
agreed, well said
As the CEO of a therapeutic foster care agency, I can only pray that the children in our agencies care will grow to be as soulful, determined and successful as you are. Knowing your passion and having an incredible work ethic to get to where you want to be is truly the ultimate success. So encouraging to hear your story and thank you for sharing it with all of us. You used your life situations and struggles to grow.
Everytime i watch your videos my 6 month old baby girl smiles from ear to ear. Thank you for you story!! you made our day.
Oh darling, that has made my day darling, thank you xoxoxo
Thank you so so much darling, thank you xx
Clinique is a high end product to me but its affordable...what negative comments???
AMEN!
Thanks for sharing people.👏👏👏
Wayne, you are such a beautiful soul. 💗
by the way, i love nudes too! No matter if its nail polish, eyeshadow, lipstick, or blush.
+Emily Nicole or pictures 😉
siobhan hahaha
The psychological impact money has on our life and choices is profound.
I have an emotional relationship with money and self worth
True. It's a tool, and some use it recklessly but those who don't can build great things.
I totally agree! While money isn't "everything" it is still, very, very important.
I am reading this four years later and absolutely get what you are saying-
Your story touched me... I was that child and I was that Mom. I appreciated hearing you perspective. God Bless you sweet man xo
I am 72 and still fighting aging and love all your videos. So much wisdom and instruction about growing old gracefully with cosmetics. I recommend you to all my senior divas. No problem with the high end products, I can afford them now!😉
Wayne, you are an amazing man. We appreciate earning things more than just handed stuff. Kids today have no idea what that is like. Blessings!
(I somehow found words as I was listening. See! Inspiring!)
I’m watching this 3 years after you posted it and I just want to say I love your honesty in all things. You’re a consummate professional and gentleman. 💕
Words can't explain the amount of respect of I've got for you, your kind heart, your achievements and wishes...I hope the best of the bests comes up in your life
DARLING,you are the sweetest, most honest, even at you're own expense ,make-up artist in the world!
Terri Gelbaum Amen!!❤️
Inspirational. Thank you Wayne for your honesty. Your Mum must be so proud of you
i didn't even notice the video was long, it was absolutely captivating.
Cory Louis same.
exactly my thoughts 💕
Ok, I’m still playing catch-up on You Tube. I love this man! What an incredible, passionate, and truthful guy. Thank you fir sharing your story. Ironically, I just a set of your brushes two days ago. I am happy to be supporting you and what you do for a living. You love it, I love it and I’m so glad I find wearing makeup fun again! Thank you! If you read ANY of my messages on old posts, please let me know at least once.
Awww...this is so precious. We are privileged to hear you story. So powerful Wayne...
A post
Social media era is a very judgmental one. (I'm sure people said similar things before social media... Like we would make comments, but we made it just to our friends and done. Moving on it. It was just a chat with one person. None is this bashing and entitlement.) okay. I'm done. Moving on. I'm doing the exact same thing I am complaining about.
I agree; but I know where he came from and although I try to keep up with the highland taste, it's not the product but the artist. Go Wayne!
Who would give this inspirational story a thumbs down? Not all of us are born with silver spoons! Love this Wayne. TYFS! 🥰💞👍
*huge love*
Robin Moses Nail Art I Don't Know You Personally. But, I Love You Sooh, Very Much. And, I Wish To Find A Woman Just Like You. 🌹
Robin Moses Nail Art Lovely, I thought of you when I saw this video!
You my friend are a rare beauty that shines like a beacon... Keep sharing your joy... You have an amazing talent...
You are a true inspiration to me thank you for this video.
+M. Peeters Yes,it is.
me too!
The most genuinely heartfelt and authentic story. You are a beautiful person and I applaud you.
Thank you darling. In future i will list dupes for the products i use :)
:) have a great day ♡
female lucifer
I honest to god did not expect a reply, likes or a ♡ from the handsome make up artist I follow daily.
You know I'm screen shooting , printing it to put above my vanity desk right ? :D
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I've never seen this side of you. It only has me respecting you even more. I knew their was something special about you when I found your videos 6-7 years ago and subscribed. I've learned a lot from you. Thank You.
Your story makes me want to purchase your brushes even more. I feel the same way, you do it on your own and no one can take it away or change or anything! I was raised middle class but my grandparents were Italian immigrants that worked for everything they owned so it was instilled in me as a child. My grandfather started delivering groceries at 13 in a horse drawn cart and went on to own three grocery stores and died a millionaire.
wow! what an amazing story. god bless. xx
my heart goes out to you, Wayne Goes. Your words, " I can't do this, yet" have inspired me so much.
💕
Same here... watching this 4 years later. Thank you 💙
"I'm still dreaming, I'm still thinking of what I'm gonna do with my life, because I still don't really know what I'm doing with my life"
I know that's not what the video is about, but this line caught me.
+Wayne Goss You are very special,keep it😚😚😚
+Wayne Goss I know this is completely besides the point of the video and I apologise deeply for this but GEEZ YOU'RE 38? God damn
+Wayne Goss thank you :)
+Wayne Goss I very much needed to hear this. Thank you ❤️
Wayne, what you said about the possibility of change gave me chills, you hit the nail on the head!
Obviously you have figured
this out!
Xo hugs.
Not watching you*... I meant watching your channel. I sounded creepy! Oops hahaha
+Nicky Bee 😂😂 lmao that made me laugh you sound lovely Nicky not creepy at all X
He probably read the first sentence and quickly closed his blinds. 😂😉
+Michele Hatch What makes you think I'm outside? 😱 Haha! Ok now that was creepy of me.
+Bonnie Nash Haha! At least someone appreciates my awkward moment! 😘😂
Also, you're doing a great job Wayne. You deserve everything you have and will grow to have in the future :)
This makes me love and appreciate you that much more!! I’m sure your mother is beyond proud of you!! Thank you for sharing!!!! 💙
a lot of people will probably relate with your story and will definitely consider this very inspirational.
Debi Beautiful you were able to do that for your mom and you made her last years happy ones.
Thank you for sharing your story. I am 78 years old and I still want to look as good as I can. Thank you for helping me. I hope you continue to speak and live your truth. When you are my age and look back at your life you will know you lived with integrity. Never be afraid to love who you are.
"I can't do this" vs "I can't do this yet" I love that.
The genuine love and passion you feel for what you do is fantastic! Such an awesome and inspiring story. Thank you for sharing it!
I just love you to pieces! You're an amazing person! Don't let anyone get you down!
This was inspiring. It comes from me working my arse off at the moment for what I want. Thank you. I was ready to give up.
its like me rn.My mum is disabled and after my dad left when i was 3 we had no financial support.Right now we live off benefits but we can't really afford much because my mum can't work -she used to be able to but she got abused by my dad until it caused her to be severely ill physically and mentally.
Mustafa Mohammad dear Mustafa I wish you all the love and succes in the world! Praying you'll make it one day to Ox. Sending love and light ❤
Mustafa Mohammad
Keep going , the only person stopping you from doing anything is you ! , You can do anything x
Wish you the best of luck, and for your mother too 💕
God bless you and your mother sweetheart on every step of your way! Never give up! You will be fine. Wish you all the best. Much love
Trust me dear, you can make it! I remember being depressed as a child for being poor, now I'm a university graduate. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep going!
it's so refreshing to see someone so passionate about what they love. I'm almost 52 and still don't know what I love to do.
Very touching and very relatable in many ways! I absolutely love you and truly hope you find in life all that you seek.
Thanks for sharing your story Jaime. I can see where your coming from.
+Jaime Nicole it was swwe of him, I just love him and all he is about!
I understand the selfish parent thing totally.
Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly love you any more 😩😩😭😭❤️❤️ this is so REAL
Passion projects are always so inspiring to hear about. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing!❤️Mad respect for all your hard work. You are an exceptional human being.👏🏻👍🏻
Thank you for being so inspiring, Wayne. This is exactly what I needed to hear, your confidence and trust in yourself is beautiful 💗
People who are not self made will never understand the pride and sense of REAL confidence achieved when you work hard for what you have. Congratulations to you on all you have achieved. I love your content!
You seem to have a really beautiful soul. I'm very proud of you & your accomplishments.
+young soul b ...very sorry about your illness, sending love
Oh gosh I'm so sorry!! I've also struggling with a chronic illness and have been housebound on and off for 3 years. What is your illness?
Praying for you !! if you wanna spend extra money on makeup go for it! enjoy it!
wishing you lots of health!
This is just the positive thought I needed right now in my life. Thank you Wayne and well done on everything you have achieved.
are you weeping ? bless your heart. I went to work at 13 so I could buy myself what I need. I totally understand. thans for sharing over 70 still glamorous
This is the most touching video of yours I've watched. You seem as beautiful inside as you are outside. Blessings!

🙌🏼🙌🏼💛😘
This is the one!!!
"goss cosmetics" has a night ring to it
Nice* 🙈
"gosmetics" lol
Watching this video makes my respect for you shoot through the roof, I can't wait to work for success like you have x
Money matters when you don't have any. That is so true!
Man did I...misjudge you, thanks you for sharing, you really open up my eyes to a more true side of who you are. Cuz I was like... thinking Wayne has great techniques but probably this 'white guy' don't deal with cheap drugstore stuff but man was I wrong. I love the passion you have your career and how much u believe in yourself is very inspiring...#respect
venesha johnson 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so so much. Thank you xxxx
Mar Kav you good sis? white privilege 100% exists even if you don’t want to see it😘
Venesha Johnson “white guy” enough with the reverse racism. Sad
I only discovered your channel only a few months ago and I'm so glad I did. Thank you for the light bulb moment : "I can't do this YET but I am gonna do this". What a fantastic story and what an inspiration you are !

If you love what you do, it never becomes work. It becomes your passion.
But some very bad luck has put me in a very scary situation and your video has given me hope and motivation ( that I usually have myself to be honest but I’m really struggling and frightened today)
Thank you x I love your channel xx
