Recently had the tanks changed on my s3 Daimler. Happy to finally have both tanks working and did a 300 mile round trip last weekend, including a three hour motorway queue with no issues 😊

Nice vid Adam, well done as usual! I had a chance and was going to purchase a double six Jag a few years back, and what happened was, it was stored in the basement of an apartment complex, and this complex was near the water. Halifax is on the Atlantic Ocean, and this building was next to a saltwater bay, it was early January, and there was a full moon and a very high tide and strong winds. Well, the basement of this building got flooded and the water went higher than the door sills and flooded the car. So, I withdrew my offer and that was that. I did buy a Jag of that vintage, but just an XJ6 1983. Lovely auto, but not a double six.

Once the old Jag start to rust there a nightmare! I've got a couple of old V 12s. But they have to be kept in the garage here in Nova Scotia or they'll get rusty fast. The six-cylinder engines like you have two are easier and more affordable overall. More user-friendly. I think you made the right choice for sure!

Adam, I'm so envious. I recently bought an '86 XJ6 that had been sitting for at least 10 years and the fuel tanks were shot. So I've bought new tanks but am having a devil of a time, first getting the bumpers off because of rust and then getting the tanks out because of seized nuts. You were able to do it easily and I'm having a terrible time. Still, great video; as always.

Always nice to see a troubleshooting video! It would be interesting to see a video on that rear hub work you are doing.

Love those Daimlers. Rarely seen out in the wild in my neck of the woods in New England. Beautiful Jaguars.

That was a cheap fix l.C.E vehicles to make repairs are cheap unlike an EV battery l.C.E vehicles rule

@@LivingWithAClassic The battery on an EV is energy storage the equivalent on an l.C.E vehicle is the fuel tank do they only last 12 years as in an EV no they will last a long the petrol in it does last for a while but to refill it it doesn't take hours well my 27 year old Toyota Hilux still has its original petrol tank
