I have a svg file fit to the size of the wood I want to engrave. When I load it into the engraver software it expands it beyond the size of the engraving surface. Any pointers on how to fix this?

Hi Willy. Ive had an EleksMaker A3 for a few years now but Ive recently upgraded my Laptop to Win10, now I find I'm unable to display my eleksmaker software after installing it. Do you know if this software runs on Win10 or not?

Hi. No I haven't. I use an old borrowed Samsung notebook with win7 on it. Doesn't work all the time so have to try it first on some cardboard. Very frustrating at it takes a while to load when it freezes up. Of you're using one, what operating system are you using?
Can I use a 15w laser on the eleksmaker a3 pro?

Do you think it's possible to cut like 3mm plywood?
3mm ply should not be any problem, you probably need to take multiple passes but it should work. I am planning on doing some experiments with the laser machine finding out what you can cut and not :)

Bro u can download LaserGrbl, after load jpg file in Lasergrbl and make dimension what u want, and after this save the project in nc file. The nc file can open every laser software. Btw, your logo save in jpg, after convert in nc file with lasergrbl ad after open in Elekscam.

lasergrbl needs Grbl 1.1 firmware. it will not work on older boards. I found the firmware sets the laser to pins D11, D12, and D13. the older boards use D13 to turn the laser on and off. the Grbl 1.1 uses D11 for 'Z' limit and D12 to power the laser and D13 to change (spindle) direction but it uses pins D11 and D13 to adjust the power to the laser(PWM).. in the .h file on the source code it ls labeled as SPINDLE instead of laser.
I have several of the eleks maker L2 boards,,, none will work with the GRBL .09 or NEWER firmware.. (well, they work just the laser stays on all the time).

Yeah, the Eleksmaker software is a bit off. I don't use this machine any more, so I don't know where you can get the software

Hello. Thank you for the 1st assembly video. Now I have the A3 Pro but TextCarv comes out opposite. How do I set the text to upright?

Hmm, is some of the axis inverted? Do they move the right direction when you use the "jog" buttons pluss and minus?
Finally I managed to adjust it. The issue was with the Axis settings. Now am good, thank you for feedback
the problem is ELEKS MAKERv3.1 will not work with older boards using 2 wire laser. and the older firmware will NOT work with ELEKS MAKER V3.1. another problem is the GRBL 1.1 doesn't work with older boards either. it turns the laser on FULL power and will not shut off. also the newer GRBL controller software will NOT work with older firmware.

@@gyorgytorok7777 I ordered a new mana se v3 board from bang good. Should be here before Christmas. If you try the same make sure you get the correct one. The one you want is the one with both the 3 wire and the 2wire laser connectors. They do sell one that looks like it has both,,, but it will not work with a 2wire laser.

saw this you tube on improvements. Very helpful, like to see a rubber snap over to focus the laser to keep hands away from it. Also like the silent stepper upgrade you can simply swap out for hte stepper controller. SilentStepStick - TMC2130 Stepper Motor Driver

Does the electronic board work with GRBL? Could you connect the machine to the UniversalGcodeSender,
there you could look up the settings and the GRBL version if it runs GRBL :). GRBL firmware runs with a lot
of good software, LaserGRBL for exampel which is free.... Must admit playing with a laser in this chinese
setup, where the laser fires full power by switching the machine on, does put watching porn in jeopardy.
This is not a toy for a teen! And these protection glasses are rated for what wavelenghts of the laser? Are
they certivied or is it just green acrylic. Plese be extra careful! Eyedamage would be permanent and
irreversable.
newer boards will(SHOULD) work with GRBL 1.1. older boards will not work with ver1.1. older boards use a simple laser on/off(2 wires), while newer boards have a power adjustment for the laser(3 wires). I have several of the eleks maker L2 boards they will not work with ver 1.1. eleksmaker is now using MANA SE boards with there laser engravers.
